Meet Jerry ❤️ Jerry was originally my brother's cat, and he came to live with me after my brother passed away. He's about 3½ years old and is truly a wonderful boy with a sweet, playful personality. Jerry is an indoor cat who grew up with two canine siblings, so he's very comfortable around dogs. I jokingly call him a "cog" instead of a cat because he often acts more like a dog than a typical feline. He's friendly, curious, and easygoing. I don't think I've ever heard him hiss, and when he wants something he'll often let out a series of short little whines instead of a regular meow—though he still has a proper cat meow when the occasion calls for it. Making the decision to rehome Jerry has been incredibly difficult. The only reason I'm looking for a new home is because he and my resident cat, Pip, have not been able to coexist. We've spent the past five months trying slow introductions and every method we could find to help them get along, but unfortunately it's not working out.

Last fall we TNR'd some young cats that were dumped at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Briarcliff. This spring we realized we missed one, and she was extremely pregnant on May 8 when she was seen. We got her trapped on May 26 but it was too late, she already had the kittens. We held her for 3 hours but couldn't find the kittens so we had to let her go. On July 4, she showed up at her feeding location with 5 kittens. We are guessing they were born shortly after May 8.Beacon is a little male from the litter. As of 7/18, he is too small to be neutered. If he isn't neutered at adoption time, the adoption fee can be waived. If he is neutered, there will be a $75 adoption fee. His other littermates are Navy (torbie/calico), Jetty (torbie), Shore (calico) and Skiff (tuxedo).
