Birdie came to SWCHS as a transfer from another humane society after spending almost six months there, having no luck finding her forever home. We`re hoping Birdie`s family is here in Wood County! Birdie is a sweet, chunky gal that is outgoing and affectionate! She loves to find the comfiest places to sleep, but she also really enjoys toys and laser pointers. Birdie is a cat for the people - she`s always at the door to her Gazebo asking all visitors to give her some lovin`! Miss Birdie prefers to be the star of the show; she isn`t a fan of other kitties. While she may adjust with some slow and patient introductions, we think she would do best in a home where she gets to be #1.

I`m Footloose!I`m an 8-month-old spayed female with a lot of spunk! I came to SWCHS after a good samaritan found me in desperate need of help. My front left leg was severely injured beyond repair, so I had to have my arm amputated. That doesn`t stop me, though! I love to run, play, jump, and do everything I can to ignore the Vet`s orders to rest and take it easy. I love to snuggle, and when you pet me, I immediately flop on my back and show off my tabby cat tummy! My surgery incision is healing nicely, and I`m not bothered by it at all. I`ve adapted quickly to only having three legs, and I`d love to come home with you to brighten your days! Please give me a chance - I promise I`m no different than a cat with four legs! I can do all the same things, including love you a whole lot!

Peanut is a shy and quiet kitty, but once he gets comfortable, he truly becomes a lovebug! Peanut loves to be brushed, and gets super excited when you pick up a slicker brush. Peanut is 10 years old and came in with his siblings Bear and Tigger. Peanut loves to spend his time tucked into the comfiest cat houses and blanket forts, or perched on a window sill taking a nice nap. Peanut would do his absolute best in a quiet, relaxed home that will let him feel safe so he can become comfortable and confident at his own pace. Peanut might do well with other cats, but new things are a little scary to him so slow introductions would be best for him so he doesn`t feel overwhelmed.
