Hubert came to us along his two brothers very timid, nervous and unsure of people. After spending a long time in a loving foster home where he had start to warm up, he was still rather nervous when he came back until he was paired up with a social young adult cat, Barista. Since then, little by little Hubert has turned a corner as he learns from his companion how to play, relax and feel comfortable in the presence of people. He spends less time hiding away, though still prefers have a hidey box as an option, as has grown rather curious of his surroundings and those who come to stay by. I put the “ella” in fella. Hi, I’m Darnella, yes, I’m a boy with a little feminine flair, and I wear it fabulously. I may be shy when we first meet, but give me a little time, and I turn into a total lovebug. I live for chin scratches, ear rubs, and especially those top-tier butt scritches. I even like being held! I can be a tiny bit timid about being carried at first, but once I know I’m safe, I melt right in. I’m currently unsure how I feel about other pets or kids, so slow introductions will help me settle in like the cool cat I am. When you’re loving on me, I make the cutest little peeps and mews — and I’ll gently bop my head against you to make sure you know I want more. I’m not yet neutered, so there will be a $100 refundable neuter deposit to help me stay my best self. If you’re looking for a sweet, slightly sassy gentleman who blossoms into affection, I’m your guy.
