Story
Meet Waylon! Waylon is a 7-year-old gentleman with a heart as big as his smile! We believe he’s a mix of German Shepherd, Catahoula, and Beagle — and he seems to have inherited the best traits from all three. This happy-go-lucky boy has an endlessly wagging tail and a gentle, friendly personality. He’s well-mannered in the house, fully housebroken, and crate trained. Waylon gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids, making him an easy fit for just about any family. He’s currently working on polishing up his obedience skills and doing great! Waylon is a bit overweight at the moment (around 60 lbs) and is on a healthy diet plan — his ideal weight is closer to 55 lbs, so he’ll appreciate some gentle walks and portion control in his new home. Waylon is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and tested heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $250. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a joyful spirit, Waylon is your guy!December 7, 2025, 8:39 pm

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
He is approximately 8 years old, intact, and needs someone with prior experience. He has to be kept separate from the other dogs as many fights have had to be broken up over the years. As far as we know he’s fine with female dogs. He likes human adults, is fine with both men and women, and will be friendly and want to jump on you, loves attention and affection unsure about small children. Hes likely not house trained anymore as he has been an outside dog for awhile now. We have small children in our home and don’t have the time/resources needed to properly handle and train him the way he needs. He needs a lot of love, patience, and either a professional trainer or someone willing to put their focus on him. We are currently trying to find an affordable option to get him neutered!!

Story
If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, Atlas is the guy for you. His unique looks and amazingly sweet and inquisitive personality are products of his rich breed mixture. Atlas (also known as "Mr. Steal Your Heart and Pillow") enjoys long walks, short car rides, exploring, cooling off in creeks, lounging around the house, playing tug, unstuffing plush toys, wrestling and playing the bitey face game with his doggy sibling, cuddling in bed, and anything else that allows him to spend time with his family. At almost 3 years old, he has outgrown most undesirable puppy behaviors, but is still an active boy who requires adequate exercise. He does well with children and other dogs. He has done well with cats! He likes to lead walks and can be overly eager to meet new dog friends, so some training in those areas is recommended. He also gets overwhelmed in busy settings and sometimes experiences stranger danger so it is advised to avoid crowded settings unless addressed by a trainer. He is overnight crate trained, but he becomes anxious when left in the crate for extended periods of time during the day so his ideal home would have a pet parent who is home for the greater part of the day. Atlas is learning how to pull carts. He is a very smart dog and seeks to please his owners. Atlas is house/potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. Story
Looking for a loyal companion with a side of sass? Meet Louisa, our beautiful Catahoula mix! This resilient girl arrived at our shelter as a devoted mom to a litter of puppies and, despite a heartworm-positive diagnosis, she's now fully healthy and ready to find her forever home! Louisa has a past that's made her a bit cautious, so she's got some trust issues to overcome. But here's the magic: once you've earned your spot in her inner circle, be prepared for an abundance of love, loyalty, and hilarious sass! She'll shower you with affection and isn't afraid to let her playful personality shine. Did we mention her undying love for cheeseburgers? It's the way to her heart! We've been working closely with a behaviorist to help Louisa thrive, and she's made incredible progress. She's learning to be a pro at walking on a leash and enjoys her structured playtime, which helps her focus and build confidence. To continue her success, Louisa needs a home with structure and patience. She's looking for an adult-only household, as she needs a quiet environment without kids or cats. While she generally prefers to be the queen of her castle, a home with another dog *might* work if it's the absolute perfect match – think a calm, respectful companion who can appreciate her unique personality. If you're an experienced dog owner ready to provide a loving, consistent environment for a dog who will adore you fiercely once she feels safe, Louisa might just be your perfect match. Come meet this incredible girl and see if you can be the one to unlock all her love and sass!

Story
This lovely girl with the soulful eyes is named Bernadette. She's a 4 year old Catahoula mix weighing 50 pounds; all 50 of which are filled with love. She is terrific with other dogs, kids and cats. Bernadette is an old fashioned looking girl with the spotted coat of a Catahoula blended with the flavor of perhaps a bit of hound. She loves people and yearns for her own home. With you? (posted 6/3/25, TN) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **June 19, 2025, 4:29 pm
