Story
Maggie is a high-energy girl with big opinions and even bigger zoomies. She can keep up with an active home, loves toys even more than treats, and is perfectly capable of entertaining herself when no one else can match her pace. She enjoys sniffing, exploring, and when excited her play style gets a little rowdy, so a home without little kids would be best. She`s a good walker but better with a harness, politely accepts treats, and while she may be a little sassy, she backs it up with plenty of kisses. If you want fun, funny, and full of personality, Maggie is the one for you.***The last photo is of me and my canine pal Tanto. We have recently discovered Maggie knows Fetch!***

If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Peaches: Sweet as Pie and Full of Love   Peaches has overcome incredible odds to get where she is today. Neglected and tied to a tree with no food, water, or shelter, she was moments away from being abandoned when a Heidi’s Legacy volunteer stepped in to save her. At 4 years old and 51 pounds, Peaches is now safe and thriving in her foster home—but she still needs your help.   Peaches has a permanent reminder of her rough past. She was heartworm positive for so long before rescue that it caused irreversible damage to her lungs. While she’s now heartworm-free, she needs daily medications to keep her healthy and comfortable. These medications, along with her food and ongoing care, come at a cost, and we’re looking for sponsors to help support her.   Her foster family absolutely adores her and would love to keep her forever. With your sponsorship, we can make that dream a reality for Peaches and the people who’ve given her a second chance at life.   Peaches is a sweet, playful girl with a soft spot for toys—she’ll happily chase, chew, and snuggle them to her heart’s content. She’s house-trained, crate-loving, and a total wiggle-butt when her people come home. A fenced yard or screened porch is her happy place, where she can bask in the sun and soak up the fresh air.   Peaches needs an experienced, dog-savvy handler who understands her boundaries. She prefers to be the only pet (no cats or kids, please!) and thrives in a calm, structured environment.   Your sponsorship could change Peaches’ life and ensure she stays safe, healthy, and loved in the home she’s come to know as her own.   Preferred Methods of Donations   PayPal: @heidislegacy   Venmo: @HLDR2002   Zelle: Heidi’s Legacy   Website: heidislegacydogrescue.com/donate   The email associated with these accounts is info@heidislegacydogrescue.com     Could you be the hero Peaches has been waiting for? Story
Simon is a sweet, lovable, very intelligent dog, unfortunately he does not get along with our other, older, male dog, but does with our older female dog. We have tried training, keeping them separated, and that worked for awhile. Recently though, even while in his crate, he has tried to go after our other dog. We do not want to charge a fee, we just want him to go to a good home.

Story
My Dogs name is Max. He is 7 years old. I got him when he was 8 weeks old from a breeder in Largo. He is house trained. He does have his shots and he is microchipped as well. I am a single mom, so it’s just too hard to take care of an infant and a dog when I work full time. Max is loving, protective of his people once he builds a bond with you. He just deserves someone that has more time for him.

Story
Ollie pumpkin patch pics as a young puppy 🌞 Ollie Puppy Boy! Ollie is about now 10 months old (7/10/25 birthday), 55 lbs and growing! This sweet angel came to us when our trusted vet called us. He had a wound festering for weeks and his owner did not take him to the vet. It stemmed from one of their dogs biting him. The outcome was not good…he may lose his right front leg when we took him in. Despite the easier route of amputation, we fought hard to save Ollie’s leg through flushing the wound/joint as well as bacterial cultures to effectively treat the raging infection. We are getting updates and x-rays every few weeks and we notified that his growth plate looks good and he is NOT going to lose his leg. We spent thousands on unexpected vet bills for this tyke but we love him and his life mattered to us! Ollie is good with other dogs but they must be large (no cats, no small dogs) and he really is happy as an only with a very active family.❤️🌞 Ollie’s adoption fee is $400 and he is fully vetted, neutered, UTD on shots and ready to find her perfect home🐾❤️ To help pay our thousands in vet bills 💔 Donations can be made:
