Story
We are a military family, the constant moves has been stressful for her. She needs a family with more stability and time than we can provide. Nola is a loving, energetic dog. She loves to play in the backyard. And go for walks. Working on teaching her to be a good running partner, we are making progress. She is great with a family. And other dogs.

Story
Our very special, Ruby 🩷 We might be biased, but Ruby is one of the CUTEST freckle-faced puppies we’ve ever seen 💕 We have no idea what Ruby is or who her parents were, but she is the smartest, most amazing, fun-loving puppy that we can’t get enough of. Ruby is 5 months old and about 25lbs. She doesn’t have huge paws and doesn’t seem to be growing super fast, so we would take a guess that she may be more of a medium/large dog and end up around 45lbs. About Ruby: 🌟 She LOVES dogs. She loves playing, chasing and cuddling up to them. She gives no personal space and will lay on a dog’s head 😂 She just assumes every dog is her friend and can’t get enough of her dog friends. 🌟 She LOVES people. Ruby will smother you with kisses, follow you everywhere you go and snuggle up while you watch TV. She’s never met a stranger. 🌟 She’s super smart and food motivated. She knows sit and runs to the treat cabinet and sits down in front of it to show you how smart she is 😂 🌟 She has a big personality and lights up a room. She’s a fearless, brave little puppy who is going to be the most amazing adult dog one day. She’s full of life and not shy. We would really like for Ruby to have another playful dog in her forever home. But if you don’t have one, please let us know your plan for how/when she will play with other dogs 🐕 She also needs someone home often while she’s still a puppy. Ruby has age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip and will be spayed. She is in Tampa and her adoption fee is $300. ➡️ www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt Someone is going to be SO LUCKY to have this sweet girl! 🥹💕

Story
Meet Kelly – Your Future Best Friend Are you looking for a loyal, low-key companion to share your life with? Look no further — Kelly is your girl! This sweet senior pup is ready to fill your home (and your heart) with love, laughter, and lots of cuddles. After spending several years at Satchel’s Last Resort, Kelly recently transitioned to a foster home — and she’s been thriving! She settled in like she’d lived there forever and has proven to be the perfect house guest. Kelly is calm, well-mannered, and deeply devoted to her people. While she can be protective of her family at home, she absolutely loves meeting new people on her walks and happily soaks up belly rubs and kisses from everyone she meets. Kelly is a dream on the leash, knows all her basic commands, and listens like a pro. She’s a big fan of car rides — whether she’s riding shotgun or stretched out in the backseat, she’s just happy to be along for the journey. Kelly prefers a quiet life and would be happiest as your one-and-only furry friend — she’s not much for sharing attention with other pets. But with her in your life, you won’t feel the need for anyone else! If you think Kelly sounds like your perfect match, we’d love to introduce you! Please submit an adoption application at satchelslastresort.org, and one of our adoption counselors will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet. Kelly is ready to be your number one — are you ready to be hers? 🐾

Story
A shy and cautious boy, our handsome Kricket is looking for his forever home with a calm family who won't ask too much of him. Kricket is 8 years old and has been at Satchel's for 4 of those years learning to explore the world again one paw at a time. He may come up to you with worried eyes, but with a bit of encouragement and possibly a tasty treat, he will become your friend after a few meets. Kricket has a Woof Pack leader here at Satchel's and enjoys a day off in the home every week where he gets his weekly bath and enjoys some air conditioned nap time. He goes great in the home, staying off furniture and no accidents. Kricket loves the frequent air conditioned van rides with Quentin (his Woof Pack leader), stopping for walks around the shopping center parking lots and Twin Lakes, always engrossed in investigating. Kricket walks great on leash, though if spooked, tends to pull back to home base. When he is comfortable, Kricket will show a smirking smile, sneak in a few kisses and a happy wagging tail. He is a very sweet boy underneath that spotty coat of his, and with patience and encouragement will be able to expand his horizons. If you are looking for a friend to share new experiences with, but still like a cozy day in, Kricket would love to meet you! Kricket is uncertain of strangers and a few meets would be needed. For an appointment to meet him, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will be in touch.

Story
Meet the Catahoula Leopard Dog – The True Southern Explorer! Maggie is a true Catahoula breed at heart and her breed description is spot on with her personality...... The Catahoula Leopard Dog, often called the “Catahoula Cur,” is a striking and intelligent breed known for its colorful coat, piercing eyes, and boundless energy. Originally bred in Louisiana for herding wild hogs and cattle, this breed is the definition of hardworking, loyal, and independent. Catahoulas are natural problem-solvers and thrive when they have a job to do. They’re highly active dogs who love the outdoors — running, hiking, swimming, or exploring new scents are all in a day’s work for this determined pup. While they may not always be overly affectionate lap dogs, they’re deeply devoted to their people and form strong bonds with their families. Because of their intelligence and energy, Catahoulas do best with experienced owners who can provide structure, training, and plenty of physical and mental stimulation. A home with room to roam — a big yard, farm, or land — is ideal for this adventurous breed. With the right companion, the Catahoula Leopard Dog is a loyal, courageous, and endlessly fascinating partner ready to take on the world by your side. If you would like to meet me, please complete an online questionnaire and one of our adoption counselors will be reaching out to see if I will be a good fit for you and your home.  Hope to see you soon!  https://www.fluffanimalrescue.org/adoption-application My adoption fee includes my sterilization, microchip and registration, all core vaccines to date, dewormer and 1st month's Flea and Heartworm Preventatives. Thanks for considering adoption! *Information deemed reliable, but not guarenteed* ##2278480##
