Story
Meet the Catahoula Leopard Dog – The True Southern Explorer! Maggie is a true Catahoula breed at heart and her breed description is spot on with her personality...... The Catahoula Leopard Dog, often called the “Catahoula Cur,” is a striking and intelligent breed known for its colorful coat, piercing eyes, and boundless energy. Originally bred in Louisiana for herding wild hogs and cattle, this breed is the definition of hardworking, loyal, and independent. Catahoulas are natural problem-solvers and thrive when they have a job to do. They’re highly active dogs who love the outdoors — running, hiking, swimming, or exploring new scents are all in a day’s work for this determined pup. While they may not always be overly affectionate lap dogs, they’re deeply devoted to their people and form strong bonds with their families. Because of their intelligence and energy, Catahoulas do best with experienced owners who can provide structure, training, and plenty of physical and mental stimulation. A home with room to roam — a big yard, farm, or land — is ideal for this adventurous breed. With the right companion, the Catahoula Leopard Dog is a loyal, courageous, and endlessly fascinating partner ready to take on the world by your side. If you would like to meet me, please complete an online questionnaire and one of our adoption counselors will be reaching out to see if I will be a good fit for you and your home.  Hope to see you soon!  https://www.fluffanimalrescue.org/adoption-application My adoption fee includes my sterilization, microchip and registration, all core vaccines to date, dewormer and 1st month's Flea and Heartworm Preventatives. Thanks for considering adoption! *Information deemed reliable, but not guarenteed* ##2278480##

Please only send inquiries to the email in this bio all others will not be answered. Please read the bio before sending questions - we answer all we know about the dog here. If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Peaches: Sweet as Pie and Full of Love   Peaches has overcome incredible odds to get where she is today. Neglected and tied to a tree with no food, water, or shelter, she was moments away from being abandoned when a Heidi’s Legacy volunteer stepped in to save her. At 4 years old and 51 pounds, Peaches is now safe and thriving in her foster home—but she still needs your help.   Peaches has a permanent reminder of her rough past. She was heartworm positive for so long before rescue that it caused irreversible damage to her lungs. While she’s now heartworm-free, she needs daily medications to keep her healthy and comfortable. These medications, along with her food and ongoing care, come at a cost, and we’re looking for sponsors to help support her.   Her foster family absolutely adores her and would love to keep her forever. With your sponsorship, we can make that dream a reality for Peaches and the people who’ve given her a second chance at life.   Peaches is a sweet, playful girl with a soft spot for toys—she’ll happily chase, chew, and snuggle them to her heart’s content. She’s house-trained, crate-loving, and a total wiggle-butt when her people come home. A fenced yard or screened porch is her happy place, where she can bask in the sun and soak up the fresh air.   Peaches needs an experienced, dog-savvy handler who understands her boundaries. She prefers to be the only pet (no cats or kids, please!) and thrives in a calm, structured environment.   Your sponsorship could change Peaches’ life and ensure she stays safe, healthy, and loved in the home she’s come to know as her own.   Preferred Methods of Donations   PayPal: @heidislegacy   Venmo: @HLDR2002   Zelle: Heidi’s Legacy   Website: heidislegacydogrescue.com/donate   The email associated with these accounts is info@heidislegacydogrescue.com     Could you be the hero Peaches has been waiting for? Story
Sweet and spunky Pepper is a very high-energy, active, 1.5yr old who was found as a stray around 6mo old. She loves to run, go out on hikes, chase lizards and other little creatures and loves to play with other large dogs. She enjoys some cuddles on the couch, being chased, swimming once she's comfortable and she loves working for treats. She needs good mental and physical work which is why she's tending to get into trouble in her current apartment home. Without a good outlet she likes to become destructive and rip her bed and other toys up and she tends to resource guard food against other dogs. As a result she is not getting a long with the other smaller dogs in the family. Her ideal home would be with an active adult(s) or a family with children in the house with plenty of space to play and run in a yard. She does need a strong-willed owner as she does like to test what she can and cant get away with. She would be amazing at lure coursing/agility as she's super fast!

Story
Buck is a goofy and lovable Catahoula /American bulldog mix. He is not neutered. Due to my son’s allergies we are having to rehome. We would love for him to go to a family with lots of energy to take him out and play and show him all the attention he needs. He is bff with our Jack Russell. We have had no issues with aggression. We have two kids age 4 and eight. He does do great with kids, he does get excited and can be quite clumsy.

Story
PLEASE READ ALL NOTES BELOW THE ANIMAL PROFILE! Meet Skyler! She is a Catahoula Pit Bull mix with the cutest freckles. She LOVES to play fetch and has mad skills! She would love to get together to play! She is looking for a furever home with a big yard where she can run around, get out her zoomies, and chase lizards and balls, of course! She is very affectionate. She is also house broken and potty trained. She does need a limited ingredient diet or her tummy gets upset. She loves to cuddle and give kisses so a loving home is a must! FUN FACT: I have one blue eye and one brown eye. That is called Heterochromia. More from Skyler: Hey everyone! I'm Skyler! I’m a 5-year-old female Catahoula Pit mix with a heart full of love and energy! If you're looking for a playful, sweet, and super friendly companion, I'm your girl! I absolutely adore playing in the backyard and can't wait to show you my zoomies! I’m always up for a game of fetch or just running around to my heart's content. When I'm not busy playing, you’ll find me snuggled up in someone's lap, soaking up all the cuddles and affection. I know some cool commands like sit, down, and stay! But I have to admit, I'm quite the foodie and sometimes need a little extra motivation if treats aren’t involved. I’m crate trained, potty trained, and house trained, so you don’t have to worry about any messes or chewed-up furniture. I would love a home with a fenced yard where I can safely run and play. I'm great with older kids and would thrive in an active family who loves to have fun! However, I’d prefer a home without cats. I do need a bit of work on my leash training and listening to commands without treats, but with a firm and loving hand, I know I’ll get there in no time! So, if you're ready for endless fun, cuddles, and a loyal companion, please consider giving me a forever home! Love, Skyler Adoption FEE: $150 which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccinations. PLEASE REMEMBER by filling out this form you agree and understand ADOPTION is NOT guaranteed, we are not 1st come 1st served.
