If you choose to adopt her, the clinic staff will be with you every step of the way, answering questions and offering support. The process from detection to the final treatment is generally three months and involves some simple at-home steps to keep her safe while she recovers. The last step in the process is a follow-up test six months after her treatment begins. The Heartworm treatment process is highly successful and the staff anticipates that she will fully recover! This handsome boy may be a bit shy at first, so he needs someone who can give him the time and space to come out of his shell. But once Jerry realizes you're family, get ready for a ton of loyalty, love, and snuggles! While he might play a bit rough since he doesn’t quite realize his size, older kids are probably best. Potty training? No worries there! Jerry is a champ at going outside and has zero accidents. Plus, he’s perfectly happy chilling on the couch, patiently waiting for his family to come back home—no need for a crate! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption.
