Story
Violet is the mom of four puppies, Dahlia, Rose, Iris and Poppy (all already adopted). Her foster says she was simply the best mom and was so very grateful that she was rescued. This girl was seen walking the streets looking for food in a neighborhood in Memphis known to have MANY dogs wandering the streets. She was skin and bones and obviously nursing puppies. The search was on for her babies and she brought her kind rescuer to a backyard with several other dogs. Violet actually had a home and owner! We thought sure by her appearance that she was a street dog. Thankfully, the ""owners"" agreed to surrender mom and pups for rescue.Miss Violet does have an alpha personality, and can be dog selective. She’s amazing with kids, but is nervous when she meets someone new; but she gets over it quickly. Once she knows you, she will welcome you with open paws! She will follow her foster from room to room, but she is fine to be alone, as she is also independent.Violet is a bit of an opportunist when it comes to escaping…open door, gate, window - but it’s because she wants to be outside exploring. For this reason, she will REQUIRE a tall sturdy fenced in yard Her energy level is moderate - she kicks it up to play. She has a rough and rowdy play style and she’s very vocal during playtime. She loves loves loves to play with anyone that will play with her. When it is time to chill, she becomes extremely laid back. She’s happy to just sleep and snuggle. She is the cuddliest dog her foster has ever met. She loves to spoon so she shoulders her way into your arms. She rests her paws on you anytime she’s near.Violet also sleeps with her humans. She literally will hug and put her arms around your neck or waist when you sleep. Violet is crate trained; goes in her crate with no problem, and she’s totally content in there. She is also housetrained. She loves car rides too!Violet is really just an all around happy girl. Please consider giving this precious mama a safe and loving home.Name: VioletBreed: Catahoula Leopard Dog/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 2.5 years  (estimated)Weight: 60.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 12Good with Dogs: Selective, may do best as an only dog. Story
Beck is amazing with the kids and dog in his foster home. He's a very well behaved boy and does well  out in public, and even meeting dogs who are not well behaved. Beck loves to nap throughout the day and is calmer than your average puppy. He loves to cuddle!  He doesn’t like his kennel, and will cry and bark at first but he calms down and sleeps well. He was housebroken in his Texas foster home and is getting back into a routine now that he's in his New England foster home. His foster family adores him and says he is an angel!  Beck was fostered with cats in Texas and did well with them.     (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you). To adopt or learn more about: you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, visit our website: WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM ** PLEASE READ: If a dog/puppy is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. In some cases this dog may be pending an adoption already, and their profile has not been updated yet. Please note, SPR does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated otherwise. All breeds listed are educated best estimates by transferring shelter staff, our volunteers or our vets. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort. If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation. To learn more about our rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of FAQ’s on our website at WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM **The FIRST step in adopting an animal from our rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. ##1809970##

This dog is   NOT   offered for adoption by Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA). This dog is solely a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Adoption Donation: $550   Located:  MS    (Transportation costs included, please ask for more details )  Age:  3 Weight: 45   Bella is a sweet and gentle and  mellow dog who is loving her new life after being rescued from living on the streets. Bella was discovered living in a culvert  in a rural part of North Mississippi by a kindly couple who spotted her one day on their way to work and began stopping by every morning to leave her food. For two months, Bella stayed away, watching them  from a distance, until one day she came up to them, tail wagging.   Bella is  now living with the couple and their three small dogs, absolutely loving life as an indoor, cared for member of the family.     The couple report that she is gentle and sweet, she loves belly rubs and likes to lies at their feet. She is protective of her food which is understandable after starving for so long.   Bella is housetrained, she just goes right outside to do her business and  comes right back indoors.  Bella is a wonderful family dog, she is easy-going and calm. She will make a loyal and loving member of the family.        Please email if you are interested in adopting:  mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com   September 25, 2023, 2:10 pm
