Story
Hello World, my name is Odin. I just have to be the most exotic looking fellow you have ever seen. I am an incredibly loyal, loving fellow. I am incredibly smart, happy, and just want to be with my people. I am house trained, leash trained, dog social, people social, and children social. I am an incredibly thoughtful fellow. If you get off of the couch to get a snack, I will scoot over to your spot and keep it warm for you (I have been known to do this even in bed). My foster family has a fenced yard. That is a chain link and 4 ft tall. I am seen on a regular basis to go over the fence and hang out in the front yard or on the driveway. When I am ready or if they call me to come in, I go back over the fence. I never go anywhere. The other day, my foster family was going to the store and asked me if I wanted to go for a ride. I put myself back in the fenced in yard (We think he was afraid of being dumped again). My foster family has a cat and I like her as a buddy. I would be good as an only dog or have a companion. I came from a local shelter 6 months ago. The shelter was severely overcrowded and was going to have to start putting animals down. I am such a good boy, the animal control officer could not do it. He contacted my foster mom and asked if she could help. I am ready to travel to my furever home. It would be great for my family who is active and likes to hike, camp, go to the beach or just hang out around the house. I am versatile and just want to make you as happy as I am. I would be a good boy if you worked someplace I can come with you. Please fill out an application and begin my journey home to you. Odin Male Neutered Breed Catahoula Mix Color Brindle and white Age 18 months old (As of 03/13/2024) Weight 47 lbs Great with people, children, dogs/puppies, and cats/kittens

Story
Hammond aka Archie is a 2.5 year catahoula leopard mix with lots of puppy energy left in him. He absolutely loves walks and running zoomies around a fenced in backyard. He loves to play fetch with a ball outside or tug of war with his toys inside. He will bring toys to you to let you know he wants some attention. He loves other dogs. Is always happiest at the dog park. With cats, he isn’t great. He has a bit of a chase drive with them. He is completely house trained and crate trained (loves his crate actually). He still needs some more work with other house etiquette (likes his bed but prefers the couch). Hammond aka Archie is such a good boy. A fun dog who loves kids, loves his people. He is up for a car ride adventure, a hike in the woods, some peanut butter on a spoon and a cuddle on the couch. He is located in Framingham, MA and he is looking for a foster home, or even better would be a forever home. Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting Bernie. Bernie lives in an Alabama Foster Home, and will transport to New England when she is adopted. Approved adopters can FaceTime with their puppy, speak to the foster family, request, more videos, or pictures. Bernie is nine weeks old, she weighs about 10 pounds and we expect her to grow to a 50 pound dog. Her mother is a beautiful brown with yellow brindle Catahoula type mixed breed. Her litter probably has breeds and their DNA. The litter and puppies also have the webbed feet of a lab. They have the double coat of an Aussie, maybe they’re Aussie and not Catahoula. We wouldn’t know without a DNA test and with a test, the dominant breed, may be a low percentage. Bernie is a laid-back puppy. Her mom is a very sweet and docile dog and her energy has definitely transferred to her babies. Bernie is not house trained because of her young age, however, we do start crate training before they go to their homes and we send our crate training sheet with every puppy. The same method that works for every Dog in Rescue. Her adoption includes Spay, rabies, multiple puppy, vaccines, multiple deworming, negative, fecal, microchip, and she receives parasite prevention. Adoption includes transportation to New England, and a health certificate and exam from a licensed veterinarian before your puppy leaves us. The transportation requirements do come with a fee. We do not own the service. $175 to the Transporter $65 to the vet for the health certificate $345 adoption = $585 total adoption fee We have been sending dogs to New England homes for over 15 years Serious Adopters should fill out the application online and we will be in touch with you ASAP. To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application        HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see        HERE Age: ~ 5 years (as of 1/14/24) Weight: 66 lbs (as of 1/14/24) Location: RI Phoenix is available for adoption to Massachusetts residents, as well as those in the other New England states.    This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Phoenix, an adult dog with a heart as big as his personality. This sweet, friendly, and happy goofball is known for his gentle nature and smart antics that never fail to bring a smile. He's a big ole Teddy Bear, full of love and affection for people. Boy does he love people!!   Phoenix is house trained, crate trained, and walks great on the leash but can pull.  He rides great in the car and enjoys it, as well as meeting new people and going new places.   He'd love to go everywhere with you.   Phoenix is playful and enjoys recall games, making him a fun companion. He is dog selective, which means he doesn't enjoy interacting with every dog he meets, so he be easiest placed as the only dog in a home.   Phoenix's intelligence, combined with his loving and playful nature, makes him an ideal friend for us humans.  A fenced yard would be ideal so he could run and play safely, but if that's not available he will enjoy occasional leash walks and opportunities for off-leash play in a fenced area. He is a smart boy and basic group training classes is recommended to help him learn new commands, socialize with other humans and dogs, as well as build that fur-ever bond with you! If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and entertaining companion, Phoenix is your perfect match. Adopt Phoenix and let his sweet, playful spirit bring joy into your life. Phoenix’s Story: His previous owner lived in car with him and was in and out of relatives' homes and her car for 3 years. When she went to jail, he was surrendered and has been waiting ever since! He is now living with a loving foster and doing great! Medical Note: Phoenix deve loped a mass on his chest around the site of a wound received from another dog in November 2023. The mass was surgically removed on 2/1/24. A biopsy confirmed most likely benign panniculitis resulting from an infection at the wound site. Surgery should be curative. The dog continues to heal from the surgery and no further medical treatment is recommended except for continued monitoring of the surgical site through March/April until fully healed.  An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see      HERE      for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:    www.sosarl.org/aa/ *  *Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor. April 27, 2024, 11:08 pm

Story
To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application        HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see        HERE Age: 7 months (as of 4/19/24) Weight: 27 pounds (4/20/24) Location: RI    This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Best Affirmation is a HANDSOME and intelligent mixed breed puppy with awesome floppy ears! He and his four littermates (who are also available for adoption) look to be a combination of German Shepherd and Catahoula Leopard Dog.  Best is a friendly and sometimes shy puppy. We think he would do best in a household with only a few individuals and older children. He would love a dog sibling to hang with! He can be nervous around young kids.  He gets along with other dogs and people; the introductions just need to be made at his pace. He is currently living with other dogs of a variety of size and age and is doing very well. He needs an adopter who is committed to keeping his world small until he starts to settle in.  At the beginning an adopter should plan to leave him at home rather than taking him to parties, soccer games, dog parks, etc, and focus on building a bond in calmer environments. Best has been quiet and clean in his crate or kennel for up to eight hours, and he is making good progress with his house and leash training.   We strongly recommend that all of our dogs, especially puppies, attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it can build confidence and socialization for the dog. It's also fun! It often takes a lot of time, energy, and patience to bring up a puppy--and it's absolutely worth it. Best is a sweet and happy boy who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make his dream come true? Fill out an application today and let him know that you'd love to have him join your family! Medical Note: Best is a parvo survivor, and he is still gaining weight. His last symptoms were on 12/6/2023, and we are so happy that he is okay now and ready to be adopted! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see      HERE      for more information about this.
