Story
Introducing Hondo, the loyal and brave companion you've been waiting for! Hondo is a true good boy, showcasing his friendly nature with both people and fellow furry friends. He strikes the perfect balance between confident and respectful, making him a wonderful addition to any household dynamic. While Hondo may be a bit head shy when it comes to leashes, it's a trait rooted in his past experiences - his ears once caused him discomfort. But with patience and understanding, he's slowly overcoming this challenge. This resilience highlights his adaptable nature and willingness to grow. Crate training is a breeze for Hondo, reflecting his cooperative spirit. He's well-versed in the art of sitting and enjoys eating a peaceful meal. These traits make him a joy to train and a promising companion for both new and experienced pet owners. Hondo's ideal home is one that's lively and active, as he thrives in an environment where he can stretch his legs and engage in the joyful act of running. With a strong recall foundation already in place, he's open to further fine-tuning this skill. This warrior-dog's name is music to his ears, and he responds to it with enthusiasm. Though his recall could use a bit more polish, his eagerness to learn shines through. Hondo's adaptable and resourceful nature, coupled with his receptive attitude, make him a loyal partner for all your adventures. If you're seeking a four-legged friend who embodies both resilience and companionship, look no further than Hondo. He's ready to stand by your side and show you the depths of his affectionate heart. Don't hesitate to welcome this valiant spirit into your home! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

"Get your motor runnin'! Head out on the highway! Looking for adventure and whatever comes our way!!!" That is one pawsome song right? My name is Wanda! I am 2 year old Catahoula mix :) looking for an ACTIVE family! They say I'm a very smart cookie, that sounds amazing!!! Who doesn't like cookies?! I know sit, fetch and learning to drop it. I have doggie friends and I've met the kitties and they are ok too! I am still a little nervous with new people and sometimes like to bork at them so they know I'm there. Foster mom is teaching me so many cool things all the time. I am crate trained and I LOOOVE belly rubs! I would do great with an active family that likes to go on hikes, adventures and give me lots of chewy toys and stimulate my growing mind! If you like to have a good time like me, have your people get with my people and let's get this pawty started!!! Local (Texas) adoption fee is $200 Out of state (Transport) adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

We are ready for adoption now and hope you will consider one of us please :) OOHHH PICK ME!!! PICK ME!!! I am a smart girl, obviously, and will be ready to hang with you and the family! We are the ARMY puppies :) Or maybe the MARINE puppies :) Definitely NOT the NAVY puppies, no such thing as MAJOR in the Navy!! So now that we have established our branch, we need to also establish that we are the OFFICERS of the group :) Lieutenant may not be the most EXPERIENCED but she still likes to be in charge, lol. Major is DEFINITELY more experienced at being a puppy and likes to let LT boss her around (a little). So we are the puppies who know what we want and we will let YOU know too! We are Catahoula mixed pups, so we are smart and active and like to have a job. We are easily trained and would love someone to stimulate our minds. So you know about us, and now you need to make that decision!! Do you want to adopt one of us or not? Don't say NO, do say YES and we will get along just fine! We would love to have a playmate in our new homes too, kids or other dog would fit the bill! Please adopt, don't SHOP!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
I have had so many chances in my young life. Seriously...I was found with four siblings at about 2.5 weeks old, dumped in a box at the post office... we were so, so sick and close to death. My rescue mom really worked hard to get us healthy and LIVE. And we did! About 6 weeks later, we all got parvo..... and my rescuer was able to nurse all of us out of it! All my siblings have been adopted, and I am ready too! I am somewhat shy and will take time to settle into my new family. But I will adjust. I am best with another dog, calm and confident, because I will mirror that energy. As a gorgeous catahoula/whippet mix, I have plenty of energy and I love to play! Fetch and chase games are my favorite . I am adoptable in Texas, I need to meet my family and you need to meet me! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX)

Story
Meet Geo! This boy has two speeds... sleep and GO GO GO :) He is an energetic pup and he is a puppy and would be a great great family dog with several kids who will play with him for hours... and hours... and he will wear THEM out too :) Kids need to be older just because he is a BIG boy and plays HARD. Geo has to tell you a couple of things too.... "If you look at the picture of me walking MYSELF on the leash, you will see that I come pre-loaded and ready to hike it all over the place with you :) So, I am a BIG BIG puppy. The rescuers are sure I am a Catahoula mixes with Hound- If you look at my gorgeous markings and the sheer size of my HEAD you will see a truly GORGEOUS boy. And I am like a big teenager, kind of goofy, kind of awkward and kind of cute- with more FEET than head... I am learning all my "good boy" tricks too... SiT, COME and WAIT. I am pretty potty trained, except when I get distracted.... which happens with ADHD puppies. SNIFFING and FETCH are my FUN games. I can't WAIT until you adopt me, so HURRY!!! Oops... hurry and do what?? ADOPT ME!!!" Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
We would like to introduce a very special rescue dog to all of you and her name is Pretty Pearl.  Her foster mom says that she has been through fire and back and now she has the character of beautiful PEARL, like in an oyster.  She has  been formed by adversity and yet her spirit is pure sweetness and love.  She has the markings and coloring of a Catahoula mixed with maybe a little Beagle which is what makes her all the more loving and easy going.  At about 5-6 years old and just a perfect medium size at just 40 pounds, she is the perfect companion to someone who lives in a smaller environment like an apartment or a townhouse. She truly has an endearing calmness and mellow approach to life and all the people around her notices this unique quality immediately.  Nothing ruffles her feathers at all.  I take it all in stride and just smooth the edges if needed and keep on going.  This girl is the perfect companion to someone that is in an apartment environment or a townhouse.  She is small, a couch potatoe that will most certainly be an outstanding companion during the winter months when life seems to slow down and cozy companionship is most desired and welcomed.  She was found living outside in horrible conditions and was full of ticks and fleas and very skinny.  Well soon she was introduced to the luxury of an inside lifestyle at her foster home and she has NEVER looked back.  She goes outside to do her potty breaks and rushes right back inside to keep her human fosters company.  Now, if you are outside with her then all is grand.  She is a skilled girl on a leash and if you want a hiking or walking buddy then Pearl is ready to go!   She has had NO accidents in the house since coming to the foster home.  Amazing statistics for a dog that lived outside all her life.  Maybe she truly just feels like being called “Queen” Pearl now.  She sure is being treated like a queen and she wants to stay in that kind of lifestyle.  We think Pretty Pearl will be a wonderful well-kept secret for someone looking for the best companion ever in the world. Pretty Pearl will be the best dog you have ever owned in your life. Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com You won’t regret adopting this girl. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Paul: 75 lb Treeing Walker Coonhound boy, neutered, HW negative, UTD on all shots and preventions. House trained, crate trained. Paul is your quintessential coonhound pal, who is one big dopey baby- Saved from a high kill rural Virginia shelter literally JUST in time, he is enjoying life on a couch in his foster home, sharing the house with a one year old human and his parents. He gets along great with the other dogs in the home. Paul loves cuddling with his family in the bed, and definitely has a sense of humor! He likes toys and playtime in the yard. He is obsessed with dog TV shows and couch lounging. He particularly enjoys watching dog shows and football. Paul is house trained, neutered, and up to date on all shots and preventions. Email Jennyfiddle@yahoo.com and tell us a bit about your household, hound and dog experience, and how you will accommodate Paul into your home. Story
Goofy Gus was hanging out in a shelter just north of Nashville, where his chances were looking a bit slim. He is now fully embracing cozy house life at his foster's house in Nashville, where he gets to sing along with all the other musicians in town. He is a big Cadillac of a coonhound, weighting in around 70 lbs.. A large, dopey, goofy boy, he has the BEST puppy dog sad eyes and face, but he quickly waggles his whole body and gives his humans grunts, smiles, and kisses. He is literally the cuddliest coonhound we have ever been around.... He walks GREAT on a leash and would love to explore both city and woods on leash with you. Gus also loves to lay around in the sun and shade, but would love an active family who has a large 6 ft fenced in yard. Please email jennyfiddle@yahoo.com and introduce yourself- please tell us about your household and how you plan to accommodate Gus into your household. We will forward you an application link.
