Molly is a 4.5-year-old, 20 pound Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is just beginning to discover what it truly means to be a dog. Molly spent her early life as a puppy mill momma, but she is ready and willing to experience the love, safety and comfort from you that she is experiencing for the first time from her foster family. Love is making Molly blossom into more and more a sweetheart every day. Molly has has a soft, loving nature and a heart ready to bond with her forever family. Molly gets along beautifully with her foster mom's cat and dog. Molly is learning to walk with the leash and she is making steady progress. Molly will need a little patience as she continues building confidence, but she is eager and happy to learn. What makes Molly truly special is watching her “ learn to be a dog”. Every small milestone is a victory and Molly will develop a loyal bond with the person who helps her continue this journey. If you are looking for a quiet, devoted companion with the sweetest eyes and heart full of love, Molly is ready to start her next chapter with you. Molly is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. Meet Chummy! Chummy is an almost 6-year-old female Cavalier Spaniel who weighs 28 pounds. She is a puppy mill survivor and filled with nothing but love and affection despite her traumatic start to life. She is more than ready to leave her past behind her and enjoy her new life & family! Chummy is loving, sweet & silly! She is fostered with another dog and a cat - and does great with them both! She is still working on her potty training and will need time to adjust to a new routine. She enjoys exploring and running around in a fenced-in backyard. Chummy is low energy and content to spend her day relaxing around the house. She is still working on her leash training and will need some time to get used to going on walks. She prefers to follow her foster parents from room to room around the house and snuggle close to them on the couch. She also enjoys napping in a cozy dog bed and carrying stuffed animals (or shoes!) to her bed. Chummy has not yet met a stranger she hasn’t immediately loved and greets everyone with a hug! Chummy came into rescue overweight and will need an adopter dedicated to continue her weight loss journey. Chummy is ready to share her big heart with her forever family! Story
Chestnut is a 12+ year old male cocker spaniel whose life story could have made him bitter… but instead, it made him even sweeter.   This gentle senior was once someone’s devoted companion, the kind of dog who quietly follows you from room to room just to be near. Tragically, he was found abandoned on a busy road with a painful, eye injury, and struck by a car. Despite everything he has endured, Chestnut greets the world with softness, trust, and a tail that still wants to wag.   His damaged eye has been removed, and he’s recovering beautifully after hip surgery. When he was found, his coat was painfully matted to the skin and he had to be shaved down. The good news? His soft, beautiful fur will grow back, and each day he grows stronger and more comfortable.   What hasn’t changed is his spirit.   Chestnut is calm, affectionate, and very gentle. He loves cozy dog beds, soft voices, and simply being near his humans. He’s past the hustle and bustle of youth and is ready for the quiet joys of senior life: sunny naps, slow strolls, and resting his head on a loving lap. He doesn’t ask for much - just safety, patience, and a loving home where he can finally exhale.   Chestnut is good with other quiet dogs that allow him space as he prefers to keep to himself. He is good with cats. Due to his age and injury a home without young children is preferred. Chestnut is crate/pen trained and keeps it clean. When his beautiful coat grows in he will require regular professional grooming to keep him free of matting and his paws from slipping on the floor.    If you are ready to give a deserving old soul the comfort he’s always given to others, Chestnut is waiting to glow quietly beside you for the rest of his golden years. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH.
