Story
Meet Raven!
Raven is a 5-year-old, 23-lb tri-color Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is an affectionate sweetheart that lives for love and human connection. As a resilient puppy mill survivor, she is blossoming in foster care, showing an extra dash of enthusiasm whenever there are head scratches, gentle strokes, and pets to be had. She recently underwent a spay along with the removal of an ear mass on the side of her head; she recovered like an absolute champion and never once complained through the entire healing process!
Her superpowers include having an adventurous curiosity when investigating new spaces, being deeply treat-motivated, and serving as the ultimate evening lap warmer. Raven loves to wander and explore during the day, but is always ready to curl up right across your lap. She gets along well with other dogs, is eager to please, and stays successful with house training when kept on a predictable routine.
Some of her favorite things are peanut butter, all kinds of tasty treats, cozy evening lap cuddles, sniffing out new corners on her daily explorations, and soft plush toys to keep nearby.
If you're looking for a sweet, resilient, and devoted companion who will eagerly seek out your touch throughout the day, happily work for treats, and anchor your evenings on the couch, Raven might be your perfect match.
Raven is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450.00.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
