Story
Between May 1st and 15th, part of my adoption fee is sponsored! Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters campaign, my new family can take me home for $50!
Introducing Blanca!
Blanca is a charming 8-month-old, 13lb double-merle Cavapoo puppy who is sure to capture your heart! Despite being deaf with approximately 80% vision impairment, Blanca is a typical, energetic puppy. She has quite the personality and is as sweet as they come.
Rescued from a puppy mill, Blanca has quickly adjusted to her foster home and blossomed into a playful, outgoing girl. She is fostered with dogs of various sizes and ages, learning the ins and outs of dog life from her foster siblings.
Blanca is blissfully unaware of her differences, evident in her playfulness. She enjoys exploring the yard, playing with tiny tennis balls, and the occasional bone chewing. Blanca is not afraid to express herself vocally when she wants something-especially when she wants out of her puppy pen for playtime or a potty break. While she's still working on her potty-training skills, she does not potty in her puppy pen and sleeps through the night. Blanca very much enjoys the company of other dogs as much as being with humans. She is a big love to any human she meets and will cuddle endlessly.
Given that Blanca is a special girl, she requires a special home that can accommodate her disabilities. Prior experience with hearing and/or vision impaired dogs is a plus. A physically fenced yard is essential, and she would thrive alongside a confident dog of similar size and energy to serve as her companion and guide.
Currently in foster care in the Cincinnati area, Blanca's adoption fee is $300.00.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
