Story
Roux is a great little dog, she loves dogs, kids and people. Very friendly and loves to play outside in the yard. She is very smart will play frisbee and ball and bring it back over and over. Love to go in her dog pool and loves to chase water from the hose. She will follow you around the house to make sure what you are doing and then just hang out by you. Very sweet, if you do not groom her for a few months her hair get real long soft and puffy. When groomed she becomes half her size again.

This little cutie is Penny. Penny is a petite, young lady in need of a home. Penny may be little, but don't let her size fool you. She is sassy and knows what she wants. She loves to snuggle and be petted by the people she loves most. It takes time to earn Penny's love. Penny has complex medical needs that will require ongoing veterinary care, and is looking for a home who could provide that for her. Penny has been able to make friends with other small dogs and gentle cats at the shelter who do not jump on her. Once Penny is comfortable, she is a great, tuned in buddy who will cuddle in your lap, play gentle tug with her favorite duck toys and enjoys going on walks. She is looking for a home with out children, and patient enough to give this great girl some time to trust. Meet Oliver! Oliver is COMING SOON! Foster Needed! Oliver should be ready early to mid-June. You can put in your applications now to get pre-approved and find out more about him from his foster. Olive has long long legs and teensy tiny footsie! He has the body of a mini poodle and the coat of a Shih Tzu. He loves to snuggle and be in your lap and sleep in your bed. Oliver wants his human all to himself though, so if you want him to sleep in your bed, you will have to be perpetually single! Orrrr, work with a positive trainer to work on his resource guarding. Speaking of resource guarding, leave him be when he is eating. Simple. No other dogs in the home to help Oliver feel safest. Oliver has fractured his teeth on his crate and becomes quite the cranky grumble but behind baby gates when other dogs are around. No crates for this guy but no worries about potty in the house as he is fully trained! Olive is scheduled for dental work which is why is not yet available. Oliver loves to sniff things outside and would love daily walks of any length to be able to stop and smell the roses all along his route. A harness is best as he hasn't received many walks and will need to keep working on not pulling. When he is out and about in the yard Oliver comes when called lickety splits! A silly thing about Oliver? Well, he sounds like he might eat you up for his next meal when he plays with you! He's just playing though. As his new parent, you should take the time to allow Oliver to decompress by himself for a few days as mentioned in the 3/3/3 rule of adoptions. And, you will eventually understand what all the grumps and grumbles of his sound like and which ones mean what. Oliver's ideal home would be a single adult or a couple who will use positive training to remove the guarding of his chosen person or to sleep in a dog bed entirely.
