Different policies and fees may apply. MEET KODA #2!! He is a sweet, loving boy who is shy at first. He loves to play fetch and go for walks and hikes.  He is scared of loud noises and the wind. On a windy day, he snuggles up under my desk and sleeps on his human's feet. His favorite spot to lay during the day, besides in the grass, is in the sun by the window. Koda has graduated from a certified obedience training class, and he loves to learn and please (and receive treats!). He is able to sit, stay, wait (for food, treats, or us), lay down, leave it (with food, sticks, other little toys, etc..), and walks well on the leash. He tends to pull a little in the beginning, and as he gets in sync with the stride, he does a great job. He also LOVES to go for car rides, even if it is just a short trip. We have taken him hiking as well, and he does great. Though he is part lab, he is not a fan of the water, though! He has needed some assistance across streams! He waits on his mat until we tell him, "Okay," when he is fed. He goes over there as soon as we pick up his food dish. After a walk, he just flops down on the cool tile. He has a distinct SIGH noise he makes as he is totally at peace and resting. He is always up for a good tummy rub! Koda has been on a Wellness plan through Banfield Pet Hospital. He is up to date with all of his shots, wellness check-ups, and heartworm medication. He has continually had his teeth cleaned, and he has been microchipped. Koda is a reactive dog due to his anxiety, and he SHOULD NOT be with cats or children. As mentioned before, he is trainable and loves to please. We have successfully introduced him to other dogs, though he should be supervised with them. Dog door trained, Leash trained, Crate trained, Does well in a car, Likes to fetch, Likes toys, Protective/territorial, Playful, Timid/shy, Skittish, Independent/aloof, Affectionate, Eager to please, Goofy  If you are interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website for our online application www.underdogaz.com PLEASE NOTE: This dog is courtesy posted for another individual or Rescue. Story
MEET  BIRCH!!! Birch is the SWEETEST, most easy going 2 year-old Lab/Pointer mix! He is timid and shy when meeting new people, but once he warms up, he shows his sweet and wiggly side. He'll need a bit of patience and a few days in a new home before he will start exploring and feeling comfortable. Birch seems to warm up to women a bit faster then men. Birch is a great leash walker! He would love to have daily walks or hikes! He makes an amazing hiking partner.  Birch is housebroken, kennel trained AND doggy door trained!  He is very smart and learns new things quickly. He already knows SIT and STAY. He is food motivated so he's easy to teach new tricks. Birch enjoys his toys, but is not possessive at all. He enjoys a good nylabone or a stuffie to toss around. Birch is great with kids (his foster home has a 7 yr old) and he is GREAT with other dogs. Smaller kids who run and yell a good deal would be scary, so older (over 5) would probably be best. Birch does need to be adopted into a home with another pup, so that he has a buddy to keep him company... preferably one who has happy-go-lucky playful energy to encourage him to show his playful nature. He also does well with Chickens and Cats! Birch is a great lounge dog, and does enjoy being comfy on the couch. He is not allowed on the bed in his foster's home, but we are sure he would love to be a bed dog too!   CHECK OUT BIRCH'S VIDEOS!!  If you are interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website for our online application www.underdogaz.com   July 26, 2024, 6:02 am

Different policies and fees may apply. MEET LAILA #2!! Laila is a pretty great dog. She loves to play, loves her toys, likes to go for walks, hikes and play fetch. She is active. However, she also loves cuddles, her people and belly rubs. Laila has had obedience training using hand and verbal cues. Laila is sweet and eager to please.  Laila is looking for a new home at no fault of her own. She is loved greatly, but her current owner has some significant health issues and cannot care for her anymore. She gets along with cats and other dogs. However, she has never been around small children, so an adult home may be best. She also wants her own space when being fed. She just needs her own space with her own bowl away for any other dog while eating. She gets along well at dog parks and is typically submissive to new pets she does not know. If you are active and would like an easy dog to add to your family, then meet Laila today! She is a wonderful dog.
