Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. Cooper is a 6 year old pure bred, AKC Yellow Labrador Retriever. Cooper joined our program after being found by family members in a home with his owner who had sadly passed away. Cooper is an active boy and will play ball all day long if given the chance. He loves other dogs and is friendly with humans of all ages. Cooper does have thunder storm anxiety so we are looking to place him in a home in the PNW where crazy crashing thunder storms aren't as much the norm as in S.E. Texas.

Cash is a handsome 1 year old yellow boy that was owner surrendered to our program when his family lost their home and were not able to properly care for him anymore. Cash loves to play with other dogs and is friendly with people, he has a very fun loving silly lab personality BUT can be fearful in certain situations. Not know his past, we do not know if he was abused but it does appear that this was undoubtedly the case.
