Cobra is a very energetic loving boy! Gets a long very well with all dogs so far in contact with! Very curious! Sadly... Does not like cats! So please proceed with that caution. Other than that only other recommendation would be to have a place to go that is fenced in completely. He is a definite explorer!

Story
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks! --- Meet Chibimaru. She and her sisters were surrendered to us as part of our Last Litter program, spaying and returning mom to the family. According to the owners, daddy is a Labrador / Shepherd and mommy is some kind of Labrador mix. She's a pretty chunky girl - and at 3 months of age is about 24 pounds. It's likely she will be 60+ pounds when fully grown. Chibimaru is currently in a foster home learning all things puppy... crate training, leash walking and more. She's super sweet and loves the resident dog. We think she would love another friendly pup in the house to play with and get settled. When this puppy goes home, she will be spayed, microchipped and vaccinated to appropriate age when they go home. She will need more puppy shots at 16 weeks including her final DHPP / Rabies / Bordetella. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot! The 3-3-3 rule is a guideline for transitioning a rescue dog into its new home and helping it to settle in. It suggests that the first three days should be used for adjusting to its new surroundings, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization and training. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Adoptions typically take place in Stanwood. We don’t hold puppies, adoption applications may be approved in just a few days depending on how quickly references respond. If you are planning on a vacation or have an issue that may delay your ability to pick up your puppy within a few days of approval, please let us know in advance. Adoption fee is $525. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible. Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home. Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Lyvia, the lovable Labrador mix puppy with a heart as big as her playful spirit! Born around January 25, 2024, her warm eyes and wagging tail, Lyvia is sure to capture your heart from the moment you meet her. Lyvia's journey to finding her forever home has been nothing short of extraordinary. Alongside her six siblings, she was pulled from her momma by Leon Valley Animal Control. These  officers intervened when they discovered Lyvia and her littermates confined in distressing conditions.   The puppies were all left to endure the sweltering heat in a dry fountain without relief, food or water.   Thanks to the swift action of a good Samaritan who alerted local rescues, Lyvia and her siblings were rescued from their ordeal and given a second chance at life. Despite the hardships she's faced, Lyvia's resilient spirit remains unbroken, and her capacity for love knows no bounds. Lyvia is always watching what is going on.  She takes a few minutes to warm up to new people. Whether she's romping around in the yard or cuddled up for a nap, she's always eager for playtime and affection. If you're ready to make Lyvia a part of your family, you can apply for her adoption at www.adoggie4you.org. Her adoption fee of $300.  She is fully vetted, to include a ProHeart 6 providing heartworm protection until 01/06/2024.   Don't miss your chance to welcome Lyvia into your life and be a part of her incredible journey. With your love and support, she's sure to thrive and bring endless joy to your home. Apply to adopt Lyvia today and make her dreams of a forever family come true! This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
What girl doesn't LOVE songs and DANCING? Because she falls in Love Too Easily! Her name is Chetty and she's a jazzy lovebug! She's a female, Labrador Retriever/Pitbull Terrier mix looking for a special family to hold onto me and never let go! Still learning the chords of what it means to be a good girl: such as being comfortable in a crate and walking confidently on the leash. But, she'll figure it out with more and more practice. Her foster family is teaching so much and giving so much love! So prepared for her to give that back to you! She's a super excitable, mid-to-high energy dog, and sometimes forget her size around people! When her humans come home from work she transform from dog to jackrabbit and will jump all over the place and all over them! Gets along great with kids but remind your little ones that sometimes she'll forget just how little they are! She's curious about cats and chase them sometimes, thus we think she would do best in a household with no cats or cats that can hold their own against dogs. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Look DEEP into my eyes :).I am such a sweet and gentle girl with a heart of gold and so much love to share! My life was ruff before I landed here at the rescue, I was at the pound with my puppies, all 8 of them!! I was really blessed that I got to stay with them and get pled to a rescue, most mamas and pups are separated because most rescues prefer pups over mamas ;( But not MY rescue, I am just as loved as my pups are and I don't have all the puppy antics to handle :) So here I am, looking marvelous and waiting for that family who wants a soft and sweet girl to grace their couch... I am waiting for you to choose me because FRANKLY I go along with any color couch!! Tan- yup, white- ok (who buys white couches??), black- absolutely, chocolate- perfect match and even red!! ADOPT ME NOW!!! Thank you :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
