Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am currently in a difficult situation and need to move back to India. My top priority is finding a good home for my dog, Luchi. We have had her for 4 years. She is an absolute sweetheart and brings us tremendous amount of joy! Luchi is well-mannered, fully house-trained, and does not destroy things around the house, though she does occasionally steal socks to trade for a treat as fun! She enjoys walks, car rides, being active, and playing fetch with a frisbee, but she is also content just finding a spot nearby to sleep. Looking for a home that will take care of her and treat her kindly. She will make your home bright!
