Story
🐾Super sweet Helen wants a home to call her own🐾 Helen is a 1.5 year-old, 13 lb Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. She is easy going, gentle, social, aims to please and is as sweet as they come. She's active when it's play or walk time but also likes being a couch potato. Cuddling on your lap is one of her favorite things to do. She's crate and potty trained, does well in the car and on leash and loves other dogs. She is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on all shots and isn't picky about food so she's very easy to feed. This is a courtesy post for K9 Connection Pet Rehoming And Adoption Inc. They are a 501c3 rescue so an adoption fee will apply. You can also contact Jeanne Patten who is her foster mom at (760) 420-4100. Story
We have a 4 pound, senior 17 year old male Chihuahua named Skillet. As a senior dog, he is blind but otherwise healthy. We take him out once in the morning, mid day and then before bed. He will go in between those times on his potty pad. For the most part, he’s pretty chill. He is popular at our local veterinary. He’s a good small dog, doesn't really require a lot of playtime due to his age. He does like being held and pet. Overall, he is a sweet boy. Sadly our family is relocating and we are not in the position to bring him to our new home. We will definitely miss him and hoping to find him a loving home.

Story
Meet Reba! She is about 1 years old and 11 lbs. She can be a little shy at first but is very sweet once she warms up. She gets along with other small dogs but does like to eat by herself to be sure her foster dog sister and brother don’t take her food. She walks well on a leash and has done well with her potty training and will also stay in her crate when needed. She would do best in a house with a yard she can run around in. She is a young dog and is very energetic so she would do great in an active home. She likes her dog bed but also likes to sleep with her foster mom. If you think Reba would make a great addition to your family then please fill out an application!

Story
Marcus is an adorable puppy with a heart shaped nose and freckled body. He is energetic, loves to play and loves to eat. Other things Marcus loves: - Loves Stuff Toys (he will throw them up in the air and try and catch it), especially LOVES balls. He will play fetch or by himself chasing the ball. - Loves to be cuddled. He likes to sleep next to us in bed and hang on the couch right next to us. - He doesn't mind being picked up and kissed and loves being praised - He rides nicely in the car - He loves to play wrestle with our senior dog - He's curious about our cats, but keeps a respectful distance. I would say he is cat friendly and would do well with other pets once he's introduced and given a day or so to get to know his fur-siblings better. He is finally housebroken!! It’s been about 2 weeks since his last accident. He understands a routine and does well with potty breaks in a routine. He has gone potty on walks only on a couple occasions, so that is still a work in progress. - He's crate trained. He had two accidents when we first had him crated, and since then, he's done well being in his crate. - He sleeps through the night (on our bed) and likes to lay next to his humans, usually always touching one of us at all times. - He is a wonderful guard dog and has acute hearing capabilities. He will surely let you know if someone is lingering outside your home. - He knows how to use the Doggy Door and now uses it on his own when he needs to go potty outside. - He's walking better on a leash; and can still be a little nervous at first if there is some crowded areas on a walk, so having a good harness is a must. Marcus would do well in a home with older respectful children or just adults. He can also adjust to a family with pets, after proper introduction. He's a spunky little guy, full of life, and loving and sweet.

Story
Birdie is an adorable, loving chihuahua mix. She is believed to be about 6 months and 6lbs. Birdie quickly bonds with humans, (adults and kids)  and loves to be at their side throughout daily activities. She is almost fully potty trained.   Birdie enjoys snuggling with her people and is playful like a typical puppy. She enjoys being outside and loves playing with toys and chewing on them. Birdie loves to chase her toys. She is learning social behavior when she sees other dogs out on walks and needs more practice with appropriately reacting to dogs. After she warms up with dogs she behaves appropriately but it takes her some time. Since she is still a puppy she would be best with an active household and to be the only dog where she can get lots of attention and training to continue growing into a perfect dog!

This adorable little fella is Little Mikey. He would do well in any sized home. Now, all he needs is a loving family. This beautiful dog is located in the Moreno Valley shelter. Please feel free to reach out to us with questions. Thank you! LITTLE MIKE #A534975 I am described as a male, brown Chihuahua - Smooth Coated. The shelter thinks I am about 4 years old. I weigh approximately 15.40 lbs. STAFF NOTES: Dog is really shy. Dog is becoming more comfortable with the shelter staff, but is still too nervous to let you pick him up or exit the kennel. He will let you pet him but he will flinch and be stiff when you do. When you stop, he jumps all around the kennel in a playful way. He is a sweet boy but is still too nervous. Pet met with potential adopters in kennel. He was really nervous avoiding them and trying not to make contact with them. He did sniff them a bit but was still very hesitant. Visited with pup today and offered a treat. Pup was interested, came up to the door slowly, took treat gently and seemed to want to be friends but was a little scared. Nice pup though. Story
Hi! My name is Armando but my friends call me Mondo. One of my favorite things to do if you have carpet is roll around on my back first thing in the morning when I wake up. It feels so good! And then I run back and forth to get the blood flowing so I am ready to go outside. It's like I just know that today, just like yesterday, is going to be a great day! I am a shy (at first) but loving little dog. I love to go on outings with my people and pup friends but I need a little time getting to know new people. My fun things to do are dancing in the morning down the hall to go outside and dancing at mealtime. Okay, I just love dancing! To some, I seem tough on the outside but I really am a teddy bear on the inside once you get to know me. I will admit, I do still have some trust issues so I will need you to take it slow with me, let me come to you, and have some tasty treats on hand and I will warm up fairly quickly. I will want to be where you are but it will be best to just let me tag along with you until we get to know each other better. Eventually, I will rub my head on your leg, sit next to you on the couch, and possibly even sleep on your lap while you watch TV. I was originally found as a stray when I was a pup. Scared I made poor choices so I went to a long-term foster home to learn how to deal with my emotions and to choose my reactions in a more mature fashion. They gave me the name Armando so it’s the only name I know. Now that I am better and more mature, oh and the pandemic is over, I am ready to find my forever home, could it be with you? Because of my size and personality, I will do best in a home with no children. I can live with another dog close to my size if they don’t mind me being a little bossy every once in a while. I prefer to have another pup around to show me the ropes and to learn from in terms of who to trust. I won’t feel targeted if there is more than one of us. As I shared before, I adore snuggling but I don’t share my cuddles with just anyone, I prefer to get to know you a bit first. It takes me a little time to become comfortable with new people and places. I like to take my time approaching new situations and I need people to allow me to not be rushed. If allowed to go at my own pace I will warm up as I become more familiar with you, the environment, and the new routine. I have been attending adoption events and letting so many people give me treats and pet me, even some have been able to pick me up. Oh, and I am always up for going out on a walk too. While I am crate trained, I prefer to have it open as an option for a safe place rather than being locked in. Exercise keeps me happy and content and I am happy to wear my harness until we are totally comfortable with each other. This way you can easily clip the leash on so we can go on walks without either of us feeling uncomfortable. Eventually, we won’t need to be so cautious. I may surprise you as to how fast I feel at home with you! Trust me, once you get to know me you will just adore me and my cute playful ness! If you think we may be a good match, or you would like to get to know me better, please click the Adoption Application button below my bio on the rescue website, here is the link - https://www.smallbreedrescue.org/Home/AnimalDetails/9389 Due to home introductions that are part of the adoption process, we can only accept applications from interested parties who are in or near North County, San Diego, California at this time.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Kim (kim4stars@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet. Courtesy post for STARS (Second Time Around Rescue Service). Please be sure to contact Kim at kim4stars@yahoo.com for more information. Please do not contact Dogz In Need as we have limited information on sweet Jake. This is Jake! He is a very sweet boy who is in need of a home. Jake’s mom was rescued in 2019, then a week later she had 7 puppies. All of Jake’s siblings found homes except for poor Jake. All he wants to do is cuddle and give all his love and affection to you. He’s very good with women, but has a hard time trusting men. Although Jake has always been around other dogs and cats, he would be thrive in a single dog household where he gets all the attention. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Please contact Kim at kim4stars@yahoo.com to meet Jake!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 16, 2024, 9:53 pm
