Story
Peanut has a big dog personality and if he sees other dogs, he gets super excited, and the yipping sounds scary, but he just wants to play!! He's a nipper and he likes to jump on you out of excitement and although he LOVES kids, he should be in.a home with older kids Peanut is still young, and has plenty of energy to play and run.He has been known to be a runner- He will take off and think, it's a GAME and it will be hard to catch him, so careful at the doors nd fences ;) But smart sweet pup loves kisses and lay on your lap . He walks good on a leash i put 2 one on harness and collar since I don't want him to get loose. (harnesses are too easy to get out of, so a martingale collar is his best collar) He can upset a bigger or smaller dog if they don't have a tolerance for nippiness. In the face kinda of thing he loved to play and he runs super fast lol 😆 they would have to be extra careful that he never gets out of front.Door or takes off he laughing fast 😅 Poor little guy almost got run over on these big streets all alone, and we NEVER want that to happen to him again. So now you know more about the firecracker named Peanut. He is a doll!! ADOPT....DON'T SHOP!! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
These adorable Chihuahua/Cattle Dog mix puppies got a rough start after being found living under a house in a rural Texas town. Thankfully, those days are behind them, and now they're safe, healthy, and ready to find the loving families they deserve. Their mama weighs about 22 pounds, and while we don't know who dad was, we expect these pups to stay under 25 pounds when fully grown. These little ones are happy, playful, and full of personality! They love to romp around the yard, wrestle with their siblings, and soak up all the attention they can get. Whether they're exploring, playing with toys, or snuggling up after an adventure, they're always ready to bring smiles wherever they go. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion to share life's adventures with, one of these sweet puppies could be the perfect addition to your family! Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Hope — It’s Her Turn to Be Spoiled! Hope has spent her time taking care of everyone else, and now it’s finally her turn to be someone’s spoiled girl! This amazing little mama raised her own litter and then stepped up to help raise six more puppies from another litter. That’s 13 puppies total! Hope was a wonderful mom to every single one of them, but her mothering days are over. Now she’s ready to be the baby and get all the love and attention she deserves! Hope is a small girl weighing just 22 pounds, with the cutest little underbite that makes her even more adorable! She is very sweet, affectionate, and absolutely loves her people. She’s a bit clingy and would happily stay close by soaking up all the human affection she can get. She isn’t a high-energy girl, but she enjoys wandering around the yard while her people are outside and occasionally breaking into some adorable zoomies! She gets along great with other dogs and loves running in and out of the doggy door. She is housebroken with a doggy-door too! Hope’s one request? She really doesn’t like being kenneled and will let you know about it with some barking and crying. She much prefers being with her people where she can be part of the family. After raising 13 puppies, this sweet little mama deserves a home where she can finally relax, be spoiled, and get all the attention for herself! Hope is ready to trade motherhood for cuddles, companionship, and a forever family! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
*Meet Sassy* 🐾 Don't let the name fool you — okay, actually, DO let the name fool you, because Sassy earns every letter of it. This three-month-old spitfire is a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher mix with the heart of a lap dog and the confidence of a dog three times her size. Sassy is whip-smart (she's already figuring out the humans around her faster than they're figuring her out) and endlessly affectionate — she'll happily curl up in your lap one minute and zoom around the room the next like she's got somewhere very important to be. Spoiler: she doesn't. She just has a lot of opinions and a lot of energy. She's looking for a family who appreciates a dog with personality — someone who'll match her enthusiasm on walks, laugh at her antics, and give her plenty of love (which she will return tenfold). A little structure and consistent training will go a long way with this clever girl, but underneath the sass is a total sweetheart who just wants to be your shadow. *Sassy is ready to bring a little chaos and a lot of love into her forever home.* Local adoption fee is $400 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $750 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Martini, the perfect little gentleman for your family! Not only is he handsome and smart, he`s also potty trained and likes to snuggle. Martini came to the rescue as a stray, so his foster family doesn`t know much about him yet. He`s very loving, but right now he`s still insecure in new situations. He`ll need a patient home that can help him become more confident. Martini can walk on a leash and would make a great companion for someone who likes to go for short walks and spend time outside, but his activity level is moderate, so he`d be happy to spend time indoors cuddling on the couch, too. He is crate trained, keeps his things neat and clean and has had zero accidents in the house since coming to his foster home. He`s a very good boy!At this time Martini is a little too nervous for a home with kids under 12 or high energy dogs. If he feels threatened, he will react, but he`s made a lot of progress with staying calm in just a few days. For right now, he`s looking for a quiet home to build his confidence. He would do great with a home that has quiet dogs with adults or teens. Martini is ready for a new home where he can blossom into the amazing and confident dog he is meant to be!

Story
Guito is a sweet little guy whose world was turned upside down. After spending the last four years in a home, Guito recently found himself back at Boone Area Humane Society when his family made the difficult decision to return him. After losing his canine companion, Guito struggled with the change and began barking more than he had before. While we know this has been a confusing time for him, one thing is abundantly clear—this little dog has so much love left to give.Guito absolutely adores people. He is affectionate, gentle, and happiest when he's close to his humans. Like many small dogs, the shelter environment is overwhelming for him, and we'd love to see him back in the comfort of a home as soon as possible. When Guito arrived back at the shelter, his coat needed a little TLC. He had several mats that have since been carefully removed by our staff, and he's feeling much more comfortable. He's currently waiting for his rabies vaccine, but he's available through our foster-to-adopt program so he doesn't have to spend any more time in the shelter than necessary.Guito is looking for a family who understands that life can be full of changes and is willing to give him the patience, stability, and love he deserves. In return, he'll reward you with endless affection and loyal companionship. If you're ready to give this deserving little guy the happy ending he's been waiting for, Guito can't wait to meet you.
