Benson has decided all toys should be his and will snatch them all up for himself. If he’s not stealing toys, he is stealing hearts!🥰 Wanna know more? They currently weigh around 4 pounds, and DNA tells us they will be between 13-22 pounds once full grown. Wanna sniff, eh, meet them? ✨🤩 We have Pansy (F), Tulip (F), and Periwinkle (M). Each one of these little “flowers” is full of personality and spunk. They love playing with toys and climbing on their jungle gym. 🦴🤸 They will be ready to come home on September 10th. They will come to you spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Their adoption fees are $300. 🌸Poppy couldn’t be more perfectly named! Her name evokes the bright red poppy flower, which is a symbol of resilience, joy, and beauty. We can use all of those words to describe this darling gal. She is a 2-year-old Boston Terrier, Chihuahua, Cocker Spaniel, and Miniature Pinscher mix weighing 20 pounds. 🥰 Why is she resilient? Here’s a story for you. Poppy was dumped in various locations with 15 other dogs! You read that right. It was scorching hot, and some wonderful heroes rounded them up and got them to safety. However, little Poppy had something more pressing to get done. She was pregnant, and those babies were ready to come. She ran into someone’s house, jumped on their couch, and began delivering her babies! This little family was brought to our foster. Poppy raised 4 healthy babies. If that’s not resilience, we don’t know what is. 💪 Now that her babies are getting ready to head off on their own, it’s time for her to start thinking about HER future and look for her forever home. 🏠 Poppy’s foster tells us she has been a wonderful houseguest. She is housetrained and comes when called. She is wonderful with other dogs and great at reading their cues. Poppy has yet to be around cats, but with a low prey drive, we think she may do fine with a proper introduction. With new people, she takes time to warm up. Give her space and allow her to come to you, and you will have a buddy for life! 🐶 Exploring outside is one of her all-time favorite pastimes. She loves sniffing ALL the sniffs. Toys and bones keep her busy the rest of the day, well, when she isn’t taking a siesta. She is happy to sit on her human’s lap and lay her head on their shoulder while she gazes up at them lovingly. Lucille LaRue’s tail wags so quickly it’s almost too fast to see! 🚀 We couldn’t be happier that she’s wagging her tail so much, because she came to us from a hoarding situation, and she’s now experiencing the good life 🍽️🥂. She is incredibly resilient and is such a happy little girl! 😄 Lucille’s favorite thing in the world to do is roll around getting her back scratches on grass, carpet or basically any surface. 🤣😆 She takes such pleasure in exploring the yard and sunbathing 🌞 – she’ll be your reminder to touch grass 🌱🌳. She even wants to go outside when it is 😎 super-hot. She likes to play with stuffies with squeakers, and she does pretty well on the leash if you want to take a walk. Lucille is loving and eager to please. She does well with kids, though she might be timid at first with new people. But just for a little bit. 😻 She gets along fine with other dogs. We don’t know about cats. She prefers to have human or canine company, since she was never really alone in her previous home. At night, she sleeps in bed with her foster people 😴. If you have a fenced yard, you’ll need to be diligent about checking for little places that Lucille could get through. She should always be on a leash if she’s not in a fenced space, because she might be a flight risk. 🐈 Cat-friendly 🐈 After years of hard work (doing, you know… all the things adorable little dogs do), Ralphie is thoroughly enjoying retirement. Each day, his schedule is pretty packed: wake up ☀️, nap 💤, follow his favorite human around ❤️, maybe take a walk 👟, nap again 😴, then off to bed before the evening news is over. 🌙 Ralphie is a handsome 10-year-old Chihuahua mix who weighs 16 pounds. He's not interested in toys anymore, but he’s fully committed to the art of napping. Don't let his retirement lifestyle fool you, though. Clip on his leash and this guy suddenly becomes the swiftest retiree in town! 💨 His foster says he comes alive on walks, happily cruising along with surprising pep in his step. One of the sweetest things about Ralphie is that he likes to drag his dog bed across the room so he can nap a little closer to his favorite person. 🥹 Ralphie gets along well with other dogs and with cats, too! 🐱👍 He's working hard on house training, sleeps in his own bed at night, and would love a home where his humans are home more often than not. He does have some separation anxiety and may bark quite a bit when left alone, so apartment life isn’t for him. He'd also do best in a home without young, high-energy kids. Ralphie has cataracts and is almost completely deaf, so it’s important not to sneak up on him. If startled, he may give a little growl to let you know he wasn’t expecting company. His hearing also means outdoor time needs a little extra care. Ralphie can’t hear you call him back or approaching cars, so he’ll need a secure wood or chain-link fence he can’t squeeze through (or he needs to stay on leash whenever he’s outside). Underneath it all, he’s just a gentle old soul who enjoys quiet days, leisurely walks, and never wants you to sit alone on the couch. Sound like your kinda guy?
