Story
Don’t let her age fool you, this gal has a lot of fun and sparkle in her! On a typical day, she likes to spend equal time taking walks, playing, napping under a pile of blankets and lots of couch cuddling. (She’s a bonafide lap dog!) She’s crate trained and ready for action, loves car rides, too! Katie hasn’t been around young children that we know of but does well with older kids and adults once she gets to know them. She gets along beautifully with her dog housemate and his canine friends as well. On outings she’s leash reactive but treats magically diffuse situations. Ok with cats.

Quigley is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy! He loves to be close, especially if he can borrow under the blankets to get close to you! He does well with other dogs. He will chase cats so a house without cats would be ideal, but he currently lives with dog savvy, cats who know how to handle him! if he decides that he doesn't want to do something that you want him to do, he will show you his spicy side, with a growl and a glimpse of his teeth! He will need a strong willed owner who knows how to set boundaries. This guy is going to be someone's very best companion! Maybe that's someone you!

Story
Meet Cricket! (Must be adopted with Beetle) Cricket is a petite, gentle sweetheart with a big heart. Cricket’s favorite things include snuggling, napping and eating her favorite snacks. She regularly stands up on her back legs to ask for a high five or to be picked up, it's her signature and most adorable move! Cricket loves to be held and carried, gazing lovingly into your eyes.  Cricket would love to be adopted with her husband, Beetle, as the two are inseparable and have been together their whole lives. They cuddle, nap, play, wrestle and follow each other everywhere. She even loves to groom the little guy! Being reunited made a world of difference for Cricket and Beetle. Side by side, they are happier, sillier, and more confident. You can find Beetle’s profile also on the website.  Before being rescued, Cricket spent her whole life living outside in a shed with other dogs. She’s embraced indoor living, but the changes can still feel overwhelming, and she may be shy, timid, and shaky around new people and places. She can take extra time to warm up to men, but after only a few days learned to love and trust her foster Dad. Cricket’s doing well with house training but may still have an occasional accident, so her adopters will need to be patient and continue this training. She loves exploring the backyard and is just beginning to learn how to walk on a leash. It’s all brand new to her! Though she can be shy at first, once Crickie warms up, she forms a deep, lasting bond with her people. She’ll become your little shadow and won’t let you forget how much she loves you. Crickie is getting very comfortable in her crate, though she may whine a bit. Her happiest place is curled up in bed with her foster parents and Beetle. She’s never in a hurry to get up in the mornings.  Like most Chihuahuas, they may be a bit watchful and bark at new visitors or the mail carrier, but they quickly warm up once they know people are friendly. If you’re searching for a pair of tiny love bugs who bring endless smiles and laughter with their adorable antics, Cricket and Beetle would make perfect companions for you.
