Story
Approx. DOB: 4/1/23                 Approx. Weight: 10 lbs Adoption Fee: $250 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness!     Rambler's previous owner could no longer care for him and released him to our group. He is full grown at 2 years old and 10 pounds. Rambler is a Rat terrier chihuahua mix male. Rambler might be timid at first, but he usually warms up quickly.  Rambler does well with other dogs and would love someone to play with.  He loves to run and play tag with the other dogs and especially the 30pd male in his foster home. He loves toys! So far he has been great sharing the toys with the other dogs.  Rambler will need more time to master his housebreaking skills.  He wears a belly band while indoors.  It protects items from being marked.  It also helps in the housebreaking.  He loves to go outside and will go out to potty but it's hit and miss so the belly band is needed indoors.  Rambler loves to be held, cuddled and snuggled with. He is quite the little love bug looking to share it with his new family.  He has a lot of love to give and receive.  Get your application in.        I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Approx. DOB: 4/1/19                 Approx. Weight: 8lbs Adoption Fee: $250 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Freya would not to well in a really active, loud home. It scares her and makes her fearful of everything.  Freya is a tri color, Rat terrier - Chihuahua mix female.  She is full grown at 8pds and 6 years old.  Freya's previous owner could no longer care for her and released her to our group.  Freya is timid when you first meet her. She is a real cuddle and snuggle baby.  Her favorite place to be is in your lap or next to you on the couch. She isn't super active but will play some. The dogs in her foster home have been her friends.  They are of all sizes, male and female.  She will get in a doggy bed with one of the smaller ones so she hasn't had any issues in sharing.  Freya doesn't like to be crated but will go in one while family is out of the house.  She will go outside to potty but also uses a potty pad.  If the weather is wet or cold she will definitely need a pad inside.  Freya is looking for her forever family and home.  Fill out the application today. Story
If you're looking for a low-key companion to sit at home and chill with, Marla is your girl! Marla is a blind older lady but she does not let that stop her! She is full of spunk and personality and loves to explore and strut her stuff. Marla would do best in a more calm environment since she can't see her surroundings and can become overwhelmed if there is too much going on. Marla really is a sweetheart that deserves only the finest things in life through her golden years. All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested (6 months and above,) and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. At the time of adoption all dogs are signed up with a unique Safe Paws QR pet ID tag, the adopter is required to maintain a monthly membership of $2.99/month for (at minimum) the first year. This helps insure your new furry family member makes his way back to you if lost. Leashes and collars are also required at the time of adoption. You are welcome to bring your own, or we have plenty to choose from at the shelter as well. If the pet you fall in love with is not quite ready for adoption, we do offer a $50 hold deposit that will insure you have first "dibs on adoption. Once an animal is available for adoption, we are not able to hold them, as there are so many animals waiting to come into our program. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays. You are welcome to fill out our quick 10 question adoption survey to facilitate a quicker process. This will also start the meeting process for those animals in foster care: Marla is a senior gal with a lot left to give. She is mostly blind but that doesn't slow her down. Marla is sweet and loves the comfort of a couch. If you're looking for the perfect gal to lounge with you, look no further. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MARQ/Dog

Story
Lulu's sooo cute!!! She's a tiny senior, about 10 years old and only 12 itty bitty pounds, with adorably huge ears and Groucho Marx eyebrows. She's a couch potato dog who loves to cuddle and nap. Lulu does great with other dogs, cats, AND kids. Oh, this smarty pants is housetrained, too! Honestly, Lulu's as close to perfect as we can imagine. Lulu's looking for a forever home and is available through Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you can give Lulu a fabulous home. She's staying in Beloit, Kansas, but transport is available!
