Story
Adoption Application:[https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CPAR/Dog](https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CPAR/Dog)Kiara is 6 years old and just 6 lbs, a tiny, sweet girl who recently arrived from Puerto Rico and is still getting used to her new surroundings.Kiara is shy at first, but in just a few days with her foster family she has already chosen her favorite person and completely attached herself to them. She loves being held and cuddled and will happily follow her person around the house just to be close. She is slowly starting to relax and become more comfortable with the resident dogs, too. Every day she seems a little less afraid and a little more curious about life around her. Since she has only been here a few days, we think there is still so much of Kiara's personality waiting to come out as she realizes she is safe.Kiara would love a patient home that will give her the time she needs to settle in at her own pace. Once she decides you're her person, you can expect to have one very tiny and devoted shadow.Kiara is being fostered in Bel Air, MD.**PLEASE READ:**Any dog that is house or potty trained will still need patience in a new home with new people and a new schedule. Please be ready to train ANY dog you adopt! Also, please understand we can not guarantee breed or full grown size of any young dog or puppy.Thank you for understanding.

Adoption Application:[https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CPAR/Dog](https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CPAR/Dog)Flan is 11 weeks old and 9 lbs with the cutest chocolate and tan coloring and an adorable little brown nose.He has a fun, adventurous puppy personality and is always ready to see what’s going on. Flan loves playing and being a typical wild, silly puppy, but once he’s worn himself out, he’s just as happy cuddling up for a nap.He is already doing well in his crate and is working on potty training. Flan is still very much a puppy baby, so his new family should be ready for all the fun, play, training, cuddles and chaos that come along with raising a puppy. He’s a happy, playful little guy with lots of personality who would love a family to grow up with.Flan is being fostered in Glen Burnie, MD.**PLEASE READ:**Any dog that is house or potty trained will still need patience in a new home with new people and a new schedule. Story
Ginger is an incredibly sweet and loyal girl looking for her next forever home. For years, she has been my grandmother’s beloved sidekick. Unfortunately, as my grandma has gotten older, she just can't keep up with the daily physical care and attention that Ginger rightfully deserves. We love this dog dearly, so we are stepping in to make sure she finds a home where she can continue to be pampered, loved, and given the time she needs. Ginger would thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention. Whether you are looking for a loyal shadow to follow you around the house, or just a certified couch potato to watch the game with, she is ready to step right into your starting lineup. Ginger isn't a project dog; she’s a ready-made best friend. If you have the time, love, and a cozy spot on the couch to offer, Ginger is ready to be your number one draft pick.

Story
Meet Uno — an 11‑year‑old Chihuahua mix with a gentle heart and a big need for stability. Meet Uno — a sweet, sensitive senior who’s weathered a big life change with quiet resilience. He was surrendered when his owner moved into assisted living, and while that kind of transition can be tough on a little dog, Uno has handled it with grace. What he wants now is simple: a calm, loving place to call his own.Uno’s dog and cat tests are pending, and we’ll update his profile once we have more information. His previous owner shared that he doesn’t enjoy the company of other pets and is unsure around young children, so he’ll do best with kids 12 and up. Here in the shelter, he hasn’t shown any issues, but we will test him to ensure we know everything Uno needs.Uno can be shy when you first meet him, taking a moment to decide if you’re safe. Give him that time, and you’ll see his true personality unfold — he’ll trot over, hop up on your legs, and ask for gentle pets with all the trust he has. He’s a loyal little companion who bonds deeply once he feels comfortable. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving senior who just wants a peaceful home and a person to adore, Uno is ready to meet you. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive! ACSKC Health Care for Each Adopted Pet Includes:Dogs: Preventatives for parasites, vaccines (Kennel Cough, Distemper, Rabies), spay/neuter, microchip, behavioral assessment.Cats: Parasite treatment, FeLV/FIV testing, deworming for kittens, vaccines (Distemper, Rabies), spay/neuter, microchip. What You’ll Take Home:Toys, treats, and food sampleRabies tag, microchip number, and medical recordsA “Pet Pal Packet” with feeding info, training tips, and guidance for helping your new pet adjust
