Story
Louie is a small Chihuahua with a big personality and a strong bond with his person. He is very affectionate, loyal, cuddly, and loves being close to the person he trusts. Once comfortable, he enjoys relaxing on the couch, treats, and spending time near his favorite human. Louie would do best in a calm, adult-only home with someone experienced with reactive or anxious dogs. He can become fearful and reactive around new people and other dogs, especially when overstimulated or startled by movement. Louie has shown protective and defensive behaviors, including biting, so his future home should be prepared to manage his environment carefully and continue working on training and confidence-building. This adorable, mature little man may be just 5 pounds, but his loving personality is larger than life.     Mack is housebroken, well-mannered, and perfectly content to settle into your routine. Whether you’re a first-time pet owner or a seasoned dog lover, Mack is a wonderful choice—he’s as low-maintenance as he is lovable. Mack gets along beautifully with kids, other dogs, and even cats. And let’s not forget his signature look—Mack has a flair for fashion and absolutely adores wearing his bowtie! He’s always dressed to impress and ready to win hearts wherever he goes.     Apply today and give this dapper little fellow the forever home he deserves—you’ll gain a loyal friend for life! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Buzz, his brother (Babe Woody), and their mom Fiona found themselves in a crowded shelter in Alabama — no place for this tiny family. Fortunately, K-9 Lifesavers stepped in to give them a second chance. Mom Fiona only weighs 8.8 lbs (picture included!), so we expect Buzz to stay a small pup too. Buzz is a very sweet little boy who is ready to find his forever home and soak up all the love. At his young age, he’s in the perfect stage for training, socialization, and learning all the good-boy basics. With a little guidance and a lot of cuddles, he’s sure to grow into a devoted and lovable companion. If you’re looking to add an endearing, affectionate pup to your family, look no further than this adorable little nugget.
