Story
Introducing Tiny T: Proof that Good Things Come in Small Packages Looking for a furry companion who will brighten up your life and fill your days with love and laughter? Look no further, for Tiny T is here to capture your heart and be your loyal companion for life. Tiny T may be small in stature, but he makes up for it with his larger-than-life personality. At just 1 year old, Tiny T is a fierce adventurer who loves nothing more than to chase cars on his walks. With his long, fluffy cinnamon sugar coat, he may look like a sweet treat, but he's a brave and curious explorer at heart. So if you're looking for a dog who will accompany you on all your adventures, Tiny T is the perfect match for you. But don't worry, he's also a cuddle bug who loves nothing more than to snuggle up on your lap for attention. Tiny T has been sharing a kennel with his best buddy Urkel and they are inseparable. They have formed an unbreakable bond and we believe that they should be adopted together. They make the perfect duo, with Tiny T's and will bring endless joy to your home. Tiny T gets along other dogs and dog-friendly cats. He may be tiny, but he has a huge heart and so much love to give. If you're the type of person who can shower Tiny T with love and attention, he will be your loyal and loving companion for life. He's looking for a home with a loving family who will cherish him and his BFF Urkel and give them all the love and care they deserve. They would love a home with a patient family who will train this duo to have good potty habits. Fancy Cats will work with the adopter to be sure that both Tiny T and Urkel are neutered after adoption. Adopt Tiny T and Urkel and give them the happy ending they deserve! Title: Urkel - The Nap-Loving, Lap-Sitting, People-Pleasing Chihuahua Mix Meet Urkel, a one-year-old male chihuahua mix with the most adorable quirks and the biggest heart. Urkel may be small, weighing only 14 pounds, but he has a big personality and an even bigger love for people! And he’s not alone - he comes with his best friend Tiny T, and they are looking for a loving family to call their own. Urkel's affectionate nature is one of his special traits. He is constantly by your side, always wanting to be your loyal and loving companion. And don't be surprised if he follows you around, curious to explore every nook and cranny of his new home. He especially loves to sniff around and investigate every tree, shrub, and blade of grass he comes across. But don't let his small size fool you - Urkel is an active and playful boy. After a good round of playtime, he loves to crash on the nearest warm lap or comfortable spot. He will even fall asleep sitting up because he doesn't want to miss out on any cuddles or belly rubs. Urkel gets along great with other dogs and even cats. In fact, he and Tiny T are the best of friends and must be adopted together. They have a special bond and keep each other company when their humans are away. We are looking for a loving home where Urkel and Tiny T can get all the love and attention they deserve. A home where someone is able to spend time with them and give them all the cuddles and belly rubs they want. They are both extroverted and people-pleasers, so they will thrive in a home where they can be a constant companion and soak up all the love and affection. They would love a home with a patient family who will train this duo to have good potty habits. Fancy Cats will work with the adopter to be sure that both Tiny T and Urkel are neutered after adoption. IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. ***Special adopter needed*** Meet Winter – The Chihuahua who doesn’t know she needs you. Are you looking for a dog who will love you instantly, sit in your lap and cuddle sweetly, come when you call, stare lovingly into your eyes and gently kiss your nose? Yeah… that’s not this one. Winter came from a hoarding situation, so she missed the class on How to Dog 101. She’s kind of… let’s say… socially awkward and deeply suspicious. She thinks companionship is unnecessary, affection is a scam, and the floor is lava unless she decides otherwise. She’s not broken—just running on some “alternative software.” She possesses the independence of an aloof cat and the stubbornness of a Bassett hound, wrapped up in the tiny body of a Chihuahua that’s bursting with trust issues. This little 15-pound gremlin is all flight and no fight, and those little legs can take her fast and far, so you better hold onto that leash tight. What she’s into: ~Dodging you ~Clutching her pearls with offense and judgment ~Side-eyeing you like you just stole her credit card ~Redefining “personal space”, think big! ~Doing absolutely nothing you asked her to do, unless it’s her idea ~Slowly, very slowly, realizing some humans have tasty treats, but not all treats are good enough ~Leash walks are her jam, just face forward and don’t look at her What she’s not into: ~Fast friendships ~Being touched, picked up, looked at or approached without her express permission, which she won’t give you ~Normal dog things (fetch? kisses? toys? puppy play dates? Pass.) Is she good with other dogs and cats in the home? Like her feelings about you, she couldn’t care less about other pets, as long as no one is trying to eat her or run her over. With time, patience, and a sense of humor, she’ll learn the world isn’t so scary. If you adopt her, and her trust issues, eventually, you’ll probably earn the rarest prize of all: her very reluctant affection (no guarantees). Apply today if you’re ready to love a dog who isn’t ready to love you, but is super cute, deserves better than the hand she was dealt in life, and might one day think you’re alright. Every dog deserves a home! Winter is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Georgie! Georgie is about 7 years old and weighs about 6 lbs. She needs to gain a pound or two. We guess her to be a Chihuahua/Min Pin Mix. Georgie came to Canines & Kitties when her elderly owner passed away. Georgie has led a very sheltered life and was a companion to the elderly owner. Georgie is a sweet, shy girl. She settled into her foster home quickly and wanted to explore right away. She was comfortable right away with touching her foster mom - climbing on her, sitting in her lap, and licking her hand - but was nervous about being picked up or petted and would run away or shake. She has made good progress in just a few days! Georgie is in a foster home with three other dogs and gets along fine with them - she mostly seems neutral with them, but she has shown a bit of playfulness with one of the dogs so far. She would probably love to be the only dog in the home. We think she would be fine with cats too. She is house trained and will use pee pads and will go potty outside. She does not need to be crated. She's a great little eater and eats kibble. She loves treats and will stand up on her hind legs in excitement. Georgie likes being near (or on) her foster mom and follows her around the house. She is a great work from home companion - she is quiet and doesn't need a lot of attention. She is happy to lounge or trot around the house, sometimes entertaining herself by chasing her tail and occasionally chewing on a Nyla bone. Georgie will require an all adult, quiet home. If you are looking for a companion small dog who will blossom more and more as time goes on - Miss Georgie is the dog for you:) Georgie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. The Adoption Fee is $375.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Missy! Missy is about 4 months old and weighs about 15 lbs. We think Missy looks like a Chihuahua/Terrier Mix - Just a Guess. Daisy (also on our website) is Missy's mom. Missy is a playful and energetic pup. Missy is a smart pup and will keep you laughing. Missy is doing very well on her house training too. Missy and Daisy are a bonded pair and will need to be adopt together. Because she is a puppy, she will require an adopter who is home a good portion of the day to continue his/her training—no exceptions. Missy is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed. Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Meet Oreo! -Oreo is about 2 years old and weighs about 10 lbs. We think he looks like a Chihuahua/Scruffy Terrier Mix (Just a Guess). Oreo came to Canines & Kitties from a hoarding situation. He is a very shy and timid dog who will require time and patience when he moves to his forever home. Oreo is learning to trust and has come a long way in his foster home in just a week. Oreo will need a calm and quiet environment as he learns that life isn't so scary. Oreo will need a home with another small (25 lbs and under) and confident dog.
