Story
Hi there, I'm Nadine, a sweet and teeny-tiny (8lbs) little chihuahua girl who's looking for a forever home. If you're looking for a pint-sized pup who wants to spend every moment together-- I'm your girl! I'm dreaming of an adopter who will give me all of the companionship, bedtime snuggles, and attention that I deserve! I was rescued by Beagle Freedom Project from a high-kill shelter where I was dumped after being hit by a car. Once Beagle Freedom Project heard my story, they knew they had to save me! Since being taken in by BFP, I’ve undergone a major surgery to repair my broken pelvis and knees, and I’ve recovered beautifully! I’m so happy to get to run again (sometimes I even like to break into a sprint!!). Now, I’ve been learning what it's like to be loved for the first time. I'm a total doll who bonds deeply with the people close to me, and I also like to enjoy my independence, too! Sometimes, I can even be pretty cat-like; spending my time on my own terms, but then always coming back to you for love and pets when I’m in the mood! I don't particularly adore other animals (I'm tiny and non-threatening, but I just like to have my own space from dogs and cats-- probably because I think I'm a human!!), so I'll do best in a home where I can be the apple of my adopter's eye. I'm still adjusting to this new life that I've fallen into-- one where people actually love me and take care of me-- so I can get anxious at times, because I'm so scared of being left behind. Could you be the person who shows me that I'll always be safe now? I'm I'm only 2 years old, and I have a whole lot of life to look forward to-- I hope I get to spend it with an adopter who will cherish me... could that be with you? 🏡 My Home’s Requirements: I'll thrive as the only dog in my furever home! 📍 My Location: LOS ANGELES, CA Please note: Third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed above! Beagle Freedom Project facilitates out-of-state adoptions, provided the adopter can travel to the animal’s current location for pickup. If you’re interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ For questions, email the Beagle Freedom Project team at: adopt@bfp.org About Beagle Freedom Project: Beagle Freedom Project is the world’s leading organization for rescuing and rehoming animals used in experimental research. Story
Boone is part of apir that came in together, however they are not bonded. Boone has been working on his socializing and will need someone with patience to help him overcome his fears- He has made progress, but it has been slow. He does love to play with other dogs and seems to warm up to them quickly. Once he does trust a human, he is very sweet and loving. Boone is a long haired chihuahua however, was shaved due to matting from neglect. His silver colors led us to believe he was older- however, we were surprised to see those beautiful clean teeth showing his age as young. He is actually VERY playful and would love someone who can teach him that not all humans are bad. Hes got a very big heart in that little body

Story
Meet Izzy! This adorable 1-year-old pup may be growing up, but she’s still very much a playful puppy at heart. Izzy is looking for a patient, loving home ready to help her learn all the basics—she’s still working on her manners and potty training, and can be a little mouthy when she’s excited. The good news? She’s highly treat-motivated (especially if cheese is involved!), which makes training fun and rewarding. Once she gets her wiggles out, Izzy turns into a total cuddlebug who loves to snuggle up close. If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy companion to help shape into an amazing dog, Izzy might be the perfect match! - Around 1 years old - Currently under 20lbs - Adoption fee: $500 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Include information about your family and pets, what you are looking for in a canine companion, how you plan to exercise and train this dog, and why this specific dog seems like a good fit for your family. Those who provide the previous information will be considered first for this canine. Please do NOT call our center. This will help us match you and the animal the best we can. We usually respond via email within 24-48 hours; please check your spam folder if you don't hear from us. Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.

Meet Silly Girl, a pint-sized bundle of joy who lives up to her name in every way! She’s sweet, adorable, and full of the kind of goofy charm that makes everyone around her smile. Though she’s still working on some basic training, her eagerness to please and her loving nature make her an amazing little girl with tons of potential. Meet Oats! SEE BELOW FOR FOSTER UPDATES! HOUSE-TRAINED & CRATE-TRAINED CUTIE PIE! This six-year-old, 17-pound chihuahua mix is all about the good life and is eager to begin his life with you! Oats is currently enjoying some much needed r&r in an amazing foster home! House-trained and crate-trained, this little man aims to please! He is a feisty fella who enjoys a good game of tug and won't pass up a squeaky toy! He will sit nicely for all sorts of treats which he takes gently! His foster mom is able to take both toys and treats away with no issue. Oats rides very well in the car and is a rockstar on leash. He'll make the ultimate road trip companion and is ready to join you on all of your adventures! After playtime is done, Oats enjoys curling up by the fire and is most happy when he's with his people. He does appear to have a bit of a prey drive, so keeping him on leash or a tie out would be necessary if your yard is not fenced. At the end of the day, he sleeps quietly through the night. Based on our evaluation, we feel Oats will do best in an active, but predictable home with adults or families with kids ages 12 and up. We feel he may have the potential to live in a home with other animals and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. If you think he could be the guy for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our outstanding Oats!
