Story
What a happy little man! Clive is estimated to be about 5 years old and weighs 17 pounds. Meet Clive, he is spunky, playful and can't wait to find a family to love him forever! With the most adorable snaggle-toothed underbite, he's sure to bring a smile to your face every day. Clive is an outgoing and loving boy who adores being close and will happily crawl into your lap for some attention and cuddles, that's his favorite! He's full of life and always up for an adventure or a game, though he may need a little reminder on the "drop it" command when he gets excited. He will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old. Clive would just love it if you came to meet him, he is so excited to have a family. If you are interested in Clive and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
MEET CONSUELA At 8 years old, Consuela is learning how to navigate a world that suddenly feels very different. After losing the only home and person she’s ever known, she’s searching for one simple thing… someone to love and stay close to. And love she does. From the moment she arrived into her foster home, Consuela showed just how deeply she connects to her people. She came right up, allowed herself to be held, and quickly made it clear that she just wants to be near you. She’ll follow you from room to room, gently paw for attention, and happily climb into your lap for comfort and affection. Being close is where she feels safe. She’s a well-mannered girl too—great in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and will happily offer a “sit” for a treat. She’s very social, enjoys being around people, and even has a playful side (her stuffed Eeyore toy is a favorite). Consuela does best with dogs her size and slow, respectful introductions. We don’t yet know how she does with cats, but she did come from a home with another small dog. She would do best in a calm, patient home with someone who is around often and understands small breed needs.  Consuela has so much love to give. She is hoping to find someone willing to meet her where she is, hold her close, and remind her that she’s home again. Could that be you?  We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. April 12, 2026, 7:55 pm

Story
Meet Orie! This 10 pound package of cuteness needs a special  home   He is shy and needs time to build a bond and warm up.  He would do best in an adult only home. He enjoys walks and calm, relaxed evenings.  Orie has met dogs through baby gates as well in a large fenced yard and has done well, but slow intros and planned integration into a home with dogs is a must ❤️. He is pee pad trained and utilizes a crate, but he prefers to be out. He is startled by storms and will need your comfort. If you are looking to help a small, but work-in-progress, guy then head to www.ccrcdogs.com to fill out an application!   We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. Story
Meet Audrey! Audrey is an adorable Chihuahua mix puppy with a heart full of love and a playful spirit! Born on 2/28/26, Audrey is part of a delightful Hollywood litter alongside her 5 siblings. This sweet girl is well socialized, making her a wonderful addition to a family looking for a friendly and charming companion. Audrey is a typical, lively puppy who is learning about the world around her. She is cute, affectionate, and always ready for playful antics that are sure to bring smiles and laughter to your home. As with all puppies, Audrey is full of energy and prone to chewing. Crate training may result in some sleepless nights at first. Puppies may also not be the best fit for older canine companions due to their excitable nature. Audrey is looking for a forever home filled with love, playfulness, and care. At such a young and delicate age, puppies should be monitored around young children and larger dogs. She is very small and can easily become a tripping hazard. It is important that someone is home more often than not during this stage to promote house training and proper socialization. We are looking for a patient and active family willing to invest the time and effort required to raise and train a young puppy. Due to her petite size, she is not suited for a tether system, as she thrives on companionship and interaction. We are focusing our search to homes with secured fenced yards as these puppies are very small and it will be quite some time before they will be able to go for leash walks. A loving family that can provide plenty of attention and playtime will make Audrey the happiest puppy! We are currently accepting applications for this litter and accepting a $50 non-refundable deposit at the time of the scheduled mee-and-greet if you choose to adopt, to hold Audrey until she is ready to go home at 8 weeks of age (4/25/26). This deposit will be applied toward the final adoption fee. Puppies will go home in foster-to-adopt status until their spay surgery is completed at 6 months of age at one of our partner veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clawson, Clinton Township, Sterling Heights, or Rochester). This procedure is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable. Audrey is:Current on age appropriate vaccinationsDewormedReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedScheduled for spay surgery at our partner veterinary office at 6 months of age.ADOPTION FEE: $425 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different. While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. ##2704669##
