I had found myself lost and ended up scared and shutdown at Genesee County Animal Control until my friends came to bring me to Paradise! I'm a quiet low key dude that just goes with the flow! I don't need much to make me happy, perhaps some snuggles, couch time and a short daily walk. I can be a bit on the shy side, especially when it comes to putting on a collar, leash, or coat, but I am building my confidence every day! I am house and crate trained, dog and cat friendly, and would do best in a teenage or adult only home, just because loud noises and chaos is a bit much for me. A physical fenced yard might be best as I do like to look to make an escape out the door if there is an opportunity. Stanley is a mixed breed of what we think Chihuahua with unknown, maybe Carolina dog?, 27 lbs, approximately 6-7 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm and fecal negative, and on monthly preventention. Make sure to let us know you saw Frazier on Adopt-a-pet. Frazier is quite the gentlemen at only 3 years old- he has a taste for the finer things in life. Be it the ladies or kiddos over 5, he knows what he wants! Who wouldn't when you are as well traveled as him? Speaking of, at first, Fraizer can be a bit of a door darter, however once he becomes comfortable within a space, this tendency seems to subside. As with most little dogs he tends to like his territory (and will mark it as such. With proper training, he can learn not to!). A good Kong treat to work on and a plate full of pate are all this small boy needs to be content. Cat behavior unknown and he can be picky about who he calls a friend dog-wise. Hi there, I'm Nadine, a sweet and teeny-tiny (8lbs) little chihuahua girl who's looking for a forever home. If you're looking for a pint-sized pup who wants to spend every moment together-- I'm your girl! I'm dreaming of an adopter who will give me all of the companionship, bedtime snuggles, and attention that I deserve! I was rescued by Beagle Freedom Project from a high-kill shelter where I was dumped after being hit by a car. Once Beagle Freedom Project heard my story, they knew they had to save me! Since being taken in by BFP, I’ve undergone a major surgery to repair my broken pelvis and knees, and I’ve recovered beautifully! I’m so happy to get to run again (sometimes I even like to break into a sprint!!). Now, I’ve been learning what it's like to be loved for the first time. I'm a total doll who bonds deeply with the people close to me, and I also like to enjoy my independence, too! Sometimes, I can even be pretty cat-like; spending my time on my own terms, but then always coming back to you for love and pets when I’m in the mood! I don't particularly adore other animals (I'm tiny and non-threatening, but I just like to have my own space from dogs and cats-- probably because I think I'm a human!!), so I'll do best in a home where I can be the apple of my adopter's eye. I'm still adjusting to this new life that I've fallen into-- one where people actually love me and take care of me-- so I can get anxious at times, because I'm so scared of being left behind.
