Story
Meet your future best friend, Lightning McQueesn🐾✨ This puppy is a perfect bundle of energy, curiosity, and irresistible cuteness—but like all puppies, — is still learning how to be the best dog possible. Continued basic training will be needed, including leash skills, crate training, potty training, and everyday manners. With a growing body and a busy brain, puppies need structure, enrichment, and positive outlets for energy to prevent overstimulation, mouthiness, or the development of unwanted habits. A home committed to consistency, patience, and mental and physical exercise will help — grow into a confident, well-balanced adult dog. With the right foundation, the possibilities are endless! 💛 • Around 3 months old • Currently 10 lbs • Good with kids, dogs and cats. • Adoption fee: $400 This dog is currently housed at our shelter. If you are interested, please come in at your earliest availability during our open hours, no appointment necessary. We do same-day adoptions, do not hold dogs, and work on a first-come, first-served basis as long as it is an excellent fit for both parties. If you have questions or want to possibly schedule an appointment on one of our closed days, you may email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, preventatives, heartworm testing (if age-appropriate), microchip, and dental cleaning if needed. Future veterinary care will be the adopter’s responsibility.

Story
***Bill is in a foster home, so he is not at the kennel. If you are interested in him, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you.*** Four words to describe Bill would be happy, curious, goofy and friendly! Actually, five are in order, adorable! He is estimated to be about 10 years old and weighs 8 pounds. This little guy is an active, social senior Chihuahua. He is looking for a forever home with a person or family who can be with him most of the time as he gets quite anxious when no one is home with him. He loves other small dogs and wants to meet every dog or cat that he sees. He can come on a bit strong with a lot of sniffing when he meets a new small dog, but it will subside if the other dog has patience with him. He bonds quickly and strongly with his person and wants to be in the same room with his person at all times. But he doesn't require constant attention and is happy to lay on his dog bed in whatever room you are in, at least until it is time for a walk. He has a very strong sense of adventure and doesn't have much of a fear instinct, so his forever family will need to keep a close on eye on him especially outside. When he is outside to go potty, he is apt to just start walking and not stop. His forever family will also have to keep a close eye on him around new dogs or cats because he will happily and quickly go right up to them without an ounce of fear or concern. He recently had the last of his teeth removed as they were in bad shape and causing him discomfort, so his forever family will need to only feed him soft food. He gets very excited for his food though, so there definitely hasn't been any impact on his appetite. Bill is a sweet, curious, goofy, happy boy who can't wait to meet his new family! He will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old with. He would love it if you wanted to meet him, he still has so much more love to give. If you are interested in Bill and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Good With Kids: No young kids Good With Other Dogs: Yes Good With Cats: Unknown Housetrained: Workin’ on it Crate Trained: Yes Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes Knows Basic Commands: Workin’ on it Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate Special Needs: Physical Fence: Preferred Favorite Toy / Activity: Playing outdoors with dog pals. ARRIVAL STORY: Was relinquished by owner due to too many dogs in home. AGE / WEIGHT: 1.5 Yrs Old and 9lbs. PERSONALITY: Jake may be just 9 pounds, but inside that tiny frame is a heart waiting to blossom in the right hands. At about 1.5 years old, this sweet, soulful boy has already been through more than most pups ever should. Jake spent his early life in a home with too many dogs and not enough human love to go around. Despite that rough start, he’s learning every day what it feels like to be cherished — and he's ready to keep learning with you. In foster care, Jake has discovered the pure joy of playing tug with his dog pal Remi and the hilarious thrill of burying his favorite treasures in the yard. While he’s still working on a few basics like housetraining and commands, he’s already showing us his gentle, quiet spirit. You may never hear his unusual bark, but you’ll see his personality shine in the small moments: a tail wag in the yard, a happy trot beside his dog buddy, or a shy glance that slowly turns into trust. He’s a handsome mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Mini Schnauzer, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle, and a sprinkle of a few other breeds — a true one-of-a-kind companion! New Home: Jake is looking for a calm, patient home — ideally with a woman and another confident dog who can show him the ropes. He can be a little fearful, especially around men (he never really got to know them before), but he’s never shown any aggression. With time, understanding, and lots of love, Jake will reward you in ways only a dog who has truly learned to trust can. If you have experience with shy or unsocialized dogs, and your heart is open to watching a once-nervous little boy learn to feel safe, Jake will be your greatest joy. CONTACT: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application. ADOPTION INFO: We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar on our website for the date and time of the next adoption event. Arrangements can be made to meet a dog outside of adoption events after an application is submitted and approved. Our adoption process includes an application and in-home meet-n-greet with the dog. -Adult Dog Adoption Fee - $250 -Senior Dog Adoption Fee - $125 -Pup Adoption Fee - $250 plus $50 spay/neuter deposit refunded upon proof of surgery by 6 mos.

🌊☀️ Catch Some Sunshine with Pixie! ☀️🌊 Every beach day needs a little sunshine, and Pixie is ready to bring plenty of it to her forever family! 🐾💕 Pixie is a 3-year-old Chihuahua mix who is ready to find her perfect home where she can relax, feel safe, and let her sweet personality shine. Like a little seashell waiting to be discovered, Pixie may be a little shy at first—but with patience and kindness, she quickly opens up into a playful, affectionate, and loving companion. 🌸 🌴 A little more about Pixie: 🐾 Current on vaccinations and prevention 🐾 Will be spayed through the rescue 🐾 Loves attention and is very food motivated 🐾 A true dog-lover who enjoys canine companionship 🐾 Potty trained and pee pad trained 🐾 Enjoys car rides and rides well 🐾 Has done great free-roaming with other dogs 🐾 Not crate trained—crates can feel scary for her 🐾 No exposure to children yet Pixie is a high-energy little beach buddy who loves being part of the action. She enjoys playtime, attention, and spending time with her favorite people. She does have separation anxiety when left home alone without another dog, so she would do best with a family who is home often or has a friendly canine companion to keep her company. 🌊 Pixie is looking for a home where she can soak up the love, enjoy some adventures, and continue growing in confidence. In return, she'll bring endless affection, happy wiggles, and a whole lot of love. 🏖️ Could Pixie be the missing piece to your family’s summer memories? 👉 Apply to adopt: underdogrescueranch.com/adopt
