This little chi/pug mix girl was born at DASH when her mom, Sassy, came to the rescue very heavily pregnant. Rose and her siblings were born via C-Section shortly after. Since being with her foster mom, she is thriving and is a typical puppy. She is still very young, so she hasn't started learning many of her puppy manners, so her new family will need to be ready and willing to work with her on that journey to being the best puppy ever. She has been around her siblings and other small dogs in her foster home, but has not been cat or kid tested. Due to her smaller size, very young rambunctious children may not be the best fit, but older respectful kids should be fine. She is ready for deposits until she is old enough to be spayed. She was very scared when she first came to DASH and very protective of her puppies. The great news is while in her foster home, she has finished raising her puppies and she has come around to be a very sweet, loving little lad. She can be a little shy upon meeting new people, but does warm up after just a little while. Since she was raising her puppies, she is just now working on crate training, potty training and walking on a leash and her new home will need to continue to help her with those things. She gets along with the other small dogs in her foster home, but has not been kid or cat tested. She just really wants a home that will show her all the love she deserves and to be someone's forever companion. Online Adoption Application › Meet Sassy â¤ï¸ This tiny 5–6 pound Chihuahua has already been through more than most dogs experience in a lifetime, and now she’s ready for the happy ending she deserves. When she first came to rescue, she was pregnant after being bred by a much larger male dog. She required a C-section to safely deliver her puppies. Thankfully, she recovered beautifully and proved to be a wonderful mom. Now that her puppies are weaned and thriving, it’s finally her turn to be spoiled and loved. Despite everything she’s been through, she is one of the sweetest, gentlest little dogs you’ll ever meet. She adores affection and is happiest curled up in your arms, often drifting off to sleep while being held. There never seems to be enough cuddles in her world, and she’s always ready for more. She enjoys being close to her person and will often quietly follow you from room to room, but she’s not demanding or clingy about it. She’s content to simply be nearby, keeping you company throughout the day. She is still working on house training but does well with regular outside potty breaks. She’s a calm and quiet girl who only barks when she feels there’s a good reason. Most of the time you’ll hardly know she’s there until you look down and find her peacefully resting nearby. She gets along nicely with other dogs and integrates easily into a pack, but she’s not overly interested in socializing or playing. She’s perfectly happy doing her own thing and has a patient, easygoing nature that allows her to coexist comfortably with other dogs without drama. Since coming into the rescue and being at her current foster, she has gained a lot of confidence and has really come out of her shell. She is still a little shy on meeting new people, but will warm up after a short while. She is crate trained, mostly potty trained and is still working on her leash manners, so she would do best with a fenced in yard where she can feel comfortable going outside on her terms to potty and explore. This beautiful girl is great with other dogs her size and the cats in her foster home. She has not been kid tested and due to her shyness, children under the age of 10 are not recommended. This lovely little girl came to DASH with her friend Mini Claus when they were abandoned in a burnt down drug house. Luckily some kind neighbors were feeding them, but it was no place for small girls to be. So they made their way to us where they will never know that kind of life again. Ellie is a very sweet, loving girl, who is pretty laid back. She enjoys napping in a big comfy dog bed, and watching all the other doggie antics in her current foster home. She is still a little shy upon meeting new people, but warms up quickly once she knows you are there to love her. She is working on her potty training, crate training and walking on a leash, so her new family will need to continue helping her on that journey. She loves other dogs, is fine around cats, but has not been kid tested. She would be great for a senior or family alike and is ready to find her forever home.
