Meet Lime! 🍋🐶Lime is a 7-year-old Chihuahua mix—possibly with a little Dachshund sprinkled in—who came to us with his siblings after their owner was no longer able to care for them. Lime is the oldest of the group, and while we don’t know for sure, he may even be the father of the others. We were told Chihuahua, but based on appearances we suspect Chihuahua/Dachshund; however, we can’t make any promises on breed.This sweet, middle-aged gentleman still has plenty of love to give, just without all the wild puppy energy. He enjoys going for walks, but he also truly appreciates the quieter moments—snuggling on the couch, keeping your lap warm, and simply enjoying your company. He’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a calmer, affectionate friend.Lime has received his vaccines, is flea & tick treated, tested negative for Heartworm, Lyme, Anaplasma, and Ehrlichia, and is currently on heartworm prevention. He will be neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.Lime has lived with other dogs, though they were all small and related to him, so proper introductions will be important with new canine friends. We’re unsure how he feels about cats. He did not previously live with children, so if there are kids in the home, we ask that they come meet him. Lime has lived in a home before and is likely at least somewhat house-trained.If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who loves both walks and couch time, Lime may be your perfect match. 💛🐾Lime's adoption fee is $250. We were told Chihuahua, but judging by their looks, we suspect a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, though we can’t make any guarantees on breed.Blueberry is a bit more scared here at the shelter but we have no doubt her she will blossom back in a loving home. While she’s fully grown, she’s still young enough to be a little wiggly, enjoy playtime, and go for walks—but she also truly appreciates quieter moments like snuggling on the couch or keeping your lap warm. She’s a great match for someone who wants a companion with a bit of pep and plenty of cuddle time.Blueberry has received her vaccines, is flea & tick treated, tested negative for Heartworm, Lyme, Anaplasma, and Ehrlichia, for which she is currently being treated (it is not contagious). This lovely little girl came to DASH with her friend Mini Claus when they were abandoned in a burnt down drug house. Luckily some kind neighbors were feeding them, but it was no place for small girls to be. So they made their way to us where they will never know that kind of life again. Ellie is a very sweet, loving girl, who is pretty laid back. She enjoys napping in a big comfy dog bed, and watching all the other doggie antics in her current foster home. She is still a little shy upon meeting new people, but warms up quickly once she knows you are there to love her. She is working on her potty training, crate training and walking on a leash, so her new family will need to continue helping her on that journey. She loves other dogs, is fine around cats, but has not been kid tested. She would be great for a senior or family alike and is ready to find her forever home. This small little chi girl came to DASH with several other small dogs when their owner went into a nursing home and could no longer care for them. She is a very sweet, little girl, but is a little shy upon meeting new people, but warms up very quickly, once she knows you. She loves sleeping in bed with her foster mom and dad and enjoys playing with the other dogs in the house. She is working on her crate training, potty training and leash training as she has never known any of those things in her previous home. She is ok with cats, but no small kids for this girl.
