Meet Bob & Snoopy! ❤️🐾
Double the trouble, double the cuteness, and double the love!
Bob and Snoopy are an adorable bonded pair of Chihuahua mixes who came to The Asher House together after being rescued from a euthanasia list in California. Bob is 7 years old and weighs 10 pounds, while his younger partner in crime, Snoopy, is 2 years old and weighs just 9 pounds. These two little guys have been through so much together, and because of their special bond, they must be adopted together!
When Bob and Snoopy first arrived at the sanctuary, they were both extremely shy and unsure of the world around them. They've made incredible progress and gained so much confidence since being here! While they can still be very shy when meeting new people, once they're given a little patience, understanding, and time to feel comfortable, their adorable and mischievous personalities really start to shine!
And boy, have those personalities come out! What started as two timid little Chihuahuas has turned into a hilarious duo of tiny troublemakers who keep our staff laughing and on their toes. Don't let their size fool you, because these boys have plenty of spunk!
Snoopy, in particular, has earned himself the title of little Houdini! Playpens, gates, and fences are apparently just suggestions in his mind. He's figured out how to jump over playpens and squeeze through spaces you wouldn't think a dog could fit through. His future family will need to be especially mindful of secure fencing, gates, and doors to keep this clever little adventurer safe!
And then there's Bob! At 7 years old, you might expect him to be the calmer, more mature half of this duo, but think again! Bob has plenty of mischief of his own and can be surprisingly quick on his feet. He's even managed to launch himself right out of his kennel during an especially enthusiastic exit! These two certainly know how to keep life interesting.
Bob and Snoopy do well with other dogs, but they definitely have some opinions about how their canine friends should behave! Neither is a big fan of overly excited or rowdy play, and they've been known to appoint themselves as the fun police, stepping in to correct other dogs when things get a little too wild. They would do best in a home with calm, respectful dogs who appreciate a more relaxed environment and can give them space when needed.
Both boys would do well with children ages 12 and older who can respect their boundaries and understand that they may need extra time to warm up. Their compatibility with cats is currently unknown.
Because Bob and Snoopy can still be nervous around unfamiliar people and situations, their ideal family will be patient, gentle, and willing to let them settle in at their own pace. A calm, predictable home where they can continue building their confidence together would be wonderful for these two little guys.
Despite everything they've been through, Bob and Snoopy are proving every day just how much personality, resilience, and joy can fit into two tiny bodies. They've come such a long way together, and now they're ready for their next adventure: finding a loving family who will give them both the forever home they deserve!
