Story
Izzy is a good dog however she does not like the male in the household. Barks when he enters the room and growls. I have another dog she gets along with and a cat she doesn't pay any attention to. She can be a little aggressive around other dogs and children. Shes very protective of her owner.Just want her to go to a good home. Better for a single person with no pets or children

Story
Meet Pepper! Pepper was found wandering a neighbor and some nice ladies took her in and searched for her owners, but ended up not finding them. No microchip, collar, tag, nothing. Once her stray hold was completed, they brought her to us. Boy is she cute AND sweet! She was loved at some point in her life as she knows basic commands (when treats are involved) and his house/pad/crate trained. Pepper does get really excited (once she gets to know you) when you get home, she likes to jump and get kisses! lol She is an ACTIVE girl and definitely needs a fence for “zoomies” and would prefer another dog friend (unless her people are home most of the time). She is great with most people and pets, however she will chase kitties if they are running around. She is around a year old and is a perfect size! Not too little and not too big, weighing 17 pounds. She is spayed, updated on all shots, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. The adoption fee is $200 Which covers spay/neuter, shots, microchip, heartworm test, grooming (if needed), deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and supplies while in our care. The pet MUST be kept on heartworm prevention all of their life. To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com *We do home checks (either in person or virtual) for each pet before approving an adoption. Home owners and those a fenced in yard are always given preference.* The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. If they are still on the page, they are still more than likely still available. Once a pet is adopted from our rescue, they MUST be returned to us, if you cannot keep them. If you plan on not keeping them their whole lives, please do not apply. Thank you for looking at our rescues in need of amazing homes!

Story
Meet Katy! (AKA Katy Bug) She was surrendered by her owner due to a move unfortunately, so that’s why she’s need a FURever home now. Oh my word…she the sweetest girl ever! She is so friendly and walked in the house liked she had always been here! This girl is a major cuddler and lap dog, so be warned! lol Oh and she has the softest fur for a chihweenie I’ve ever touched! Katy is 4-5 years old and weighs 12 pounds. She is spayed, updated on all shots, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms. She must be kept on heartworm prevention all of her life like all dogs should be. She is great with people of all ages and other dogs. She has been good with most of my cats, but there is 1 she doesn’t care for at all, so it will just depend on the cat. She is pretty good in the house and is used to a fence or leash walking. As always, please expect a few accidents as she adjusts to her new home. The adoption fee is $225 Which covers spay/neuter, shots, microchip, heartworm test, grooming (if needed), deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and supplies while in our care. The pet MUST be kept on heartworm prevention all of their life. *PLEASE NOTE* Some of the FURkids may have a higher fee than others, to help balance the costs to cover other FURkids needs as well. To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com *We do home checks (either in person or virtual) for each pet before approving an adoption. Story
Sour is Sophie's name for the first few days. Normal for a chihuahua terrier mix. She's selfish about her favorite human and tries to intimate other dogs so a home with well socialized and tolerant pets is a must. Some separation anxiety at first but goes away after a few weeks without any destructive behavior. We have two dogs and she has the run of the house while we're gone. She sleeps all night in her crate beside the bed and is house trained. Her last home was a young family with two small children and a large puppy and it was too stressful for her manage. Once she warms up she a very affectionate girl and rolls for belly rubs in days. She has very little teeth left so a soft diet is must. An older couple or single adopter looking for a companion will be very pleased.

Story
This precious little girl was found in a extremely dangerous situation. I had seen a post about a dog running on the side of a busy four lane. In the pics I thought that she looked like a medium sized pup, maybe 30 lb. Regardless of her size, she needed help & she needed it fast. I had a quick conversation with the man above and said ,"If you need my help, you need to let me spot her on way to town today". Sure enough there she was, I spotted her immediately. This baby was so tiny and very pregnant. For several days I worked on building our relationship. I had learned her routine and found her safe place where I fed her daily. The following morning I set a trap and crossed my fingers and toes. Against all odds ,I got her within an hour & this little girl was exhausted and appeared so relieved. A few weeks later on Easter eve, CoCo Bunny gave birth to four adorable little nuggets "the bunny boys". She is such a special soul, excellent mommy and though she is learning to trust, she will LOVE you like you hung the moon. Her only quirk is that she wants to be with you 24/7. I personally think its because she doesn't want to be left behind ever again. I'm not going to label her "special needs" because her needs are really basic. It's about finding her person, that one needle in the haystack that loves as intensely as Coco does and will give her the attention that she deserves & craves.
