Peanut has a big dog personality and if he sees other dogs, he gets super excited, and the yipping sounds scary, but he just wants to play!! He's a nipper and he likes to jump on you out of excitement and although he LOVES kids, he should be in.a home with older kids Peanut is still young, and has plenty of energy to play and run.He has been known to be a runner- He will take off and think, it's a GAME and it will be hard to catch him, so careful at the doors nd fences ;) But smart sweet pup loves kisses and lay on your lap . He walks good on a leash i put 2 one on harness and collar since I don't want him to get loose. (harnesses are too easy to get out of, so a martingale collar is his best collar) He can upset a bigger or smaller dog if they don't have a tolerance for nippiness.In the face kinda of thing he loved to play and he runs super fast lol 😆 they would have to be extra careful that he never gets out of front.Door or takes off he laughing fast 😅 Poor little guy almost got run over on these big streets all alone, and we NEVER want that to happen to him again. So now you know more about the firecracker named Peanut. He is a doll!! ADOPT....DON'T SHOP!! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Cookie came to us as a bonded pair with another Chi, Tiny, who we sadly lost in July of this year (2026). Cookie was the larger one at around 8lbs and is younger at only around 2 years old. She has been spayed since she came to us. Cookie can bark at strange men especially but did great with our male vet and team members she has been around, and seems to calm down after spending just a brief amount of time with them. She especially is a kisser and loves to love on people-awwww! She can be a vocal Chi so would not be appropriate for an apartment and seems to do ok with other dogs but we are still learning about how she will do after so recently losing Tiny, her husband (yes they were officially married!). She seems ok so far and just goes to his sleeping spots to see if he is there, so we are not sure is she would be better in a house as the only dog, or would be better with others.August 25, 2026, 6:26 pm

Norman is a sweet senior 8 year old, pays minimal attention to the other dog in his foster's home, likes rides in the car and is independent. Norman has started to become much more of a snuggler which is adorable and also seems to walk well on leash and eats his recommended diet like a horse lol! In fact he has started figuring out how to climb up to his foster's bed and sleep with her and will sleep for 10 hours straight! Norman does need some fairly extensive dental work done so we will be getting that taken care of asap. He did go in to have that done but they found his heart rate to be a little slow so out of precaution we are seeing the Cardiologist June 18th just to make sure he'll be good to go under anesthesia for the dental procedure. Norman is great with being carried but has some depth perception issues so carrying him up stairs and then blocking them off so he can't independently go up or down would be needed. He LOVES to walk and get his steps in and we think he would do best in a home with a fully fenced in yard because this boy loves to explore so he would thrive with a fenced in yard to run around in. Norman may seem like he is dis-engaged but he is-he just needs a sec to explore first and then snuggle later-but he will snuggle for sure we he is ready to relax! He is good with pretty much any dog and any thing-but we are starting to see a little prey dive come out with the foster's chickens!August 25, 2026, 6:26 pm

Etta James came to us fairly obese but has been on a very successful weightless journey with her fosters-yay! She is down to about 11+ lbs now and has just a bit more to go so an adopter MUST commit to continuing on with her health journey. She seems very easy going, good with other dogs, walks on a leash well, and adapts fairly easy! She also seems to like men which is nice when it comes to rescue dogs!August 25, 2026, 6:26 pm
