Story
NITRO IS BACK & ACCEPTING ADOPTION APPLICATIONS! Sometimes an adoption doesn’t work out the way everyone hoped, and that’s what happened with our little Nitro. His adoptive family realized they were unable to give him the time and attention he deserved, so they made the difficult decision to return him to Belles Buds Rescue. And guess who was waiting with open arms? His foster mom. Nitro is back in his familiar foster home, and we have to admit… she’s pretty happy to have this tiny guy back on her lap! Because if there is one thing you need to know about Nitro, it’s this: He may only weigh 7 pounds, but nobody has told Nitro that he is a little dog. This little Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix has a BIG personality. He lives with dogs much larger than he is, including his foster sister Quinn, who is about TEN TIMES his size. They play beautifully together—and somehow, all the dogs in the house understand that tiny Nitro is the boss. He LOVES meeting and playing with other dogs and would be very happy with a canine buddy in his forever home. At our recent adoption event at Cross Creek, we also got to see how much Nitro enjoys children. He happily climbed into their laps and soaked up all the attention they were willing to give him. We also learned something important about how Nitro likes to meet new adults. He can become nervous when someone he doesn’t know reaches down over the top of his head. He may duck away and, if frightened, try to nibble at fingers. We don’t know everything that happened before Nitro was rescued, but something about that motion makes him uncomfortable. The good news? Nitro tells you exactly what makes him feel safe. Give him a little space, hold your hand down where he can approach and sniff you first, and let HIM decide when he’s ready. Once he realizes you’re a friend, those head scratches are very welcome—and then you get to meet the affectionate little guy his foster family knows. And affectionate might be an understatement. Nitro is 100% a lap dog. If there’s an available lap, he’s probably going to find it. And if your lap isn’t quite close enough? He has another option. Your shoulder. Yes, sometimes Nitro crawls right up and perches on his foster mom’s shoulder like a tiny parrot riding around with a pirate. ‍ A few more things to love about Nitro: Approximately 7 pounds Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix Dog friendly—even with BIG dogs Did wonderfully with children at our adoption event Loves playing with toys and hanging out in the yard Walks great on a leash Loves car rides Crate trained, although he’d much rather be with you Potty training is going very well and he holds it all night Knows sit and come Professional lap warmer Self-appointed household security system when he hears an unfamiliar sound And can we talk about those EARS?! Most of the time they’re standing straight up and taking in everything happening around him. But when Nitro gets relaxed and starts soaking up affection, those big ears fold right back. Add his mostly white coat with adorable tan spots and that little curly tail, and he’s pretty hard to resist. Nitro’s first forever home wasn’t meant to be. That’s okay. We’re going to keep looking until we find the one that is. This little 7-pound survivor deserves a family who understands his quirks, respects his boundaries, lets him be his silly little self, and has plenty of room on their lap—or apparently their shoulder—for Nitro. His name is Romeo. I bought him $1250. He got all required shots and vaccine for 2026. He is very healthy. Have all Medical record by ShotVet. He got name tag. Include food and snack leftover, water dispenser, crate, mats clothes and toys. My wife's health is not good to take care of him. I travel quite often. First picture is when I bought him ( 8 weeks old) from the breeder, the second pic is current one.

Story
Meet Trina! This sweet girl is looking for a home with her best friend, Big Daddy (A054506). These two are a bonded pair and want to be adopted together. According to her previous owner, Trina and Big Daddy are housebroken, good with other dogs, and sweet with children. Trina is a gentle, friendly, and calm girl with a low energy level. She walks nicely on leash, and is both submissive and affectionate. As soon as you start petting her, she’s happy to roll over for belly rubs. She’s happy to amuse herself, but she’ll always appreciate some attention when you offer it. Trina is very easygoing. If Big Daddy comes between her and you to steal some pets, Trina doesn’t seem bothered at all. She’s happy to share the love. She isn’t particularly interested in toys or treats and doesn’t seem to know any tricks yet - but she has plenty of sweetness to make up for it.Trina and Big Daddy have been together for about four years, and we’d love to see them find a home where they can continue their lives side by side.

Story
Meet Big Daddy! This handsome, sweet boy is looking for a home with his best friend, Trina A054507. They are a bonded pair and want to be adopted together. Big Daddy and Trina have been together for about four years, and their previous owner described them as both lovable and adorable. Sadly, their owner had to surrender them to us due to her health issues, but she says both dogs are potty trained, get along well with other dogs, and have done well around children. Big Daddy is a gentle, friendly, and calm guy who is a little more outgoing than his best friend. He has a low to medium energy level and walks pretty well on leash. Big Daddy LOVES attention and is quick to roll over for belly rubs. If you`re busy petting Trina, don`t be surprised if Big Daddy comes running over to make sure he gets his share, too! He has no problem squeezing himself into the middle of the affection, and Trina is perfectly happy to let him. They don`t seem to argue over attention at all, though they both love getting loved on. Big Daddy will chase a toy when you throw it, although he doesn`t quite understand the concept of actually playing with it afterward. He takes treats very gently from your hand, but doesn`t seem to know any tricks yet. He`s perfectly content wandering around and doing his own thing when you’re not paying attention to him. Big Daddy and Trina deserve a home where they can stay together and continue being the sweet, affectionate duo they clearly are.
