Story
Meet Woofgang Puck, or just Puck for short! This lovable 8-year-old Chihuahua mix is a little bundle of joy, possibly with a sprinkle of Beagle in his genes. At first, Puck may come off as shy, but give him a moment, and his playful side will shine like a star! Puck adores his toys and loves to get into some light-hearted trouble—just picture him as the life of the party! He enjoys his naps, but don’t let him miss out on the fun; after all, who wants to snooze through an adventure? He loves being outside, but keep an eye on him—if the yard isn’t secure, he might go on his own mini explorations. And be careful! If a door is left open, he’s ready to dash out! When it comes to other dogs, Puck needs a little help. He has a tendency to “assist” them with their meals, which can be quite annoying. His friendly greetings can be a bit much—he barks, jumps, and wags his tail enthusiastically, which may confuse his canine pals. With some training, he can learn to tone it down. He’s also learning how to handle his protective instincts, but if you have other pets, be prepared to guide him through it. Puck is quite the jumper when he’s excited and might unexpectedly leap onto you, giving playful nips at your legs! He listens when corrected but often forgets the rules once the fun starts again. While he’s crate trained, Puck feels much more comfortable snoozing on a cozy bed rather than being confined to a crate. Sleeping in your bed isn’t something he’s into just yet. The good news is, he’s house trained and will let you know when it’s time to go out. Puck does have a heart murmur and takes medication twice a day for it. He can get a bit anxious, especially when being picked up or during car rides, and sitting on laps isn’t really his scene. This sweet boy is looking for a forever home filled with love, patience, and understanding. With your support, Puck will be ready for short hikes and exciting adventures with his favorite human! Puck has been neutered, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. He also had a recent dental and lost a few teeth. If you are interested in adopting Puck, please complete an adoption application on our website. Just go to uaaf.org/adopt. Story
Linkin is a sweet, silly little guy with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He’s been perfect with the dog door since day one—four weeks in and not a single accident, even before he was neutered. He loves to play with both humans and dogs, and fetch is his favorite game. His signature move is grabbing the toy, zooming into another room, then proudly trotting it back to his person. He does great with small dogs but hasn’t been tested with cats or large dogs yet. Linkin is still learning that men can be safe; he’s nervous around them but making steady progress. He’s especially warming up to Garrett, his foster dad, who has been the bringer of meals and treats. Sometimes he’ll growl when he’s unsure who’s approaching, but he relaxes as soon as he realizes it’s Garrett. Linkin is a world class cuddler who wants to be with his person as much as possible. He loves looking out the window and is usually quiet, though he’ll bark or howl at whatever catches his eye. He’s done well in a crate but also sleeps happily on the bed with the other dogs. Like any young pup, he’ll occasionally chew something he shouldn’t, but he listens when corrected. He’s smart, funny, affectionate, and just so much fun to have around. Linkin has been neutered, is current on vaccines has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Linkin, please complete an application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt). For more information, call/text Sandy 801-467-8610 or email svalentine46@gmail.com

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, my name is Audrey Faebelle. I am a very sweet and pretty little girl. I am just over a year old and about 12lbs. The shelter listed me as a chihuahua, but foster mom says I’m more likely a Rat Terrier mix. Either way, I am a very good girl and real catch of a dog! I currently live with several other dogs and I am great with all of them – big and small! I love to play with my dog friends, but I am also happy to play without them. Toys are my absolute favorite! I’m really hoping my forever family will have a fun toybox for me to dig through! I am a smart little lady, too! I learn things very quickly. I am good in my crate and have had zero potty accidents in the house. I’m also not much of a barker (I’m too busy playing, usually!) so that’s a nice thing about me, too! I am great with humans, though I haven’t met any small ones since I’ve been here. I have a sweet temperament, though, so we think any child over 8 would definitely be fine for me. If you think I could be the girl for you, apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplicationVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 15, 2026, 3:00 pm

Story
Meet Brittney Female DOB: June 06, 2023 Weight: 10 pounds Breed: Chihuahua Mix Spayed (Fixed) Vaccines: Up to Date Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Brittney is an incredibly sweet, loving, and affectionate little girl who thrives on human companionship. At 2 years old, she has the perfect balance of youthful energy and adult maturity. Her favorite place is wherever her people are, and she is happiest when she can be close to those she loves. Brittney has a gentle heart and a friendly personality that makes it easy to fall in love with her. She enjoys affection, cuddles, and spending quality time with her family. Whether she's joining you for a walk, relaxing on the couch, or simply following you around the house, Brittney is a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be part of your life. As a Chihuahua Mix, Brittney is likely to be intelligent, loyal, and deeply bonded to her family. Chihuahua mixes are known for their loving personalities and often form strong connections with their people. They thrive when included as part of the family and enjoy companionship, routine, and positive reinforcement. Brittney would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily companionship and interaction Continued training and guidance Mental stimulation and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine Plenty of love and affection A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend and loving shadow. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption. Like all rescue dogs, Brittney may need time to adjust to a new home and routine. Patience, consistency, and love will help her feel secure and allow her wonderful personality to shine. Brittney will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Exercise and mental stimulation Patience, consistency, and supervision Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, guidance, and commitment, dogs like Brittney blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Brittney will need: Daily walks, exercise, and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and weight management Mental stimulation and enrichment A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because of her smaller size, care should be taken around larger animals, rough play, and unsecured outdoor spaces. Brittney is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
