Story
Meet Princess Tiana: A Gentle Soul Looking for a Peaceful Home Princess Tiana is a delightful companion seeking a peaceful environment to call her own. This sweet girl thrives in a calm setting and would be most comfortable in a peaceful household away from city life. She’s completely crate trained and sleeps all night in her crate … soundly! While Tiana is a very sweet girl she also has a feisty side and will chew and can be a bit mouthy. Make sure to put those valuables up high out of her reach! Her foster mom is working with her on this behavior and she’s making great progress! Tiana could flourish in a home with another small to medium-sized dog that has a gentle play style. She loves to play chase with the resident dogs that are larger in size. She is respectful to the dogs that don't want to play. She is all legs and reminds us of a gazelle as she sprints across the yard! She is tolerant of cats and has experience living with them. On leash, Tiana walks gracefully with her nose to the ground, enjoying the scents of her surroundings. She maintains a steady pace by your side or slightly behind, making her an excellent companion for leisurely evening strolls. A home with a small yard would be great so she can venture around and get her sniffs in. Tiana loves to ride in the car. Her foster mom uses a harness system to keep her safe. She will usually curl up on the seat and sleep. During her touch test, Tiana displayed a calm and unbothered demeanor. She didn’t mind being touched and even allowed being held like a baby for a photo without hesitation. This sweet temperament extends to her interactions with people, where she maintains a gentle and independent demeanor. She would do well in a home with older kids that would respect her space when she needs it. With time she will sit and cuddle with you on the couch and enjoy some relaxing time at home. Princess Tiana is a loving dog who would thrive in a home with understanding adults or older children who respect her boundaries and appreciate her affectionate yet independent nature. With the right companionship and environment, Tiana promises to be a loyal and cherished member of her forever home. Email: kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions! Story
Lupita is all soft kisses and doe eyes. She’s a happy, beautiful and sweet little angel looking for a soft place to land. Lupita’s perfect home is a quiet, gentle and understanding one, where she can settle in surrounded by love. We believe that Lupita is a chihuahua mix of some sort, weighing in around 25 pounds and just under a year old. Lupita is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Watch Lupita here: https://youtu.be/Dd-3vNdVGEU?si=Qy4diL6K3wiR-VWz Lupita is currently fostered in a quiet home, with a couple and their three resident dogs. She gets along well with her canine companions, and would likely do well with a low to moderate energy playmate or two in her forever home. She plays, kisses and cuddles with her doggy foster siblings, and sleeps in bed with her foster family at night. She’s a polite and elegant little lady, in every way, but sometimes gets a little rough and tumble playing with her foster siblings! Here at the rescue, Lupita was cat tested. We believe that she is cat tolerant and could live with dog-savvy kitties. Sunbathing in the backyard or under the window, snuggling up in bed, and enthusiastically greeting her foster dad after a long day at work are some of Lupita’s favorite hobbies. Her absolute favorite thing to do is take walks with her foster mom, who reports that she’s wonderful on leash! Lupita loves to chew on squeaky toys and Nylabones, and her favorite treat is chicken. Lupita is so loving with her people, she loves to trot around the house after her foster mom, and can usually be found snuggled up with someone. She’s incredibly affectionate, and politely asks for pets often. Lupita will make the most loving and loyal companion dog. Adorable, affectionate and so polite, Lupita is the full package. If you have any specific questions about Lupita, please be in touch! We are willing to test Lupita with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Meet Landy, the 7-year-old chihuahua with a heart as spicy as his personality! Landy may be petite, but he’s big on cuddles and snuggles. This little guy thrives on cozying up with you under the covers—he’s an expert at turning your bed into his personal haven. While Landy’s energy level is more ‘homebody chic’ than ‘marathon runner,’ he’s always up for a good cuddle session or a lazy afternoon nap. Though he’s perfectly happy with a solo spotlight, he’s fine with sharing his space with other dogs, as long as they understand he’s the top dog when it comes to snuggling. Landy’s ideal family is one that appreciates his independence and respects his boundaries. He’s comfortable around teenagers who can give him space and understand that he has strong opinions about being picked up—if it’s not on his terms, it’s best to let him be. If you’re looking for a low-key, affectionate companion who will warm your heart and your bed, Landy is your guy. Come meet him and see how this little chihuahua can bring a world of love into your home! Meet Seattle Layla: Your Future Best Friend! If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy who’s also up for a bit of playful wrestling, Seattle Layla is the dog for you! Watch Seattle Layla's video here: https://youtu.be/tAi5IjVzP9I?feature=shared This adorable girl has a heart full of love and a tail that wags non-stop. Here’s why you’ll want to make her a part of your family: A Little About Seattle: Seattle is an adorable 5 year old girl, weighing 15 pounds. We think she is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, but we are not sure so we just call her our Texas Special, the very best breed. She is being fostered with 2 other small dogs. The Cutest Thing About Seattle: Seattle absolutely adores cuddling and loves to playfully wrestle with your hands. She’s a total sweetheart that loves affection. She loves to wrestle with your hands! Potty Trained: Yes! Seattle is potty trained and uses a doggie door like a pro. Crate Trained: Absolutely. She goes right into her crate when told, sleeps soundly all night, and is very comfortable in her space. Home Behavior: Seattle is an affectionate companion who follows you everywhere. She’s very comfortable around the house and has great manners. Energy Level: Moderate. She’s active and loves adventures, but she’s also content to chill and cuddle with you. Social Skills: Seattle is confident on car rides and enjoys the journey. She’s friendly with other dogs one-on-one, especially enjoying playful wrestling with Rainier, another small dog in the house.. She does get a bit vocal when new people arrive but is quick to settle once she recognizes you. Play Style: While she enjoys playing with other dogs individually, several other larger dogs at once could be overwhelming for her. Affectionate Nature: Seattle shows her love with sweet neck and arm hugs and is extremely cuddly. She loves to be close to you but will also find her own cozy spot when she's tired. Car Behavior: She is a great travel buddy and would love to join you for morning coffee runs or late night ice cream treats. Leash Manners: Seattle walks well on a leash, but she can be a bit barky at first when passing other dogs. Training and Tricks: Seattle is very food motivated, making her a quick learner. She knows "sit" and can give her paw on command. Living Situation: Seattle can adapt to both houses with yards or apartments with proper exercise. She would prefer to have another dog for company but can also be happy as the only dog with some adjustment. Adventure Level: She loves going on adventures but be cautious as she can be a bit of a runner. She is little, so if you want a hiking buddy she will need to ride in a dog purse or backpack. Kids and Cats: Seattle does not have experience with kids or cats but has been great with other dogs. If you have little ones or cats in your life, we can cat and kid test her. We are sure she will pass! Confidence: Seattle might be a bit shy at first, but her loving and cuddly nature will win you over in no time. Ready to meet your new best friend? Seattle is waiting to bring joy, cuddles, and a bit of playful mischief into your life! We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Say hello to Pippa Bambi, a fabulous 10-month-old bundle of joy weighing in at a perfect 20 lbs.! This adorable Chihuahua-Lab mix (we think! It's always a guess with rescue!) is bursting with personality and ready to steal your heart! Whether it’s zoomies around the house or agile leaps around the house, Pippa is always on the move and loves to keep things lively. Pippa adores children and is the perfect playmate for them, sharing endless puppy kisses and snuggles. From day one, she claimed the comfiest spots on the couch and beds at her foster home – because why settle for less when you can have the best? Watch out! Pippa loves to grab her squeaky toys from the basket and sneak a treat or two when no one's looking. Whether it’s a movie night or binge-watching your favorite series, Pippa loves to chill and keep you company. Pippa is working on her crate and potty training, but with her intelligence and eagerness to please, she’s picking it up in no time! Good on leash and knows her way up and down stairs, Pippa is ready for all your adventures together. Pippa is working on her car manners- she's doing pretty good, but she prefers to call shotgun! Having bonded deeply with her foster family after being rescued from an overfull shelter, Pippa thrives on being where the people are and forming strong connections. Pippa prefers canine company and human cuddles – she’s all about those puppy kisses and heartfelt bonds- so no kitties for her! She is a fan of other pups though! Pippa loves to zoom around the yard (or house), showing off her playful energy and keeping everyone entertained. But she’s also got a gentle, sensitive side that needs a bit of extra care. Pippa will thrive in a home that’s committed to giving her the time, patience, and love she needs to adjust and feel comfortable. A calm, quiet space and slow decompression will help her come out of her shell and feel safe in her new surroundings. She’ll do best with older kids who can understand her need for space and respect her journey as she settles in. Once she’s feeling secure, she’ll be your ultimate cuddle buddy, ready to share zoomies, snuggles, and endless fun! Ready to add a sweet and sassy sidekick to your life? Pippa Bambi is waiting to bring endless love, laughter, and a little bit of playful mischief into your home. Adopt Pippa today and let the adventures begin! 🏡💕 Application Link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/66c3778c9098b079f6066654 Please email kathleen@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO, UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $825.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space.
