Story
**Fostered in Mercer Island, WA and ready for meet and greets!** Meet Michaelangelo Ninja Turtle! 🥷🐢🐶 This sweet boy is soooo people-loving, sweet, cat-tolerant, dog friendly and adorably itty bitty! He is currently about 20 pounds and 5 months old. One of his siblings took a DNA test, revealing they may be an adorable mix of Chihuahua, Pomeranian, and so much more! He’s on the smaller side, and he has the cutest little Corgi-esque sausage body. Fall in love with Michaelangelo here: https://youtu.be/qYsVH6R_U7c?si=6BOIDMfuIbkdeWx9 Like his namesake, Michaelangelo is the fun-loving and playful! In new places, he can be a bit shy and slow to open up, he will need some time to decompress before showing off his playful personality. This happy guy will definitely get the party started with his playfulness and confidence. Michaelangelo is one clever pup – he knows just how to distract his brother to get the toy he wants, and he’s not afraid to play the long game, lol. Michaelangelo also has a sweet and calm side to him, and he will likely love couch snuggles with his forever family. Michaelangelo loves treats and toys – soft stuffies or chew toys, this little fellow will enjoy them all. He shares well with other dogs, too! You will have just as much fun as him, because it is so entertaining to watch him play with his whole heart. Michaelangelo rolls over and crashes out often because nothing will keep this tiny guy down! We love his fun and joyful personality, but there is nothing better than the kisses and snuggles this puppy delivers – also with his whole heart. Michaelangelo loves people and kids of all ages, and loves to play with his brothers and larger foster siblings too. Michaelangelo is fully potty trained and already learning many new commands from his loving foster home. Here at the rescue, Michaelangelo was cat tested and showed himself to be cat-tolerant! We believe he could live with dog-savvy kitties, see his cat test for yourself in his video. Michaelangelo is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. We believe that he could do well in just about any home, and would do best with a moderately playful doggy sibling to keep him company. Go Ninja, Go Ninja, Go! 🥷 You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Adoption Application Questions? Story
Meet Princess Tiana: A Gentle Soul Looking for a Peaceful Home Princess Tiana is a delightful companion seeking a peaceful environment to call her own. This sweet girl thrives in a calm setting and would be most comfortable in a peaceful household away from city life. She’s completely crate trained and sleeps all night in her crate … soundly! Tiana could flourish in a home with another small to medium-sized dog that has a gentle play style. She loves to play chase with the resident dogs that are larger in size. She is respectful to the dogs that don't want to play. She is all legs and reminds us of a gazelle as she sprints across the yard! She is tolerant of cats and has experience living with them. On leash, Tiana walks gracefully with her nose to the ground, enjoying the scents of her surroundings. She maintains a steady pace by your side or slightly behind, making her an excellent companion for leisurely evening strolls. A home with a small yard would be great so she can venture around and get her sniffs in. Tiana loves to ride in the car. Her foster mom uses a harness system to keep her safe. She will usually curl up on the seat and sleep. During her touch test, Tiana displayed a calm and unbothered demeanor. She didn’t mind being touched and even allowed being held like a baby for a photo without hesitation. This sweet temperament extends to her interactions with people, where she maintains a gentle and independent demeanor. She would do well in a home with adults or older kids that would respect her space when she needs it. With time she will sit and cuddle with you on the couch and enjoy some relaxing time at home. Princess Tiana is a loving dog who would thrive in a home with understanding adults or older children who respect her boundaries and appreciate her affectionate yet independent nature. With the right companionship and environment, Tiana promises to be a loyal and cherished member of her forever home. Email: kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions! Story
Meet Lupita, a sweet Chihuahua mix who’s looking for a patient and loving forever home. Lupita recently came in for an assessment, and while she’s still very shy and in need of time to adjust, we believe she has the potential to be a deeply loyal companion. https://youtu.be/6H_BJgl8dv0?feature=shared She’s currently learning to walk on a leash and has done well with her foster. She’s also been introduced to a cat and she was avoidant during the test. She could live in a home with cats. Luisa’s foster mom reports she loves her walks! She also loves playing with her one year old foster sister. She’d love a doggy companion to spend her days with. They play all day. This girl is very gentle and loving. She loves to cuddle with her humans! Once Lupita bonds with her person, she will form a deep and lasting connection. She will seek out affection and reassurance, finding her safe space with the person she trusts. In time, she may also bond with a dog companion, especially one with a moderately playful or low energy level. Lupita is looking for a gentle, patient adopter who understands that she will need time to open up. She’s not a dog for a first-time dog owner, but for someone with experience and a calm environment, Lupita could become the most loving and loyal companion. If you have the patience and love to give her the time she needs, Lupita will reward you with a bond like no other. Story
Meet Landy, the 7-year-old chihuahua with a heart as spicy as his personality! Landy may be petite, but he’s big on cuddles and snuggles. This little guy thrives on cozying up with you under the covers—he’s an expert at turning your bed into his personal haven. While Landy’s energy level is more ‘homebody chic’ than ‘marathon runner,’ he’s always up for a good cuddle session or a lazy afternoon nap. Though he’s perfectly happy with a solo spotlight, he’s fine with sharing his space with other dogs, as long as they understand he’s the top dog when it comes to snuggling. Landy’s ideal family is one that appreciates his independence and respects his boundaries. He’s comfortable around teenagers who can give him space and understand that he has strong opinions about being picked up—if it’s not on his terms, it’s best to let him be. If you’re looking for a low-key, affectionate companion who will warm your heart and your bed, Landy is your guy. Come meet him and see how this little chihuahua can bring a world of love into your home! Meet Seattle Layla: Your Future Best Friend! If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy who’s also up for a bit of playful wrestling, Seattle Layla is the dog for you! Watch Seattle Layla's video here: https://youtu.be/tAi5IjVzP9I?feature=shared This adorable girl has a heart full of love and a tail that wags non-stop. Here’s why you’ll want to make her a part of your family: A Little About Seattle: Seattle is an adorable 5 year old girl, weighing 15 pounds. We think she is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, but we are not sure so we just call her our Texas Special, the very best breed. She is being fostered with 2 other small dogs. The Cutest Thing About Seattle: Seattle absolutely adores cuddling and loves to playfully wrestle with your hands. She’s a total sweetheart that loves affection. She loves to wrestle with your hands! Potty Trained: Yes! Seattle is potty trained and uses a doggie door like a pro. Crate Trained: Absolutely. She goes right into her crate when told, sleeps soundly all night, and is very comfortable in her space. Home Behavior: Seattle is an affectionate companion who follows you everywhere. She’s very comfortable around the house and has great manners. Energy Level: Moderate. She’s active and loves adventures, but she’s also content to chill and cuddle with you. Social Skills: Seattle is confident on car rides and enjoys the journey. She’s friendly with other dogs one-on-one, especially enjoying playful wrestling with Rainier, another small dog in the house.. She does get a bit vocal when new people arrive but is quick to settle once she recognizes you. Play Style: While she enjoys playing with other dogs individually, several other larger dogs at once could be overwhelming for her. Affectionate Nature: Seattle shows her love with sweet neck and arm hugs and is extremely cuddly. She loves to be close to you but will also find her own cozy spot when she's tired. Car Behavior: She is a great travel buddy and would love to join you for morning coffee runs or late night ice cream treats. Leash Manners: Seattle walks well on a leash, but she can be a bit barky at first when passing other dogs. Training and Tricks: Seattle is very food motivated, making her a quick learner. She knows "sit" and can give her paw on command. Living Situation: Seattle can adapt to both houses with yards or apartments with proper exercise. She would prefer to have another dog for company but can also be happy as the only dog with some adjustment. Adventure Level: She loves going on adventures but be cautious as she can be a bit of a runner. She is little, so if you want a hiking buddy she will need to ride in a dog purse or backpack. Kids and Cats: Seattle does not have experience with kids or cats but has been great with other dogs. If you have little ones or cats in your life, we can cat and kid test her. We are sure she will pass! Confidence: Seattle might be a bit shy at first, but her loving and cuddly nature will win you over in no time. Ready to meet your new best friend? Seattle is waiting to bring joy, cuddles, and a bit of playful mischief into your life! From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 25% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 14,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
This cutie is Rosemary. She is currently 3 pounds, 7 weeks old, and we think she may be a Chihuahua mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Rosemary's video here: Rosemary is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She loves to play with her siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat - such is puppy life! Rosemary is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, she will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/66c36ad90a963e4fac04d7bb Please email tim@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space.
