Story
Meet Woofgang Puck, or just Puck for short! This lovable 8-year-old Chihuahua mix is a little bundle of joy, possibly with a sprinkle of Beagle in his genes. At first, Puck may come off as shy, but give him a moment, and his playful side will shine like a star! Puck adores his toys and loves to get into some light-hearted trouble—just picture him as the life of the party! He enjoys his naps, but don’t let him miss out on the fun; after all, who wants to snooze through an adventure? He loves being outside, but keep an eye on him—if the yard isn’t secure, he might go on his own mini explorations. And be careful! If a door is left open, he’s ready to dash out! When it comes to other dogs, Puck needs a little help. He has a tendency to “assist” them with their meals, which can be quite annoying. His friendly greetings can be a bit much—he barks, jumps, and wags his tail enthusiastically, which may confuse his canine pals. With some training, he can learn to tone it down. He’s also learning how to handle his protective instincts, but if you have other pets, be prepared to guide him through it. Puck is quite the jumper when he’s excited and might unexpectedly leap onto you, giving playful nips at your legs! He listens when corrected but often forgets the rules once the fun starts again. While he’s crate trained, Puck feels much more comfortable snoozing on a cozy bed rather than being confined to a crate. Sleeping in your bed isn’t something he’s into just yet. The good news is, he’s house trained and will let you know when it’s time to go out. Puck does have a heart murmur and takes medication twice a day for it. He can get a bit anxious, especially when being picked up or during car rides, and sitting on laps isn’t really his scene. This sweet boy is looking for a forever home filled with love, patience, and understanding. With your support, Puck will be ready for short hikes and exciting adventures with his favorite human! Puck has been neutered, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. He also had a recent dental and lost a few teeth. Story
Hi, I’m Nora! I’m a 6-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix with a BIG personality and an even bigger heart. I love to make an entrance—whether I’m zooming down the hallway or running in and out of the house, you’ll hear me coming! My tail is usually wagging, and I’m always excited to see my people. When playtime is over, I’m a total snuggle bug and would be very happy curled up next to you on the couch. I’m loyal to the core and once I choose my person, you’re my person forever. I can be a little sassy (okay, maybe a lot), but that’s part of my charm. I also LOVE toys—seriously, I’ve built quite the collection and I’m very proud of it. I get along with other dogs, though I can be a bit bossy at times. I don’t have to be an only pup, but I do best with dog-savvy humans who understand that small dogs can have big feelings. I’m very protective of my people and just want to keep them safe. Cats? Well… I think they’re fun to chase, so I’d probably prefer a home without them (or with cats who can stand their ground). The good news? I’m crate trained, house trained, great on a leash, spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped—and I just had a dental, so my smile is sparkling. If you’re looking for a sweet, spunky, toy-loving cuddle buddy with loads of personality, I might be your girl. I promise to love you fiercely and keep life entertaining. If you are interested in adopting Nora, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt). Story
Meet King Julian, a 10-year-old Chihuahua who is ready to rule your heart (and sturdiest windowsill). With a look that suggests he was “put back together by memory,” Julian is a unique masterpiece of senior charm and goofy affection. The Neighborhood Watch: Julian takes his royal duties seriously. He will spend his afternoons perched on the window sill, keeping a close eye on the neighbors and waiting persistently for his favorite person to return home. Toothless & Tender: Our King recently had all his teeth removed, but that hasn’t dimmed his smile one bit! He is incredibly snuggly and loves to show off his happy grin. A mixed diet of kibble and pate would please his lordship greatly. The “Jenga” Shake: He sports a classic Chihuahua tremor that makes him look like a Jenga player pulling out a precarious win-or-lose piece. It’s just part of his tiny, vibrating charm! Social Standing: Julian is a diplomat. He is friendly with other dogs and largely indifferent to cats, though he’d certainly appreciate being the “final and favorite heir” to your throne. King Julian is a work in progress when it comes to his palace manners.” He is currently working on potty training and has a tendency to mark, so he needs a patient human who can help him stay on track. Ready to serve your new King? Julian has integrated beautifully into an established household and is just looking for a permanent lap to call his own. Julien has been neutered is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. Story
Meet Harvey: The Menace on Bird Legs Are you ready for the ultimate pint-sized hurricane? Meet Harvey, a 6-month-old Chihuahua mix who is equal parts sweet puppy and absolute menace on bird legs. If he had a theme song, it would be "Trouble" by Elvis. Why You’ll Love Him: • The "Alligator" Phase: Harvey has a bit of an alligator spirit! He’s currently exploring the world with his teeth, so bring your A-game (and your toughest chew toys) to keep him occupied. • Potty Pro-in-Training: This little guy is doing a fantastic job with his house manners. He’s mastering the potty pad, but as a young pup, he needs a patient mentor to help these habits stick. • Friendly but Feisty: Harvey loves his human and dog companions! He’s a social butterfly, though he needs a little "warm-up" time to make new canine friends. He’s indifferent to cats, but let’s be real: your resident cat might not appreciate this high-energy whippersnapper’s zest for life quite as much as he does! The Perfect Fit: Because Harvey is a delicate, petite pup, we are looking for a home without small children. He would thrive with an energetic canine best friend who has the patience to handle his wild puppy antics. Harvey is in a major learning phase; with consistent guidance and plenty of toys to gnaw on, he is destined to become the best boy. Think you can handle the mischief? Harvey is ready to bring his chaotic charm into your life. Are you ready to be his patient, energetic mentor? Harvey has been neutered, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. Story
Have you ever thought, “I really wish I had a buddy in the bathroom”? Or maybe you’ve wanted someone to help you stay accountable by “taste testing” when you cook a little too much. Perhaps you’ve dreamed of a heated eye mask. Well… meet Tyra, because this tiny girl is ready to be all of that and more. Tyra is a 4 month old spunky shadow who believes personal space is a myth. If you think she’s close, she’s positive she can get closer. She’s happiest glued to her people and is hoping her forever family might be you. Because she’s smaller than a house cat, the world can feel a little scary, and right now she expresses that by telling you all about it. She’ll need a home ready to help her build confidence and continue her training so she can grow into her bravest, best self. Tyra is working hard on potty training, thriving on a schedule, and learning to sleep in her kennel at night. She currently lives with a dog, a cat, and a kiddo—she loves everyone, but she’d prefer a home without cats. Trust her, she’s convinced they’re up to something. Dog savvy kids are best since she’s still learning manners and believes kisses are a love language. If you’ve got confidence to spare and want a devoted best friend who will follow you anywhere, Tyra is your girl. Tyra has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Tyra, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt). For more information, call/text Cathy at 801-598-0771 or email cv-sandy@hotmail.com

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I am Kabocha, but my friends call me Cubby! I am a Pug mix who is 9 months old I currently weigh about 17 pounds and should top out at about 20 pounds. I will need to rely on my family to help me keep my stellar figure. I am a little shy and would do best in a household with no kids, that does not mean they cannot visit...though I may be more comfortable in me crate while they are there. I am a quiet type of guy who needs a minute or two around a lot of activity. I like to go on walks and enjoy playing with dog friends. Maybe if I have a confident dog friend, they can show me the ropes. Right now, I have a lot of friends I love them! I don’t love the cat I live with, he seems like he owns the place. I love to snuggle my people once I feel comfortable with you, you will think I am a paper weight on your lap. I am house and crate trained in fact my crate is my favorite place. Sometimes when the door is shut, I know I need to go exploring. I need you to encourage this. My fosters say I have a story. I'm not sure what that means, but I guess they'll tell you about it.
