Story
Teenie Weenie Beanie is a tiny 4 lb male Chihuahua, who is only 1.5 years old. He is so TINY! He is gorgeous! He is the ULTIMATE VELCRO DOG and purse dog. He truly yearns to be with you at all times. His favorite thing is being held and staring in your eyes. He is looking for his ride-or-die soul mate. He looks like a show dog, perfectly proportioned, short torso, and gorgeous coat. He is extremely loyal to his person but, sadly, does not seem to like males, not even male children, he only likes females. His ideal adopter would be a female who wants a 24/7 companion in life, who can take him with her wherever she goes, or who works from home. He likes to play with other small dogs in his foster home and loves having a doggie pack as long as he gets most of the attention from his mom, and lots of quality one on one time. He is a character! He would like to have a tiny doggie friend at his new home. He has big emotions. He will squeak, cry, and wail for you if you leave him or are near him and dont pick him up. He loves hard and he will stick with his person in good times and bad, till death do you part. He is a Romeo looking for his Juliet. Are you Teenie Weenie Beanie's soulmate? Tiny Chihuahuas often live to be 16 years old, so we estimate he has another 14+ years left in him. So, he is looking for someone to be his best friend for a long, long time. He is potty trained, but is working on not marking. He has a habit of marking a couple of spots in the kitchen and hasn't broken this habit yet. He is fully vetted and likes to go on walks with his comfort harness. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Harvey is a super special senior who is looking for his super special humans. At about 10 years old, Harvey is old enough to know what he likes - eating and napping! - and what he doesn't - being touched unless it's his idea. Harvey can be a nervous guy around big dogs and new people, we haven't seen him around cats and he shouldn't live with children. Harvey comes by his hesitation honestly, he likely lived a life of neglect and finally abandonment before coming to CAWS and didn't get all the love and care a dog should receive. We're dedicated to changing that now! We know Harvey's people are out there - someone who will allow him to climb onto your lap when he's ready for cuddles, and someone who won't hold his tendency to snap when he feels threatened against him. Harvey has Cushing's disease and thyroid issues, and will require lifelong medication and dedicated care. Harvey does bark, so he'd do better in a house than an apartment with shared walls. If you think you have the big heart to give Harvey the life he deserves, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Harvey's adoption fee is $100. Story
Hi friends! My name is Paco Taco and I’m a 4 yr. old, 7lb Chihuahua. I’m attached to my foster sister Rosey and would love a home for us both. I have a fun and playful disposition. I love to run and play with my foster sister. I’m full of energy and will do good with other dogs and kids. I walk good on my leash and would love walks to burn off some of my energy. I would do great with a big yard to run around and play in. I am crate trained and sleep through the night. I use the doggy door to go out and potty. I love to give lots of love and snuggles especially at the end of the day when I have worn myself out. I’m a little skittish when being picked up but sweet and don’t snap or bite.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Paco Taco & Rosita Chiquita's Adoption fee is $350 together. Story
Chiquita means ''little gift'' and this little girl is just that. At 9 years old and 5.9 lbs-she is the easiest dog you'll ever own. She's tiny, timid, sweet, potty trained, quiet (unless you leave her, then she cries-I've watched her on my ring camera). She is from New Mexico and was surrendered when her mom got put in a nursing home and the family didn't want to take care of her. She loves all people, but is scared of big dogs. She does not like to be held. She just wants a warm place to curl up and snuggle. She loves belly and head scratches. Walks are okay, but because of her age and size, not necessary. She does good on a leash. She gives the softest little kisses, but she has rotten teeth. CAWS has graciously offered to pay for her dental work to be done, which is scheduled for Nov 29 at 8:30 am at Angel Paws in Murray, UT. Her adopter will have to commit to getting her to this appt as it CANNOT be missed. She is a picky eater, but it's most likely because her teeth are hurting her, so this dental appointment is very important. I am willing to pick her up and take her if needed. No shared walls since she cries when left. Older, dog savvy kids because she is so small. Can you give this sweet girl a nice, loving home to live out her senior years? If you would like to meet Chiquita, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application.
