Don’t cry Uncle… just call Uncle!Meet Uncle, a 1-year-old 11# Chihuahua mix who recently made the trip up from Alabama after being rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation alongside his sister. Thankfully, rescue stepped in and gave these pups the fresh start they deserved. With that being said he had to scrounge for food since it wasn't always readily available, so can still have the small dog mentality towards other dogs. But given some time he could do wonderful with another dog friend to the right home to make sure he is corrected. Uncle never really had the chance to just be a puppy. Most of his early life was spent outside, without toys, comfy beds, or much attention. Now that he’s safe, he’s making up for lost time! Toys are his absolute favorite. This sweet little guy is quiet, loving, and happiest when he’s close to his person. Cats are still a learning experience for him, but with a little patience and correction, he continues to improve. Uncle also seems to have developed a taste for people food and may try to sneak a bite if given the opportunity, oops!But the biggest thing Uncle is likely to steal… is your heart. Meet Sunshine! This beautiful 3-year-old girl found herself at the shelter through no fault of her own, and she is officially ready to find her ultimate forever couch. Sunshine can be a little vocal when meeting someone new, but don`t let that fool you—she warms up incredibly fast! Once you become her friend, she flips a switch and showers you with nothing but pure love, affection, and loyalty. When it comes to other dogs, Sunshine loves to play! She would do best in a home with dogs her own size or slightly bigger. Because she has never lived with cats before, we aren`t quite sure how she would do with a feline friend. This smart girl is used to having company and hasn`t been left alone for very long periods, but she is naturally quiet and calm when you do have to step out. She is also a total rockstar on walks, showing off excellent leash manners wherever she goes. Sunshine is already trained to use potty pads and has never needed to use a crate. Her favorite hobbies include going for walks, playing with her canine pals, and soaking up all the human company she can get. Best of all, Sunshine is happy, healthy, and fully vetted! She is already spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on her flea/tick preventatives. She is also fully vaccinated, including Rabies, Bordetella, and Canine Distemper.
