Story
Name: Butch - Sponsored adoption Fee- fence required Age:  8 years Breed:  chi mix Gender:  Male Weight:  14 pounds Good with kids:  Probably not as he is very scared of fast movement Good with dogs:  YES! Good with cats:  YES! Current on vaccinations: Yes Fixed: Yes Adoption also includes Certified Vet Inspection, and prior vetting paperwork.   Foster location:  Iola, wi Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html   Bio:   Meet Butch!    Butch made the trip from TX with a few of his friends that were all part of a horrific hoarding case that also involved a fire. Due to this trauma, he is learning what safety means and feels like. He is slow to warm up to humans, but instant friends with canines. Due to this, it will be imperative for Butch to get a forever home with a dog who can help him feel comfortable.    Butch has been making huge strides in his foster home! Due to his past trauma, his decompression time has been a bit longer than most. Every day he gets a little more comfortable with humans. He will need a patient human who will take things at Butch's pace AND a doggie friend to show him his human is safe!    Butch is a submissive boy to his canine friends. There has been no food aggression. He was the perfect gentleman to a tiny kitten his foster watched over night. He has been perfect with a consistent potty schedule. He sleeps in bed with his foster family every night and snores like a freight train.    Butch still gets spooked by fast movement but then realizes he is safe and comes right back for reassuring scritches on the chin! Butch seems to be very hard of hearing, but not fully deaf which may contribute to his startling.   If you have patience and a dog looking for a friend, apply today! Butch is waiting to meet you!!   Our Pack Animal Rescue,  Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. An approved application does not mean you must adopt the dog of interest if it isn't a good fit.    August 19, 2026, 10:46 am

Story
Name: Calvin Age: 6 months Breed: chi mix Gender: male Weight: 9 pounds Good with kids: unknown Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: unknown Current on vaccinations: Yes Fixed: Yes Adoption also includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork. Foster location: Green Bay Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio: Resilience has a face, and you’re looking at it!  This youngster recently had cherry eye repair, and a leg amputated! Calvin was found with his rear right femoral head fractured. We don’t know how it happened, but he is getting around without issue! He can even do the couple steps on his foster’s deck unassisted! He enjoys playing in the yard with other dogs, and has had no trouble adapting to the tri- pawed life! His gait will always look a little different, but its part of his charm! Calvin can be just a smidge shy initially, but is a very happy little guy once he realizes he is safe. He settles nicely in his crate, and has been doing wonderful with pottying outside. Unfortunately, he was stuck wearing the cone of shame on arrival- and he can be pretty spicy with it being put back on when its been off or other dogs creeping up from behind if he doesn’t see them coming. Once again, reassurance and some chill time will get him through his stressors. He has a healthy appetite and is doing very well with pottying outside.  He has been wonderful in his crate, and does not take issue with adults picking him up, or even bathing him and cleaning his ears. His thoughts on cats are unknown, and very small children are not recommended as housemates.  Calvin is ready to trust for someone willing to give him reasons to do so ❤️ Our Pack Animal Rescue,  Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. An approved application does not require you to adopt the dog of interest, if it is not a match.August 19, 2026, 10:46 am

Story
Name: Sadie Age: 3 years Breed: chi mix Gender: female Weight: 12.5 lbs Good with kids: yes, would do best with the older variety though Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: yes Current on vaccinations: Yes Fixed: Yes Adoption also includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork. Foster location: Green Bay Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio: There is one dog from the fire hoarding case whose story is a little different. Sadie was saved in 2025 with the others who began arriving last year and those who joined us recently. Rather than going to a sanctuary, or being fostered for a short time in TX prior to traveling she remained in her caring southern foster home for about a year. Sadie is very timid, but a very nice dog. Sadie requires a fenced yard, and while we continue to work with her she is afraid of the leash. Sadie often hides. In the pantry, in the bathroom, etc though she spends more time with the humans as time goes on. If its thundering she’ll be right there looking for comfort- or if you are going to bed she’ll make her move, and join you. Sleeping with her humans helps her to come out of her shell. She has done well with company coming to her quiet foster home, which was a pleasant surprise. Sadie will not be a dog for a first time adopter. She will require patience, and dedication to helping her build confidence. While she is scared of loud noises, new experiences, etc- she merely hides/cowers. She has never attempted to nip her foster parents and accepts pets and being picked up. Sadie enjoys the company of other dogs, but is a sophisticated lady and will growl if any energetic canines try to play chase.  To be frank- its going to take time, but when you’re talking forever- there plenty of that!
