Story
Meet Cecelia Rose 🌹 Cecelia is an adorable 11-year-old Chihuahua with a playful and quirky personality. Her signature move? A happy little twirl whenever she gets excited! She skips her way outside and back in, bringing joy with every step. While she’s not a full-time lap dog, she will check in with her person for some affection. • Age: 11 years • Breed: Chihuahua • Health: Up-to-date on all appropriate vaccines, spayed & recent dental procedure. • Training: Crate and potty pad trained, but she’ll happily go outside when the weather is warm. Ideal Home: Cecelia would thrive in a patient home that understands the needs of a senior dog and is willing to give her the time she needs to adjust. Cecelia takes several weeks to months to get comfortable in a new environment, but once she does, her true goofy and loving personality shines. A house with minimal or no stairs would be perfect for her little legs. Compatibility: Cecelia might get along with other small dogs and possibly even cats (she acts like one herself!). She really just ignores other animals for the most part. She’s best suited to a calm home without young, large dogs or young children, as her senior status means she enjoys a more laid-back vibe. If you’re looking for a sweet, quirky companion who will twirl, skip, and snuggle her way into your heart, Cecelia is your girl! Apply to adopt Cecelia here: https://linktr.ee/uudogrescue

Story
I was found as a stray, wandering the open roads when some nice people found me and brought me to the shelter. I am a small, friendly dude and like everyone at the shelter including other dogs and humans, just no cats please!! They think I am potty trained and lived in a home at some point. I do have a ‘cherry eye’ which is where my eyelid is slight enlarged, but the vet said it doesn’t bother me and would only need to be fixed for cosmetic reasons. I am a chill dude and love to take naps. am a good boy and would like to find a forever home of my own! Can you help me? We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is a summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 1/7/25 Litter Name: Coffee Litter Estimated Date of Birth: Nov 6-10, 2024 Dog Name: Mocha Sex: Male Neuter needed Estimated Breed Mix: Chihuahua mix  Approximate Age: 6.5 weeks Approximate Weight: 2.5 lbs Adoption Fee: $550 Description: These tiny chihuahua mix boys are looking for their forever homes. These boys are so small and cuddly, they are going to be amazing lap dogs who will keep you smiling with their adorable personalities! This trio has soft coats, shorty legs and expressive eyes! They are just so sweet! The Coffee Litter can go home with their furever families after January 17th!  We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. January 7, 2025, 8:55 pm
