She was discovered at a vet's office looking for rescue help with we believe her sister Peppers. Both of these young girls were pregnant, yes at their young age. But now after having their babies and getting fully vetted she is ready to find her very own forever family to love. She is a friendly girl who just needs a bit to settle in and know the world is safe. Then she is all cute butt wiggles/zoomies and has a zest for life. She has been working on her house manners and leash manners but just needs a little bit to master is all. She will be here on Feb 1st and cannot wait to find her very own forever family. She is NOT required to be spayed! Marley is a good dog, she loves walks and playing with toys. She is 10 years old and spunky, no aches or whines, may bark a bit but she really just needs to be picked up and pet, then she stops. She doesn't usually bark a lot at home, just if someone visits and hasn't pet her yet. She would probably prefer a quiet house without other pets since she seems to think she is top dog, typical little dog syndrome. She has become skittish of the little people visiting my house. She would never bite anyone, she is super sweet 🧁! She will hide under the couch though. Marley is potty pad trained but will use outdoors for bathroom as well. She prefers pads in the winter. Her motivation is treats. She is kennel trained and has recently spent a lot of time in it.... Hence the need to rehomed. It's just not fair for her to be in it so long. We only give her Reverse Osmosis water and she eats pedigree food, not expensive.

Hi there, I’m Peanut. I may be a senior Chihuahua, but I still enjoy little bursts of energy before happily settling in to relax with my people. I’m a big fan of calm days, cozy spots, and good company. I was surrendered to the shelter for having accidents in the house. That being said, I’ll do best with someone who understands that I may always need a bit of extra management and patience in that area. A consistent routine and realistic expectations will help me feel comfortable and set up for success! As you can see, I am a little... round. I would love to have a home that can give me the exercise - and maybe limit the treats - so that I can live my senior days happily and healthily! I’ve previously lived with other dogs and cats and did well with them. I prefer a quieter home and would be happiest with older, respectful children who will give me space when I need it. I’m not demanding — I just appreciate kindness and a gentle approach. I think I’d be a great match for a retired person or a calm couple looking for a loving, low-key companion.
