Story
This little 9# cutie is Dakota-he is around 6 years old. Gets along fine with dogs, but does not like them to get in his face, he sort of just stays to himself. Likes women a lot but does not trust men until he gets to know them real well. Likes children that are calmer and even smaller ones. Heartworm negative and neutered. Crates really well and sleeps all night. It is his safe quiet place so will go there on his own when he wants. He is being fed wet food mixed with dry, will not just eat dry since his previous owner fed him table food. He is a sweet little lap dog for someone who likes to sit with you and also lay on the back of my couch and nap. Walks well on a leash and does fine with car rides. Will go for walks and ride in a doggie stroller. Great for baths, grooming and nails also. Gave me kisses the entire time. He is now ready to find his very own furever family. An online application can be found at SandiPaws.org for this cutieThank you for your interest in a Sandi Paws Rescue, Inc. Please visit our site at sandipaws.org for more information on our organization or to fill out an application to adopt one of our pets. You can find information for volunteering on our site as well.

Meet Patty & Tilly – Bonded Sisters Looking for a Forever Home!Patty and Tilly are two sweet, spunky chihuahuas who found themselves in a difficult situation. Rescued from a large-scale dog hoarding case in Wisconsin, these adorable sisters are ready to begin their next chapter in a loving and patient home. Both Patty and Tilly are spayed, fully vetted, and have had extensive dental work due to the neglect they faced in their past. As a result, they will need to stay on a soft-food diet for the rest of their lives, but that doesn’t stop them from being full of love! While they’re still learning how to enjoy life as happy, healthy dogs, Patty and Tilly thrive in a calm environment where they can feel safe and secure. They are best suited for a home with other dogs their size, as larger dogs can be overwhelming for them. A quieter household with older or young adult children would be ideal, as younger kids may be too much for these shy girls to handle.Patty and Tilly are bonded sisters who have grown so close over time, and they would love to continue to be together in a forever home where they can continue their journey of healing. If you’re ready to give these precious girls the second chance they truly deserve, please visit eastshoreha.org to submit an application.Once approved, our staff will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet – just a reminder, Patty and Tilly are in foster care, so please don’t visit the shelter without an appointment. We can`t wait to see these sweet girls find the loving home they`ve been waiting for!

Story
I was found as a stray, wandering the open roads when some nice people found me and brought me to the shelter. I was brought to Wisconsin on 1/10/25 with Mutt Life Dog Rescue and have been living in a foster home since! My foster mom says I am a huge snuggle bug and my purpose in life is to be a lap dog! I love warm blankets and soft couches, put on a good movie and I'm all in! I do also love going for walks to the lake with my foster family and hanging out on the beach. I also like to play with my big foster brother and we have fun romping around the backyard. I am potty trained and crate trained. I love the kids in my foster home and am nice to new people who come over. I guess I am an all around good guy who would be good for any family or someone wanting a low energy companion. My only issue is I do not get along with cats! I do have a ‘cherry eye’ which is where my eyelid is slight enlarged, but the vet said it doesn’t bother me and would only need to be fixed for cosmetic reasons. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is a summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. Story
Cosmos is a 9 month old chiweenie mix. He is a very shy at first and likes to be independent, but when he's ready to calm down he loves to snuggle up with the other dogs right by his foster mommas legs. He loves to play with toys and is very food motivated! He does well with other dogs, is a little nervous around young kids, but with time, patience, and lots of yummy treats he will make a great new addition to someone's family. Will probably do best with another confident dog to help show him things are ok, and a fenced yard or penned area until he's comfortable going in and out of the house. Working on leash, crate, & potty training. He is being fostered in Deerfield, WI taking applications now at our website: BeMyFurEvers.com/adopt ##2222981##
