He is now settling into his foster home in Wisconsin and is doing wonderful. Buster’s story is one of second chances. This 1-year-old Chihuahua mix was surrendered when his previous owner no longer wanted him, but that hasn’t dimmed his joyful spirit. Now safe and out of the shelter, Buster is showing just how special he is. Weighing just 12 pounds, Buster is a super awesome, sweet, and low-key little guy. He has an easygoing personality and loves being around people. In his foster home, he has been affectionate, calm, and happy to just be near his humans. Buster appears to be potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained, which has made his transition into a home smooth and stress-free. He gets along great with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him a wonderful fit for many different types of households. Now that he’s in Wisconsin, Buster is ready to find his forever home where he can continue to feel safe, loved, and secure. Story
10 months old (estimated) Neutered male 8 lbs No known experience with other dogs, cats, or kids Fritz may be small, but his personality is anything but! He’s spunky, energetic, and loves being the center of attention. Fritz enjoys lap time just as much as playtime and will happily charm his way into your heart. The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.February 4, 2026, 1:01 pm

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs! To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info!   ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!***   Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on FEBRUARY 13th and arrive on FEBRUARY 14th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 2/4/2025 Dog Name: Link Sex: Male Estimated Breed: Chihuahua Mix Approximate Age: 2 years Approximate Weight: 9 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Neutered Description: Link and Zelda were found on a busy road close to a small rural Texas town. Link was guiding Zelda on where to go and to stay off the road. They ended up in a small town shelter with no idea what the future would hold. This sweet duo will melt your heart and they just have precious personalities! Link likes to be carried and cuddled. They curl up and take a nap, dreaming about a second chance and a forever home. Please help us save Link! Adoption Fee: $450We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. February 14, 2026, 3:29 pm
