It makes me so sad to write this, but we are looking to re-home our sweet dog Lucy. We are moving and unfortunately are not able to bring her with us. We adopted Lucy during Covid, and she has been such a wonderful family dog ever since. She is incredibly loving, totally safe with kids, loves walks, being around people, scratches, and sneaking treats under the table at dinnertime. She doesn’t get on furniture and is perfectly content laying on a blanket at your feet just happy to be near her people. Lucy does have separation anxiety and has done some significant chewing in our home over the years. She has been on and off anxiety medication, though she generally seems calmer without it. She really loves being outdoors as much as possible, she is calmest and happiest there. Our dream would be to find her a home with a fenced yard — or even some land — where she can roam safely during the day, get lots of attention, and be surrounded by love. Thank you!

My name is Xavier from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 5 month old male Akita - Jindo mix. I weigh approximately 14 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home. I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly. I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever. Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten. I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family. Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend. I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs. I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection! On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup. My adoption fee of $1,295 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle. A GPS tracker or Apple Air Tag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an Air Tag from us We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care. Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet. Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization. Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! NOT!! I am a snuggle bug looking for tummy scratches....I willl MELT for one!! Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Now, before you go all "Lion King" on me, just know that I will be your bestest buddy forever!! Azuki is originally from Iowa. He is still a baby by Akita standards (1.5 years), but is also already very intelligent. He knows sit, lay down, roll over, shake, stand ("up" command) and touch (licks your hand), and is working on heel and come. Azuki loves the outdoors, so he would do well with an active owner. He does have a lot of energy, so training classes, outdoor adventures, and/or enrichment games would really make him happy. He LOVES to cuddle, so he needs an owner who will hug him frequently and let him sleep near them. He does talk back sometimes, but is overall a Good Boy and would thrive in an active, affectionate environment. He's silly (he likes to loaf like a cat), opinionated, smart, and loving. Since he is independent, he would do best with an experienced owner, especially one who knows about confident breeds. He might also benefit from having a friend if you already have a dog.
