Akamaru was born and raised in Arizona with his brother, Scrappleton. He is a sweet little dog with a big personality. He loves all people and wants all the pets he can possibly get. He loves giving kisses and just wiggles all the time because he is always happy. Unfortunately, after raising him for 5 years, our new work schedule does not allow us to give them the time and attention he needs and deserves. We are also moving to a home that does not have a yard. They spent most of their life running around outside and need a home they can do the same. Since he spent his time outdoors growing up, he just recently finished potty training. He loves cuddles and to play with his brother. He is not fixed but only just out of date for his shots. He is a great dog and we just want to find a home where he can have the better life he deserves. He does need to be kept with his brother, Scrappy.

I have owned these two since 5 weeks old. They are both very well trained and good for the home in all aspects. Doggie door trained, crate trained, and very well mannered. I moved to Arizona from California to take care of my ailing 82 year old mother. The dogs really stress her out since she is still traumatized by an incident that happened in her childhood so this extra stress in her condition now is forcing this situation. Blondie is a lover and will try to lick you to death. Petey is a little more timid as he was the last born of the litter. both loving and require little care.

Meet Riggs! Riggs is a little bundle of energy and affection who is always ready for his next adventure—or a cozy cuddle session afterward. He loves going for walks and especially enjoys time at the park where he can run, play, and burn off some of his enthusiasm. Riggs gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. When Riggs came into the care of Valley Dogs, he was suffering from a hip injury that required a femoral head ostectomy (FHO). His veterinarian believes the injury was caused by some type of trauma, such as a fall, jump, or impact to the hip area that resulted in a fracture. Despite his injury, Riggs never let it slow him down. Even before surgery, he happily kept up with his four-legged companions. After surgery, he is simply continuing to enjoy life to the fullest. Riggs would thrive in an active home with a securely fenced yard, especially since he weighs less than 12 pounds. He would love a family that includes him in walks, outings, and everyday activities. While he has not been exposed to children in his foster home, he is expected to do well with respectful kids once he knows he is safe, loved, and part of the family. He would also enjoy having one or more canine companions to play with and help keep him entertained. Meet Kernel (aka Max), your soon-to-be best buddy! Hi there! My name is Kernel, but my foster mom affectionately calls me Max—and I kind of like it. I might come off a bit shy at first, but give me a little time and you'll find me curled up in your lap, handing out kisses like it’s my full-time job. I get along great with the other pups in my foster home (they're all around 35 lbs. and under), and I’ve even had some fun with the neighbor kids! Cats? I haven’t met any yet, so the jury’s still out. I walk nicely on a leash—though sometimes I get a little excited and try to lead the way. A secure yard where I can zoom and sniff would be ideal, and I’d love a doggy sibling to hang out with while you’re out. Snuggle time is very high on my list of favorite things, so don’t be surprised if I sneak into your arms for a cuddle session. I’m potty trained, and while the doggie door is still a bit of a mystery to me, I’m getting the hang of it with practice! Life’s giving me a fresh start, and I’m ready to soak it all in—especially if it involves adventures, soft blankets, and someone to love. Bonus: my ears are ridiculously cute. My name is Sasha! I was brought into rescue from a hoarding situation out of Whittmen Arizona. I came into rescue with 7 puppies, 4 of them are mine, 3 were fosters (Their parents didn't make it, and passed before help arrived) I am a AMAZING girl! I stepped up and raised those babies like my own! I am very smart! I love attention, cuddles, adventures, going for car rides but most of all to cuddle up on the couch and feel loved! I can be a little naughty when no one is around, I've jumped on the counter and helped myself to the grilled chicken, so I am food motivated, however when a boundary is set, I do also listen and learn the rules. I have raised the puppies and recovered very well. I am kennel trained, dog door trained, I am learning how to walk on a leash. I have done well with other foster dogs in the home, I have done well meeting other women and men, I haven't been around smaller kids. I am full grown, I may get a little more plump now that I am spayed, but I am at my ideal weight for my size. Neutered-Vaccinated-Microchipped-Dewormed-Crate trained-Knows how to use a dog door My name is Happy ! My foster mom is Sasha (She's up for adoption, too!) My real mom and dad passed away before help arrived. I came into rescue from a hoarding case out of Whittmann Arizona. I was pretty young, 3 weeks old at most, but super thankful my foster mom took me on! I am super sweet and loving! I am familiar with a kennel and have been working on kennel training since Mid-January , I would do good another dog in the home to help guide me and so I don't feel lonely. I do know how to use a dog door and I am about 90% potty trained, but I do need reminders sometimes, and I am kenneled at night with my bedtime routine. I love toys and chew toys are helping with my new teeth coming in. I am a little more outgoing compared to my siblings, but we are all growing at our own pace.
