Hi! My name is Oliver and I am a 9-year-old 22lb Chiweenie - a wonderful mix of Chihuahua and Dachshund. Forever Loved took me right in from a shelter where I was struggling with all the chaos that goes along with lots of scared and homeless dogs. Right away I was scooped into the loving arms of a foster home and by the end of the first day, I was already starting to blossom. My foster mom says that I am a happy guy and I have a fun, relaxed personality. I love car rides and enjoy looking out while we travel together. I would love to be in a home where you are not gone 10 hours a day because I like hanging out near my humans. I take just a minute to warm up to strangers, and I thrive in a calm and quiet lifestyle, so if there are children in your home, I would love for them to respect me and know that I’m not a stuffed toy.

Cece is an older female. I believe she’s 12 or 13. She’s very good with most people. I got her at the pound over 6 years ago. She’s currently in great health. I’m needing to rehome her because I have an elderly aunt in need of full time care and she has cats. I’m sad to see her go. She does well with children but would definitely supervise until she’s fully comfortable. She’s a lap dog, loves belly scratches, playful and sweet.

I saved this beautiful dog, Cherry, from going to a kill shelter and I hope I can find her a forever home. I am a 26-year-old female with a 5-year-old special needs child and a 7-year-old grumpy Chihuahua who unfortunately doesn't like Cherry. Cherry is an adorable, loving, happy dog that is about 2 years old. She is potty trained, walks well on a leash, can sit and do basic commands and gets along with my son. She loves to go on long walks and explore. I wish I can keep her, but she deserves a better forever home than one with a grumpy dog. I am looking for someone to love and care for her as she is a great dog!

Story
Ralph is an 8-year-old long haired Chihuahua mix. He is a big lover, and nothing makes him happier than to cuddle up with you on a nice warm blanket on the couch. He loves to follow you around the house like a little puppy and will happily follow you outside. To Ralph, being with his person 24/7 is what life’s all about. Ralph would prefer being the only pet in the household. He previously lived with other dogs his size and he currently lives with a very sweet Shih Tzu and cat, but Ralph can be a bit jealous and really prefers to be the center of attention. Not an overly active pup, Ralph enjoys spending a significant amount of time sleeping on the couch. He is a little hard of hearing and can startle easily if he doesn’t know you are there. Being the drama king that he is, he does prefer that he be lifted off the couch even though he is perfectly capable of jumping off. lol He recently had dental work which removed the last of his 3 remaining teeth. He eats wet food but can eat a little dry kibble. His foster mom reports that he is a very messy eater, pulling his food out of his dish. He’ll look up at you as if to say, “hey, you would do the same if you didn’t have any teeth!”. Ralph is a heartworm survivor. He successfully completed heartworm treatment last month. He and another dog from the same family were diagnosed when we pulled them from the shelter in September of last year. He did very well and tested negative in January. We do recommend that his adopter keep up with heartworm preventatives and do annual heartworm testing. With all our rescues, Ralph has been fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He has gone through our Senior Animal Wellness Program which provides a more thorough exam due to his senior status. He has additionally been tested for tick fever, had a urinalysis and x-rays. Medical records will be provided upon adoption.
