Story
Pujo and his sister were barely weaned puppies when they were brought to my sister and me 5 years ago. Their mother had rejected them, but there were no signs of physical defects or health issues that might imply that was the reason. Like his name suggests, Pujo is a very eccentric little dog. He likes to keep to himself for the most part, but he also likes to sit right beside you on the couch for endless pets. He is very playful with toys, but he can only chase his sister around so long before he decides it’s too much effort to catch up to her. Pujo is significantly more sensitive than Cookie is. Due to his environment, he is not only leash-and barrier- reactive as well, but he is also averse to feet or shoes coming too close to him. He has also developed a habit of resource guarding in his adult years, especially towards his food bowl and my sister’s bed. What Pujo needs is someone who can respect his space at the same time as they can show him love in his own special language.

5 years ago, Cookie and her brother were brought to my sister and me as barely weaned puppies. We were told that their mother rejected them, but there were no immediate defects or health issues that might imply this is the reason. Cookie is very sensitive and anxious- but also a very special girl. She loves to eat, sunbathe, and run around her backyard like a little rocket! She also loves car rides, especially when it leads to a nice hike outdoors! What Cookie needs more than anything is a patient and loving person to understand when she is feeling overwhelmed and give her the confident guidance needed to calm her nerves. She has never done well with dogs other than her brother, as she is leash- and barrier- reactive. Regardless of this, she is such a sweet little dog who thrives off of proper love and care. All Cookie wants is to learn to make HER person happy, whether that is through training on her daily walks or cuddles on the couch in a warm sunspot.
