Chester is a 1-year-old, 9-pound pup who came into the Calexico shelter as a stray. The shelter was overwhelming for him, so he moved into a foster home after about two weeks — and he’s been blossoming ever since. When Chester first arrived, he wasn’t used to human affection and preferred to hide. With patience, he’s learned to trust and now enjoys being close by. He still needs a calm, patient home that will give him the time and space he needs to feel safe. Chester is a sweet, curious little guy who loves the company of other dogs and even lives peacefully with two cats in his foster home. He especially thrives when he has a confident dog friend to show him the ropes — and to romp around with! One of Chester’s favorite things is going on walks. He’s also very food-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. He’s a smart boy who’s eager to learn once he feels comfortable. The ideal home for Chester is one that’s quiet and understanding, with a family willing to let him come out of his shell at his own pace. With love and patience, Chester will reward you with loyalty, companionship, and lots of tail wags.

I am heartbroken to have to find a new home for her but changes in our schedules make it impossible to give her the love and attention she needs. We are seeking a loving home that can devote the time and attention. Jazz is a very sweet dog, she has only been around one other dog. She is very timid initially but she will warm up to whoever is giving her attention/treats. She loves to be held.
