Story
Egg yolk is ready to find his forever home here in sf Bay area! He's appx 3 to 4 yrs old, mixed breed but he's such a cute lil guy. He weights about 17lbs, loves to eat, crate trained. He does well with other dogs and is a bit shy in new environment and people but he will gradually open up. No aggression at all! He still needs to learn to walk on leash but he's a smart pup and will learn fairly quickl. He doesn't bark much and he loves to rub himself on the floor for back rubs 😄

Story
Peanut is a happy guy who loves attention! He is smart, obedient, & loves to play! He has lots of energy, but is also an excellent snuggler & lap partner. He likes to sleep on the back of the couch & on the bed. He gets cold and will burrow into blankets…so a primarily indoor home (during colder months) is ideal for him! He loves everyone, but tends to be territorial when it comes to other animals. He’s been raised with 1 owner.

Story
&#226&#156&#168 Meet Birdie & Minnie — A Magical Bonded Duo &#226&#156&#168 Palo Alto, CA • Northern CA Adoption Only • Must Be Adopted Together Birdie and Minnie are a tiny, enchanting team who prove that love, trust, and joy don’t require sight. These two beautiful girls are blind, but once they feel safe in their space, you’d never know it. They learn their surroundings quickly, explore with confidence, and will happily follow their foster parents around the house and yard like the sweetest little parade. They’re world&#226&#128&#145class snugglers, generous with kisses, and absolutely devoted to their humans. Meet the Girls Birdie ~5 years old 9 lbs Possibly a Chihuahua/Spaniel mix (but who really knows!) The steady leader of the pair — Minnie’s guide, comfort, and maybe even her mom Minnie ~2 years old 5.5 lbs Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix with a gloriously fluffy coat that makes her look bigger than she is The tiny shadow who follows Birdie’s lead with total trust Both girls are spayed, had dentals just last week, and have been evaluated by an eye specialist at Sage, who believes they’ve been blind since birth.   A Bond Like No Other Birdie and Minnie are inseparable. They play together, sleep curled up together, and even share a food bowl. If Birdie does it, Minnie is right behind her. Their connection is deep, comforting, and absolutely heart&#226&#128&#145melting.   What They Need Because they are blind, Birdie and Minnie can startle at new sounds and need time to adjust to unfamiliar environments. They thrive with gentle voices, predictable routines, and a safe setup. It is ideal for blind dogs to have a patient sighted dog in the home. We'd love for the future home to have a gentle sighted dog. A few things their future family should be ready for: Baby gates for any stairs A protected, consistent home layout A cozy safe space (we can provide a pen) Patience as they map out their new world Experience with visually impaired dogs is preferred but not required — their foster family will guide you through everything you need to know.    Meet&#226&#128&#145and&#226&#128&#145Greets Birdie and Minnie are currently in Palo Alto, and all meet&#226&#128&#145and&#226&#128&#145greets will take place in their foster home where they feel secure and confident. These girls are pure sweetness, resilience, and devotion wrapped in two tiny, fluffy packages. If you’re ready to open your heart to a bonded pair who will love you endlessly, Birdie and Minnie are waiting. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for BIRDIE AND MINNIE is $6 00. Story
&#226&#156&#168 Meet Naomi McGee — The Sweetest Little Girl Ready for Her Forever Home &#226&#156&#168 Naomi McGee is a 1–2 year old, 9 lb Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix with a joyful spirit and a heart full of love. You might remember her as the devoted mama of puppies Mac and Cheese — she raised them beautifully, watched them head off to their forever homes, and now it’s finally her turn to find a family of her own. Naomi is incredibly social and loves everyone she meets. She’s an amazing road&#226&#128&#145trip buddy, a fetch fanatic, and a toy&#226&#128&#145playing machine. When she’s not zooming around with her favorite squeaky, she’s burrowing under the covers for snuggles. She’s the perfect blend of playful and cuddly. Her Personality Friendly with men, women, and older children Great with small dogs Cat&#226&#128&#145approved Not a fan of larger dogs Sweet, affectionate, and endlessly charming Her Medical Needs Naomi has congenital Megaesophagus (ME) and has been evaluated by an internist at SAGE RWC. The good news: she’s incredibly easy to care for. Takes her two medications (Omeprazole + Sildenafil) like a champ Eats in an upright position Thrives with routine and a little extra mindfulness at mealtimes An ideal home has experience with ME or is willing to learn — her foster family can guide you, and Naomi makes it easy. Her Dream Home Naomi would love a calm, loving home where she can be adored, included, and supported. She’s young, fun, and full of life — she just needs a family who can give her the simple accommodations she needs to stay healthy and happy. Story
My sweet dog is 4 years old, be 5 on Jan 31/26. She’s truly very loyal and loving and gentle with kids. She’s also not at all territorial. She’s playful and a joy. Her biggest issue is that when she’s on leash she can be unpredictable and can jump or growl at other people or dogs. In addition, when I have new people come over I either crate her or put her on leash and do a slow introduction. I like to describe her as the queen of worst first impressions. She is all bark and no bite and has never hurt anyone but she does “scare” a lot of people since she jumps. I’m sadly rehoming her due to having a baby and not having enough time to give her the attention she needs. I feel she deserves better. She needs to run around a lot and is extremely fast. She is somewhat okay off leash. My child is a toddler and she’s excellent around them and loves them. I would be interested to get to know her new family and maybe have some visits over the years and would love photos.
