Story
Thin Mint is a gentleman of the doxie variety; a lengthy, well-appointed chap with the classic bells and whistles, including a long velvet snout, stubby legs, and luxury ear flaps. He also has a one-of-kind face that is both acutely handsome and appropriate for classic Greek theatre or possibly the circus. We are talking next level adorability in a sweet lap-dwelling pup who is great with dogs, cats and kids. Perfection comes to mind. Come see if you agree. Here's some notes from his foster: So far so good! He is a sweetheart. He walked around the house to familiarize himself with the place. We've been outside for a few short walks. He tried food a few times. Now he is just lying down and observing. What a good boy!

Story
Thank you for your inquiry. Bambi has an adopter but we have to wait for them to go pick her up after the stay-at-home is lifted. Once she is picked up we will remove her profile. Please do not write to us for an application. Sorry for any inconvenience. Bambi is extremely shy. She is approximately 1 year old and weighs just 7 lbs. Once she warms up she is very affectionate. Bambi wouldn't do well in a busy home with loud fast children because she would be scared of them. She gets along well with cats, though, and doesn't chase them. She is good with other dogs of all sizes and plays with them when she isn’t coming to you for love. She loves to cuddle up on your lap or in your bed at night! She is simply a loving little doll. Bambi is very calm and well-behaved. She is good on a leash as well. Bambi needs a quiet home without a lot of noise or strange people coming over all the time for her to feel safe and comfortable. She is very sweet and not aggressive at all, even when scared. She would do best in a home with another dog or where she has contact with her owner throughout the day. because they are home She wouldn’t do well left alone for a full workday without a canine companion. Bambi is a loyal companion once she gets to know you and will show you love and affection. She would do best with somewhere like a patio or a yard so she can go out as she does now to do her business. This little doll is a lovable, cuddly, and trusting little girl when she gets to know you. Given some time and patience, she will warm up to someone willing to give her the loving and secure home that she deserves. Bambi is being fostered in Oakland. Ca. Her adoption fee is $275.00. Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received. Please contact us at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com for more information about this great gal or for an application to adopt.

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, February 24th unless he/she is adopted prior to the event with a set up home. The event is from 12 pm to 3 pm at Palo Alto's Pet Food Express. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite. Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event. Adoption Fee: $650 Croissant is a 6 month old Pit Bull x Dachshund mix who came to us from the shelter. We may not know how Croissant landed in the shelter but we know this handsome and goofy dude is going to melt the heart of anyone he meets. Croissant is still growing but we expect him to be on the medium-large size when he is fully grown!    Below is a note from Croissant’s foster.  “Croissant is a loving, curious, adorable, playful, and sweet puppy. Croissant has blossomed in his time with us and loves his people more than anything in the world. The shelter told us he was so sad at the shelter he would just keep his head down when they walked by, so we have shown him all the love and he’s made such a quick turnaround! He adores his toys, especially his stuffed hippo. He loves walks and he loves our other dogs. It has been so special to see his confidence grow more and more each day. Croissant is much more mellow than a typical puppy and is a total couch potato. He’s up for a walk but he’s also up for a movie day snuggled up with his family!  Croissant wakes up around 7:30 AM and goes right outside for a potty break. He comes inside for breakfast and does the cutest little hops as he waits for his food. He is very food motivated and loves to please his people. He hangs out with us on the couch or plays with our other dog as we get ready for the day. He gets a short walk around 8 AM and he loves getting his sniffs on as he searches for the perfect stick to carry around. He gets a potty break in the afternoon and then spends his time napping and playing. He gets dinner around 5:30 PM and then another walk. In the evening, he lounges on the couch on his blanket throne and plays with his foster siblings. He goes to bed around 9:30 PM and snoozes happily through the night in his crate.  Croissant’s ideal new family will be ready to encourage and celebrate him as he gains his confidence. Croissant gets along well with our resident dogs and loves playing with them. Croissant is working on his potty training in our house. Croissant is such a sweetheart and loves being cuddled. He would love a playmate in his new home but would also do well as a solo dog. This kissy lovely pup is ready to make your life complete!”   Croissant is only an option for those who have owned a dog in the past 5 years. Kids in the home should be over the age of 7.February 27, 2024, 11:15 pm

Korg came from Asgard via the local shelter determined to find his very own crew. Korg has an absolutely adorable little face captured in his 8 pound body and he can’t wait to get his new life started on Earth!    Below is a note from Korg’s foster.  “Korg is a wonderful little companion who adores cuddles and showering his people in love. He adores toys and playing and is generally a fabulously happy dog. He follows me around happily as I go about my day, but is also great at occupying himself when needed. Korg is fully crate trained and house trained. He is a fabulous mix of playful and snuggly. He is happy to run around after a toy, but is also eager to curl up for a movie marathon! Korg is such a great and low-maintenance dog, happy as long as he has his person with him to shower him in love and snuggles. Korg starts his day at 6 AM with a romp around the yard before breakfast. He loves his meals so he happily eats his breakfast until it is time for his walk with his foster brother. He walks around for around 30 minutes and then spends a few hours snoozing. Throughout the day, he plays with the other dogs, sleeps, plays, and sleeps some more! He has dinner at 6 PM and then curls up on the heating pad on the couch as I unwind from the day. He heads to bed around 9 PM in his crate, snuggled up under a blanket.  Korg gets along well with my resident dog and his other DPS foster sibling. He gets along with all people he meets and loves climbing into a warm lap! He walks very well on a leash and politely greets all dogs he passes. Korg is truly such a special dog who deserves the absolute best!”   Korg is an option for just about any home, regardless of prior experience. He would be a fabulous first time dog. Korg is an option for kids over the age of 5. February 27, 2024, 11:15 pm
