Story
Stewie is a velcro pup who will break your heart. He’s super smart and quick to learn! Nondestructive, loves his toys, and is excellent on walks (doesn’t pull, walks a nice pace). He was neglected in his previous home and was not socialized with other animals, so he would do best as the only pet. He currently lives with cats and is fine with them but will try to guard his food. He does not like meeting other dogs while we are on walks. Other than that he is truly an amazing companion! He’s loyal, devoted, and utterly heart-melting. Stewie will ready to be someone's very best friend by early October and goes home will all his vaccines (won’t need a check up for a year), neutered, microchipped, and the works. He would enjoy someone who understands dog body language and a calmer home.

Story
Meet Waffles, a sweet and happy little girl with a heart of gold! Waffles is super smart, well-behaved, and sweet as can be. She is food-motivated but not food-obsessed, which has helped with training. She’s already nailed “sit” and hasn’t had one accident since entering her foster home - so incredible! Waffles has been sleeping through the night and loves to snuggle in bed. She’s also very communicative and observant, making her incredibly intuitive when it comes to taking direction and connecting with her foster family. Even though she has the prettiest brown eyes, it’s her left ear that really takes center stage. Perpetually windblown, she blows Heidi Klum out of the water! Waffles loves to play and explore! As soon as you let her out of her enclosure, she’s all wiggles and smiles. She has a super strong nose, which she loves to follow as it leads her on little adventures around the yard, investigating the hot gossip among the bumblebees and flowers.  Waffles is definitely a people pup. She jumps at the chance to cuddle with her foster parents and sit on their laps, but also does great in her crate, only giving a few soft cries before settling down or playing independently with her toys.  Despite her small size, Waffles has a beautiful confidence and self-assuredness about her. With new dogs, stray kitties, and strangers, she initially approaches with caution and keeps her distance until she knows she’s safe. She’s warming up faster and faster as she becomes more socialized. But once Waffles feels comfortable, playtime is ON! For humans, that means wiggles and kisses. With her puppy foster brother, it means light wrestling! Waffles had been so impressive when it comes to getting to know her massive 75+ lb Great Pyr puppy foster brother. Despite initially being intimidated by his size and booming bark, she has shown so much excitement and patience as he figures out the power of his paws. During their play sessions, she’s quick to gently let him know if he’s being too rough without escalating the situation. She’s truly a great communicator and so brave! Waffles is currently living with two kitties. She’s still figuring them out but mostly lets them be. When she does approach them, she may bark and stomp her feet in an attempt to get them to play, but she’s easily redirected. Waffles would do best in a home where she can get lots of love, snuggles, and continued socialization. If you’re looking for a sweet and affectionate little sidekick with one gorgeous floppy ear, Waffles is your girl! ##2837359##

Story
🐾 Meet Jolene — A Tiny Girl with a Whole Lot of Sass! 🐾Jolene is a 6-month-old sweetheart from our special Dolly Parton/Kenny Rogers litter, and this petite girl may be the tiniest, but she certainly doesn't act like it! She's a sassy little firecracker with a sweet side that makes her completely irresistible.Jolene is the smallest of the litter at just under 9 pounds, and she's expected to stay wonderfully petite. She may be tiny, but this girl has a fierce little personality and plenty of confidence packed into her small frame. She's the perfect size for someone looking for a little companion who can go just about anywhere.Jolene is also the oddball of her siblings in the cutest way. While the rest of the litter has a different look and more scruffy coats, Jolene is the only smooth-coated girl and looks more like a little Dachshund. Her unique appearance makes her stand out, but it's her personality that will really steal your heart.Jolene came into our care as an owner surrender and is now ready for a forever family who will appreciate her big personality, tiny size, and sweet heart. She's ready to leave her past behind and start the next chapter of her life with someone who will adore her. This special litter was named as a tribute to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, two country music legends whose friendship and music touched generations. We especially love honoring Dolly because she has always been a true animal lover and advocate, making her the perfect inspiration for these little rescue pups. ❤️🐾Jolene may be small, but she's got enough personality for a whole room—and she's ready to fill your life with love, laughter, and just a little bit of sass!📍 Located in Texas – can be transported once adopted. Transport fee is $300.📝 Apply to adopt Jolene:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $300).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Marnie is a gorgeous girl with a spring in her step despite her difficult background. Originally discovered wandering the streets scavenging for food, Marnie was brought into a loving home. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the wonderful people who took her in are now themselves between homes and are unable to properly care for this lovely lady. Now Marnie is currently being fostered and showered with love, but she still needs to find her final forever home! Marnie may be getting on in years, but you'd never be able to tell! Marnie can usually be seen on her hind legs looking for a cuddle and a kiss, and she can even make her way onto your bed for a nice nap without any assistance. Despite her seemingly endless energy Marnie just wants to be loved and to cuddle up - she is perfectly content wherever her main human is. Marnie could do with a little refresher on her leash etiquette, but she isn't one to pull. Unfortunately due to some poor encounters with off-leash dogs Marnie can be tense when meeting new dogs - she isn't aggressive, but would do best in a home where she can have some time to herself (and for hugs from her human!) Are you able to give Marnie her final forever home and a life filled with love? Please contact us!
