Story
Cooper is a very sweet 5 year old. He wants all your attention and will love sitting in your lap all day. He is okay with other dogs after he gets used to them. He is wonderful with children and cats. Unfortunately, he doesn’t play with toys or our other dog. He pees when he is excited or scared. He constantly competes for attention and barks at every thing. He gets separation anxiety. We adopted him from a previous owner at 4 years old and we haven’t been able to get him where we would love to keep forever. We are expecting another baby and we don’t have the time or much patience left to work with him. He may be happiest with a person who will give him all their attention while being the only dog in the home. If someone is familiar with his breed type (we were told dachshund and Corgi mix) and training dogs would be ideal for Cooper. I want to make sure he is safe, loved and in a better suited environment so he can flourish.

Story
Gibbs - MN Dachshund x 3.5 yrs. 9.8 lbs. Can you believe we saw Gibbs at a shelter and no one wanted this adorable little shortie? Gibbs is a doxie/chi mix and those ears are to die for!  I just want to pet him and snuggle him.  Since he has the doxie in him and a long doxie back, older children over 10 are going to be the best fit as he can be injured easily.  Gibbs will need a safe yard (they can get out easily) and door safety rules (if you have kids). He would like a friend to play with as he is playful!  Put in an application today at eapl.com.  His adoption fee is $250 April 18, 2024, 11:19 am

Story
Meet Sigmund! This lil stud is 4-month-old Doxie mixed with something awesome.  He has a big manly chest, strong beefy arms, legs, and hands, and a cute button butt. He has a small head and ears compared to his chest. But a large head and ears compared to his butt. He’s an orangeish tan and brown brindle. Which kinda just seems like a tanned redhead in disguise. Fully potty trained and is nothing but a gentleman. He has a sweet demeanor when meeting people, people are his favorite. And he does really well with dogs of all sizes! (Unknown with cats, but I’d suspect well, as he is playful but not prey-driven). He’d do well with kids, but still has puppy teeths that he plays with. His favorite thing to do is to take all the toys outside, one by one. He is also a big fan of snoring in your face and walking like a big man on campus with his big little head held high and tail wagging. He naps the bestest with his friends!  His adoption fee is $250 Put in an app at eapl.com  April 18, 2024, 11:19 am

Story
Saucily sporting a brown “pirate patch” over her left eye is sweet 1-year-old Sammie. Saved from an abusive situation, she swiftly settled into her foster home and puts all of her 19 pounds into being the most snuggly little lap dog around. Happiest when she’s touching her foster mom and showering her with kisses, she’s equally happy learning about all things dog from her older foster sister, following in her paw steps and winning an “A” for effort. She now loves going for walks, honing her leash skills along the way (she may make an excellent hiking companion), and despite her prey drive, she’s been doing well with the resident cats. Coming when called and starting to work on her basic commands, Sammie is mainly motivated by love and is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. With much still to learn and much love to share, this sociable sweetheart will thrive in a loving home that will continue bolstering her confidence, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her happily fulfilled, both mentally and physically, fur-ever. Story
Putting the “b” into bouncy, 12-week-old Bodie is 9 pounds of boundless puppy spirit and spunk! Nicknamed her “little toaster” by his admiring foster mom because he’s not afraid of anything, he’s as sweet and snuggly as he is fearless and LOVES cuddling with her, resting his head on her, rolling over for belly rubs and impressing her with his Bodie version of the ranger crawl. Fond of hiding his toys, he prefers particularly soft and chewy ones because he’s still teething, although he does enjoy chewing bones and playing fetch. To burn off his excess energy, he also enjoys going on walks, honing his leash skills along the way. He gets along well with the resident children, cats and other dogs, is motivated by food, toys and love, currently knows “sit” and “no,” accepts all treats gently, and is diligently at work on his crate and house-training and puppy manners. Only just beginning life’s journey, Bodie will bloom in an active and loving family, perhaps with another equally active pup, that will perfect his manners and complete his training, including his commands, in exchange for his own enduring loyalty and love. Story
Butterscotch is living proof that good things come in small packages. He’s a walking, squeaking, cuddling, wiggling source of joy and endorphins. This little guy loves everyone he meets, canine or human. He has even won the hearts of his three foster dog sisters, who are usually pretty standoffish, and he plays and tumbles with them with the perfect mixture of deference and spunkiness. After playtime and in the evenings, Butterscotch looooovvvves to cuddle and fall asleep on someone’s lap, He’s very smart and has taken to crate training, potty training and routines like an absolute champ. Next he’s planning on starting to learn his commands. Butterscotch is a male 2 month old miniature dachshund mix and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt him will have a truly amazing friend and companion. Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##1983108##

Story
Meet Gouda! Gouda is an incredibly sweet basset hound mix. She is definitely a puppy, but seems to be on the older age of a puppy. She is very playful and has a funny personality. She really loves other dogs and looks to them for guidance. She would make a wonderful addition to a family that is looking for a companion for their current dog. While she is small, she plays well with all size dogs. Her current foster sister is 120lbs and she loves her. She has also been around smaller and mid sized dogs as well. While she does have puppy energy, she doesn't mind a couple naps during the day and sleeps through the entire night. She is a little nervous of people when she first meets them, but once she warms up she is a HUGE snuggler and will turn into your shadow. She seems to have no problem making herself at home, however she is learning her rules. As mentioned before, she really does look for guidance from other dogs, so a super successful home will have another dog that she can play with and learn from. You can't go wrong with this super sweet soul, she will be a wonderful addition to your family! ##1998120##
